What can I say, Ashley you did it again!!!!! This story is very intriguing and captivating just like the first book, Mirage. Awakening starts off right where Mirage ended. Mira is confused and believes she is in love with Skylar and wants to be with him. But how can she betray Danny? She doesn't want to hurt him. Skylar is torn between his love for Mira and his loyalty to Danny. How can you steal your best friend's girl? That is just wrong! Can he give up the love of his life to ensure Danny's happiness???

The book was a roller coaster ride of emotions and downright heartache! There were times when I was so pissed off at Mira, I wanted to throw my iPad. I kept thinking to myself, this cannot be happening!! But after my tantrum ended and I looked at the bigger picture, I realized you can't just move on with someone without fully understanding the whole story. You need to dig deep down inside of yourself and be honest with yourself. You have to let go of your fears and insecurities and just hope that your choice is the right one.

I really enjoyed this book because Ashley shows us the connection between 3 friends, actually more like three soul-mates. The love between Danny, Skylar, and Mira is so authentic and real, it's hard not to miss that they all really do care about one another. Yes, this story is about the love of a man and a woman, but it's more than that. It's the love between all three of them and all three have to hang on to hope. Hope that one day, no matter who Mira chooses, they will have each other in the long run.

I am so honored to have read this series and I am so proud of Ashley Suzanne. Her writing is so fresh and honest. She literally paints pictures of the story and I felt like I was watching a movie. I laughed, I cried, I rejoiced, and I am in awe! Ashley Suzanne wrote a great piece of literature and this series has truly become one of my favorites. She is an amazing author and I cannot wait to read the next story of the series, Facade!!
