Alexis Sands is an own voices author, single-mom, drinker of too much coffee, obsessive cleaner, expert at starting over, and a master at building walls. Her debut novel, much like the author herself, doesn’t conform to traditional rules. Slated doesn’t fit into a cookie-cutter mold of the new adult or erotic romance genres.

As a mental health awareness advocate, she's passionate about striving for more authentic representations of characters in fiction that suffer from a mental illness.
