Again it was another roller coaster of emotion we are taken on. After Mira wakes up for her dream and realizes things are not how she thought they were, what happens between her and Sky now? Can she hurt Danny? We are taken on a roller coaster of emotions, pain, heart break, so many emotions. It was another amazing book and I loved every second of it. I cant give too much away, because there is soo much that goes on. And i cant tell you who Mira ends up with. And let me tell you, at the end of the book we have another shocker, Ashley Suzanne does it to us again. One of the best series I have ever read, my full review to come once it is out. But you will not be disappointed guys.

Let me just tell you how great this book is! I had tears!!! I Do. Not. Cry. Well, I didn't anyway. (Only over Chase - you better know who that is - and that is just a given) Book One - Mirage left me in such turmoil I actually thought about throwing my kindle. Obvisouly decided against that. (I'd throw a child first or maybe even a puppy - kidding! Kind of!
This book really showed the struggle Mira had since waking up. Nothing is as it seemed and yet everything in here "dream" was so real. Reality becomes skewed and it takes some real internal searching for Mira, Skylar and even Danny. Mira is not the same person and may never be again. Of course, Skylar and Danny were great and reminded you exactly how and why Mira is so torn. Both are truly her best friends and her since of "home" and decisions always come with a price.

Awakening picks up right where we are left at the end of Mirage. Mira's life has changed drastically and she finds herself in a position where she no longer feels the certainty she did about who it is that her whole heart belongs to. Basically, she has two great options, but it isn't possible any longer for her to be with one without hurting the other and herself in the process.
Skylar is struggling with the idea that the person he has been in love with for years returns his feelings, but at what cost to his other important friendship?
The great thing about this book is that we get the perspectives of the three main characters, so we get to really see how each one of them is challenged and desperately trying to do what is best for themselves as well as the people they love the most. The sexual chemistry between two of these characters is undeniable. One thing I really enjoyed about this series was watching the relationships between the characters evolve and and change throughout their late teens through early adulthood. It was difficult at times, but it felt real. I like how Mira tried to be very honest and upfront about her feelings while being considerate of both parties involved. Everyone's goal to not deceive one another was really refreshing to see when the characters have so many mixed feelings and conflicting emotions.
Like with the first book, I found some of the dialogue a little choppy. I also found Mira's behavior during a couple of different situations very immature. That was hard for me, because overall I thought she was someone who handled the complexities of her situation pretty well. Through everything, I found these characters interesting and I really did want them to find a way through their situation. I enjoyed the tie-in with another series of books that I liked a lot. I also look forward to reading about Kylee's story in the future. 3.5 stars.

I wasn't sure how much I would like Awakening. I was hoping that it wouldn't play out that Mira stays with Danny even though she wants Skylar. It actually was better than I thought. When Mira woke up from her coma she is in love with Sky. She wants to be with him, not Danny. Coincidentally Danny also met someone while Mira was in the coma, Melissa. They are just friends, but they became close in the hospital.
Danny is so happy when Mira wakes up, but unfortunately Mira just keeps shying away from him. She wants to be with Sky, but he doesn't want to hurt Danny like that. Plus he thinks she will go back to Danny after a while once she remembers what she had with him. Mira and Sky do have one evening where they almost go all the way, but they both stop knowing it would never work. They would both feel too guilty doing that to Danny.
After that, Sky gives her up and wants her to try again with Danny. Mira does, and it goes okay for a few weeks. They start dating again, and even though it is good it is not like with Sky. She looks back on her past and notices she had always been close to Skylar. In photos she is closer to him than Danny, etc. One night she tries to have sex with Danny and well...it just doesn't seem right to either of them. That is it for them, it just doesn't work.
Finally a little while after that Sky shows up at her place and asks her on a date. They get together and it is so nice. Now I don't really know what she was like with Danny before, but she seems like she fits perfectly with Sky. They are so great together, and into the same things. It was nice, though then at the end you have that Danny is now seeing Melissa. Of course, you had to have everything get wrapped up perfectly.

I’m in a major book hang over right now because of this book. I stayed up till 4AM to finish this book, and am now so sad it’s over. I freaking loved this book! The emotional turmoil is still there from the previous two books, and Awakening picks right up where Mirage left off and keeps you hanging till the very end.
Now that I’ve read Awakening I like and dislike Danny all the same, I feel bad for him, but at the same time, he does some shitty things as well, and I think when all was finished the right decisions were made, even if they were tough.
Skylar, OMG I freaking love Skylar, even though I wanted to slap him a few times, I know why he was doing what he did, and I respected him for it. My heart broke for Mira a few times with trying to figure everything out, but I’m so happy with how this story ended.
I loved the story of Skylar, Danny, and Mira and can’t wait to see what’s in store for Kylee! This group of characters are so amazing and I absolutely loved reading the first part of this series. I recommend this series to everyone. It is so amazingly written and the story is written beautifully.

Wow this book was amazing. Once again Ashley Suzanne wrote an amazing story. You need to read Mirage and Inception before you read Awakening. In case you have not read Mirage or Inception yet, I will try to keep this review spoiler free from anything shocking in Mirage and Inception. Awakening is told in Mira, Skylar, and Danny's POV. It was really great to be able to get into all their heads.
In Awakening Mira is trying to put herself back together. She is struggling with what is real and what was a dream. Danny and Skylar also struggle with their feelings for Mira. Mira's best friend Kylee is also having man trouble. We finally are told who Jacoby is and how he fits into the story.
Awakening is an emotional roller coaster. With Awakening, Ashely breaks you into emotional pieces but in the end she puts you back together. The Queen of cliffhangers actually gives a HEA in this story. The epilogue is in Kylee's POV. The epilogue leaves us wanting more and I can't wait for Kylee's story in Facade.

Awakening is a heart squeeze start to finish and a bit of yo-yo as she tries to decide between two truly wonderful men to whom her heart belongs. It takes her several false starts but her heart decides for her, and thankfully, she listened. The feels were strong, always close, and on diamond point throughout. The writing was steamy, emotive, and well paced. I could not put my kindle down.

I loved this story. I loved the friendships of all of them. The story flowed well, but not to predictable. You must read Mirage before you read this one.
I would totally recommend this book!

I had a hard time understating why Sky was in the room when she woke up and not Danny. They're love was so strong and deep and it just seemed like he was a little disappointed that she woke up. He seemed to move on and "grieve" to soon. Sky on the other hand acted like it was his gf laying there.
I thought there would have been more drama or turmoil between Danny and Sky. Here both of them are fighting for the one person they want/need more than air. I was expecting more of a fight from each of them.
The one thing I was completely shocked about was Danny, or anyone else for that matter never telling her she was pregnant. It was only mentioned the one time in the book and then never brought up again. That is a huge event and that was never talked about again.

RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW
I have been impatiently and eagerly waiting for this book. The end of Mirage, book 1, left me in completely and utter shock. I had to know who Mira was going to pick. If you are like me, Team Skylar, you hoped for that choice, but I could see Ashley Suzanne going either way with this story. She loves to play the mind game and keep you on your toes and let me just say...she absolutely does. Awakening has a little of everything...humor, friendship, love and heartache.

Ashley Suzanne has done it again! This book answers any and all questions you are left with in Mirage. She makes it real and relate able. I love that the series is based in MI being from Detroit myself I know all of the places she talks about. She gives her readers drama, joy and a HEA! I can't wait to see what else Ashley has to offer in her next book! This is a must read that will bring you into the hearts of all the characters.

First off...TEAM SKYLAR!!!
I was so frustrated reading this book, I get that Skylar and Mira didn't want to hurt Danny but how do you put aside such strong chemistry and deny your heart the love it needs and wants?! So frustrating! But I absolutely LOVED this book along with the first two.
I don't review and give away a whole book but if you are a fan of the destined series this is a MUST READ!! And if your not a fan WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! Lol go get the books ASAP!!!!

Oh my sweet baby jesus this was amazing! After reading Mirage the cliffhanger from hell I was like no why I love mira and skylar together. So when awaking csm out I was hell yea! And let me tell you it is awesome you must read this book like now!

4.5. I loved that Mira was so mature during the whole situation, but I really thought there would be more turmoil or angst when sky and Danny were fighting over her. Still emotional, but I was team Sky all the way. So happy with the ending and looking forward to facade, Kylie's story

What can I say, Ashley you did it again!!!!! This story is very intriguing and captivating just like the first book, Mirage. Awakening starts off right where Mirage ended. Mira is confused and believes she is in love with Skylar and wants to be with him. But how can she betray Danny? She doesn't want to hurt him. Skylar is torn between his love for Mira and his loyalty to Danny. How can you steal your best friend's girl? That is just wrong! Can he give up the love of his life to ensure Danny's happiness???
The book was a roller coaster ride of emotions and downright heartache! There were times when I was so pissed off at Mira, I wanted to throw my iPad. I kept thinking to myself, this cannot be happening!! But after my tantrum ended and I looked at the bigger picture, I realized you can't just move on with someone without fully understanding the whole story. You need to dig deep down inside of yourself and be honest with yourself. You have to let go of your fears and insecurities and just hope that your choice is the right one.
I really enjoyed this book because Ashley shows us the connection between 3 friends, actually more like three soul-mates. The love between Danny, Skylar, and Mira is so authentic and real, it's hard not to miss that they all really do care about one another. Yes, this story is about the love of a man and a woman, but it's more than that. It's the love between all three of them and all three have to hang on to hope. Hope that one day, no matter who Mira chooses, they will have each other in the long run.
I am so honored to have read this series and I am so proud of Ashley Suzanne. Her writing is so fresh and honest. She literally paints pictures of the story and I felt like I was watching a movie. I laughed, I cried, I rejoiced, and I am in awe! Ashley Suzanne wrote a great piece of literature and this series has truly become one of my favorites. She is an amazing author and I cannot wait to read the next story of the series, Facade!!

Looooved this one 2!!!
The first book was great and this one was good too! It did have a slow period where I was wishing for a decision to be made already, but I pushed through. Love the characters, the drama, suspense, and of course the passion!!! Great read!!!

This series is amazing. The twists are off the charts.

"Awakening" picks up right where "Mirage" left off. Mira has a hard time telling her reality apart form her dreams. How can she be in love with two men when she was certain she only had eyes for her fiance Danny? Can you really wake up one day and be completely in love with your best friend and wish your reality was different than it is?
Skylar has been in love with Mira since the day he laid eyes on her four years ago in college. Skylar has had to sit back and watch his best friend since childhood plan his future with the woman Skylar was secretly in love with. As long as Danny was happy, Skylar would give up his happiness and live the rest of his life sitting on the sidelines supporting his friend's even if it meant giving up his own happiness. What Skylar did not count on is Mira falling head over heels in love with him out of nowhere. He wants Mira so bad but his loyalty to his best friend is more important than breaking a heart for his own happiness. Can Mira stay with Danny and ignore what her heart wants to not hurt the man she thought owned her completely for four years, or will the thought of not being with the man that owns her heart completely now rip her to shreds? Following the pain, passion, and love of this trio was heart breaking and heartwarming all at the same time.
I have a thing for bad boy bikers with tattoo's so of course I was rooting for Skylar the entire time! Don't get me wrong, Danny is such a sweet guy and is the perfect boyfriend, but my heart broke for Skylar when he was willing to give up a piece of his heart for his best friend's happiness. He is so loyal to his friends and although he looks strong, he is such a sensitive soul deep down. This book definitely took me on a journey of self discovery and being true to yourself even if it will take others down in the process. The heart wants what it wants and sometime's that means hurting yourself or other's in the process even if it feels like a knife to the heart in the process. I really enjoyed this read and give it 4 stars! I cannot wait to see where book three takes us! I just know that all of these characters will find their happily ever after, because we all deserve to be happy even when we think we don't!

This is the third book in the Destined Series, there was #1 and then there was a middle book 1.5 before this one was released.
YES you have to read #1 to understand this book or follow the story at all!! YOU CANNOT read this book without reading book one!!!
This book started right where book one left off.
Mira's life has changed. Everything she thought was real might not be. How can she choose between the men that she loves.
This story will have you spiraling out of control and wanting more.
I loved this story!! AAAHHH!! I just can't tell you what this book has done to me. I learned to fall even deeper in love with Skylar, he is so selfless and beautiful. And all he wants is for Mira to be happy. Even if that causes him to be un-happy for the rest of his life.
Mira is confused and understandably so, who would choose the things that have happened to her, she is a strong woman, especially when she needs to be. She leans on her best friend Kylee, and it shows a beautiful friendship between these two.
Even as things are going out of control for all of these best friends they are still there for each other, and they still never leave each others sides because it gets too rough for them.
This story is about second chances, first loves, best friends, and family! This story is about tragedy and putting your life back together the best way you know how! Sometimes life isn't perfect, sometimes life gives you what you don't deserve, but it's what you do with that life after all that makes it worth while. Join Mira on her journey to find out what life she really wants to live.

What can I say, Ashley you did it again!!!!! This story is very intriguing and captivating just like the first book, Mirage. Awakening starts off right where Mirage ended. Mira is confused and believes she is in love with Skylar and wants to be with him. But how can she betray Danny? She doesn't want to hurt him. Skylar is torn between his love for Mira and his loyalty to Danny. How can you steal your best friend's girl? That is just wrong! Can he give up the love of his life to ensure Danny's happiness???
The book was a roller coaster ride of emotions and downright heartache! There were times when I was so pissed off at Mira, I wanted to throw my iPad. I kept thinking to myself, this cannot be happening!! But after my tantrum ended and I looked at the bigger picture, I realized you can't just move on with someone without fully understanding the whole story. You need to dig deep down inside of yourself and be honest with yourself. You have to let go of your fears and insecurities and just hope that your choice is the right one.
I really enjoyed this book because Ashley shows us the connection between 3 friends, actually more like three soul-mates. The love between Danny, Skylar, and Mira is so authentic and real, it's hard not to miss that they all really do care about one another. Yes, this story is about the love of a man and a woman, but it's more than that. It's the love between all three of them and all three have to hang on to hope. Hope that one day, no matter who Mira chooses, they will have each other in the long run.

Oh my god!!! I freaking love this chick. She’s blown me away again with Awakening, the second novel in the Destined series.
Mira is finally awake after spending seven weeks in a coma. The reality that she dreamt is not actually real, and Danny’s alive, and Skylar is just her best friend.
Mira fights her feelings towards Skylar after this huge revelation, trying to feel out her relationship with Danny. She feels obligated to stay in this relationship with him, not wanting to hurt him after spending so long with him.
While continuing to fight what her heart wants, Mira discovers what she really wants. Does she want Danny, her boyfriend and now fiancé, or Skylar, her best friend?
Five stars, once again, for Ashley Suzanne and Awakening. I loved it. The grammar was way better than the first novel (great improvement!), and I absolutely loved the story line. The characters are amazing, too, which adds a whole bunch to this story.
I love Skylar and Mira. I absolutely do. Team Skylar! I shall stake claim to him. Their relationship is filled with such love, such friendship. I love the way they are together. I could see them as being my friends. I LOVE that, when the characters are REAL. Kylee, Mira’s best friend, also adds heaps of love and humor to this story. I love Kylee. I want her in my life! WHY CAN’T SHE BE REAL?!
The differing points of view is also something I really enjoyed. I love getting to be inside the minds of Mira, Skylar, and Danny. I often don’t like having so many different points of view, but Ashley really made this work. Great job!
The flow of the story is also amazing! Every event flows together nicely, there were no gaps in the story and I was never confused. She covered all the bases.
Man, Ashley Suzanne. You’re killing me, Smalls. You have written such an amazing story, and it just blew my mind. HURRY UP AND FINISH FAÇADE. #RealTalk

After reading Mirage and being left with that huge cliffhanger ending I couldn’t even begin to guess what Ashley Suzanne had in store for us with Awakening. Once again she doesn’t disappoint Awakening is a fantastic book that will take you on another emotional roller coaster. I went from laughing to crying and every other emotion in between. It is an amazing book about love, friendships and following your heart.
Awakening starts exactly where Mirage left off with the big question of who is Mira going to choose? Will it be Danny or Skylar? Who is the one that truly holds her heart? Ashley Suzanne had me guessing who it was going to be up to the very end of the book. Mira goes through a lot trying to figure out what her true feelings for each one is and who is the right choice for her. She doesn’t want to hurt anybody but it’s going to happen. Danny is her first love, her future husband and who she wanted to spend her life with. Skylar is her best friend the one who was there for her in her dreams, she feels something with him that she never felt with Danny. How do you decide who you want to be with, which feelings are the right ones? Mira doesn’t want to lose any friendships and she doesn’t want to be the one to come between Danny and Skylar’s friendship. With trying to figure out what is real and what is a dream Mira still has her best friend Kylee that she can go to. Kylee is there for her when she needs her the most.
Ashley Suzanne is an incredible author who takes her readers on a journey that will keep you thinking about what you read for days. This book is awesome! I recommend that you read Mirage and Inception before you read Awakening. If you have not I suggest you stop reading this review as it might contain spoilers. Why ruin an amazing love story by reading it half way thru. Suzanne you have added another fictional boyfriend to my list. I have been on a “Sky” high for the past few days, just the thought of him has me swooning.
Awakening starts off right where Mirage left off. Mira has woken up from her coma and has to face reality and deal with the fact that Danny is alive and Skylar is not hers.
Skylar has been in love with Mira since the first day he saw her. Now Mira wakes up and finally says the words that he has been desperately waiting to hear. Out of loyalty to his best friend, Skylar steps away and gives Mira time to heal and sort out her feelings. He has more to lose, the love of his life, his best friend, or possibly both.
Mira tries to make her relationship with Danny work out, but everything is different. She has changed and has mourned the loss of Danny and given her heart away. Eventually Danny realizes that he has also changed. When she was in a coma he was preparing himself for the worst and in his own way he had also mourned her and found solace in someone else.
Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. I finished it within a few hours. This book broke my heart more times than I can count, more for Skylar than anyone else. I am looking forward to reading the next installment in the Destined series, Kylee’s story.

So in this book its all about Mira recovering from the shock of a lifetime. Everything she new is kind of same just with different circumstances and a WHOLE different outcome.
I did feel for Danny, that he has lost the love of his life, but that didn't mean he could go "Looking" else where whilst she was in the god-damn coma! Seriously and you say you love this woman! And if he LOVED her sooooo much then he would of put up a bigger fight for her! Don't get me wrong sonny jim, I am utterly over the fricking moon the Mira gets her HEA but seriously, grow a pair and get your new woman :) *Hint Hint*
I loved that Ashley factored in, the heavenly, devilishly handsome Walker brothers from Hilary Storms In A Heartbeat & Heaven Sent books :) Yum Yum, deffo eye candy :)
I want to see Kylee get her HEA, hmmmm maybe this will be given to us if we ask nicely in "Facade"
I do know one thing, I can't wait for THAT to be released!

Mira is awake but realizing that everything was just a dream , Danny has no clue what Mira is feeling he just assumes she is out of it because of the accident , and Skylar has admitted his feelings and should be thrilled but yet he is struggling so much between hurting his friends. It really is a heartwrenching situation. Of course Danny being the loving fiancé wants to care for Mira which results in the 3 of them being in the same house. This does not end well. Mira tells Danny about her dreams and her feelings and though he does not understand he gives her space.
We are then taken on this huge rollercoaster of emotion. There is back and forth with Mira and Danny , Skylar pushing and pulling Mira and also Danny's new friend that really throws a wrench in the situation.
Great sex in this book !! The whole making the dreams a reality...yum !!
The stand-off during the housewarming party...wow totally hot !!

This book is absolutely freakin great! It picks up where Mirage left off with Mira in the hospital coming out of a two month coma and trying to figure out the difference from her dreams and reality. On one hand she has her fiancee, Danny, who she loves but then there's his best friend (as well as hers), Skylar, who she is in love with. Mira has to follow her heart knowing that in the process she will either lose one love or possibly both. Both men love her & she loves them - that's not even a question here. What it comes down to is where does Mira feel her heart belongs.
Ashley kept me on the edge of my seat until the end wondering who would Mira pick and would she stay with him and what happens to the one whose heart she broke. All in all, the book ended the way it should have. To say the beginning of the last chapter had me in a tailspin is putting it mildly as I thought I was reliving the end of Mirage all over again but it eventually ended worked out and gave me the ending I wanted.
This book, as well as Mirage, will put you on an emotional rollercoaster but this story was sooooo worth it. I'm getting ready to read Kylee's story and expect I won't be disappointed. I look forward to more stories like this from Ashley.
Ashley kept me on the edge of my seat until the end wondering who would Mira pick and would she stay with him and what happens to the one whose heart she broke. All in all, the book ended the way it should have. To say the beginning of the last chapter had me in a tailspin is putting it mildly as I thought I was reliving the end of Mirage all over again but it eventually ended worked out and gave me the ending I wanted.
