Months had passed since meeting Dimitri. He became my whole world, and I never wanted to go a day without him by my side. He chased away my personal demons and became my rock to lean on when things got too hard to deal with.
Everything changed when a rare snowstorm hit New Orleans.
After getting a concerning call from my mother, Dimitri drove me through the storm to go to the hospital where my father was. I only had time to scream Dimitri’s name before cars slammed into our vehicle.
When I woke up, I found myself in a hospital room and with no memories of Dimitri. Despite all of that, he wouldn’t give up on me until I fell in love with him for a second time.
But things couldn’t be normal. People were after Dimitri, and I was stuck in the middle of it. To make matters worse, I thought I loved him until I learned more about his past.
Could I overcome my fear of demons and fall in love with Dimitri again? Could I look past his transgressions? Would I ever get my memories back?
*This is the second and final book for Emma and Dimitri's story. This is a dark paranormal romance with horror themes. Please read the author's note at the beginning of the book so you know what you're getting into. You can also go to the author's website for more information. Your mental health matters.*
Holy -or should I say “unholy” cow!!! Just like the first this book just sucked me right in. I love how this series is plot heavy but there’s a ton of great spicy scenes. Dimitri and Emma are still just everything!! Seeing a whole new side to Dimitri and Demon in this book and I have to say I’m loving it. They both kinda went all marshmallow on us but it’s adorable and I LOVE the feel of this book and how I can actually feel the love they have for Emma. Always making himself available for Emma in her times of need and when the story starts to get a little sticky Dimitri never hesitates for a second to remind Emma of her worth and value in his life. I had lots of different emotion in this book but it’s all good emotion. Dimitri would be a fantastic book boyfriend (as would Demon) and on that note I only have one question….. where can I get my own Demon boyfriend? lol
This book is perfectly paced and the characters are interesting and fun. I love that it shows growth for all characters involved and I hope we get to see a little more of them in the future…. Novella maybe? Demon/Emma spinoff?? I’d probably cry lol this book is a must read but make sure you read book one, We All Have A Hell, first. This book is a continuation of Dimitri and Emma’s story so reading it first is a must but it’s just as good as this one. Bravo Willow!! The sequel is never as good as the first but you have outdone yourself!
I completed We All Have A Heaven by Willow McQuerry on 12/31/23, the sequel to We All Have A Hell.
This sequel follows up so well and brings an element of suspense when a new demon hunter is introduced (Mia). I was not a fan and wished Daimon had killed her...but that will lead us to Willow’s third book of this series coming next December. I am looking forward to We All Have A Purgatory in but I still stand by the fact that I wish Mia had died 😒
If you weren’t falling for Dimitri/Demon in the first book...you’ll find it nearly impossible not to in book two. I loved that this one was much more romance, but I can’t really decide if I love book one more than book two - they’re great!!
Emma is such a beautiful FMC, and I loved how relatable she was. Dimitri (the MMC/DMC [demon main character]) was all the right things you’d want in a morally grey book boyfriend *swoons*
Was this a necessary sequel? I don’t think so. Was it worth the read? if you enjoyed the first one, I’d say yes. Here we get a MUCH softer side of Dimitri. He was downright unlikable in the first book. I love enemies to lovers, bully romance, dark romance etc but I’ve never understood the appeal of an H who acts like a raging asshole.
I welcomed seeing Dimitri be a big marshmallow for Emma. He does act like a dick again briefly. She loses her memory and he reasons if she fell for his assholery the first time it should work a second time.
I was thinking of rating this one higher but the villain story here lost me. I know stories need something like this in them but I didn’t care for the route the author chose. She had him get drugged at one point and then this woman pops up later claiming they fucked and she’s pregnant. It was obnoxious and unnecessary OW drama. She’s lying, of course, she has an ulterior motive and it’s obvious. So there’s no cheating but there is the perception of possible cheating that turned out to be false. It just left a bad taste in my mouth and how tf did she supposedly drug a demon born in 1209. Like he would be that easily drugged by a stranger.

Oh. My. Gosh. When I tell you that I could not put this book down, that is an understatement. The way that you can feel the tension radiating from Emma and Dimitri whenever they have an interaction 😳 let’s just say the chemistry could set a room on fire…
From the first book into the second, you can definitely see the change in Dimitri as he shifts from completely cruel and cold hearted to the GIANT marshmallow he is in the second. The love he has for Emma in this book just radiates through the pages into your mind as well as the love Demon has for her. I’m glad I got to see more of a soft side from him too as the book progresses on, and while the plot is a LOT of smut, you can tell both Dimitri and Demon care for her and have proved over and over that they see her as more than just a hole to fill. They both show her deep love as well as kindness and compassion while helping her work through her schizophrenic episodes and never judging her but rather accepting her as she does for him.
This book is written so well and had so many ups and downs, some parts made me want to cry and some made me want to scream so I would definitely recommend this book!! DEFINITELY PAY ATTENTION TO THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!! This is also a continuation of Dimitri and Emma’s story from “ We all have a Hell” so if you have not read that one, read that one first otherwise you will probably be confused lol.
"We all have a hell, sunshine. But we all have a heaven, too, and you're it."
Oh my... This was way more emotional than We all Have a Hell. After a terrible car accident that leaves Emma mangled and without her memories of Dimitri or what Dimitri was, Dimitri decides instead of telling Emma anything about them he is going to make Emma fall in love with him again. And what better way than to be the same grumpy a-hole that he was in the beginning. I mean she fell for him once so why wouldn't she do it again?
There were a lot of ups and downs with this book. I went back and forth on wanting Emma to get her memories back but also wanting to see her fall for Dimitri again. And I love that Demon was around to play a little more in this book. You get to see a semi softer side to Demon in this one and he's actually charming (in his own way). And Emma's gift to Demon (oh my heart).
There are quite a few obstacles aside from Emma's memory loss that make Dimitri's plan challenging. And all I can say for that, without spoilers, is DIMITRI WOULD NEVER!!! Demon also makes some things a bit more challenging because he just wants his mate and there are definitely struggles between Demon and Dimitri for control.
I highly recommend to all the dark and spicy monster readers. But with this book comes a page long of CW. Your mental health matters so please check the warnings before diving in.
We all have a Heaven is the sequel to We all have a Hell and is not a standalone.
Willow once again has written an amazing story about Emma and Dimitri. It picks up right where book 1 left off, so I definitely recommend reading that one first. Dimitri was so sweet and still the OTT/Possessive demon I loved, but WAHAH definitely showed how far his love for Emma goes. They both are in my top 10 of book bf/gf 💜 I am ecstatic for Mia's story!!
They get into a car accident and Emma has amnesia from a head injury. She doesn't remember anything about Dimitri, including working for him or dating him.
Dimitri is worried about telling her about being a demon all over again. So he tries to win her over by acting the same way he did when they first met -- like an asshole. The way he sees it, she fell for him the first time when he was a jerk to her, so maybe it can happen again.
I really dislike DNF-ing books. I'm typically pretty adamant about finishing. But every so often a book is dragging down my book groove so much that I know if I don't give up on it I will end up in a reading rut.
This is one of those times.
I was looking forward to this book, but also unsure of what else could be told about Emma and Dimitri. The first book wrapped up their story pretty nicely.
But I also had some mixed feelings about the first book. It started off quite dark and ended up with Dimitri softening for Emma to a degree that I found hard to believe considering how bad he was in the beginning.
In this one we continue with his overly-excessive softness towards her. Before losing her memories he is basically a doormat for whatever she wants. He has no spine when it comes to her anymore and will do whatever she says. It just made him seem kind of...lame. If I'm reading about a dark antihero (or villain), I want him to STAY dark. Not become domesticated.
There's not much of a plot in the beginning. Just them puttering around and living life. Not much content for a book.
And then we have the car accident. Which honestly kind of pissed me off and made no sense. Emma was absolutely stupid insisting on going out in the blizzard. I don't care how good her reasons seemed to her, it's not worth it in that weather. Also I didn't understand how she was ejected from the car if she was wearing her seatbelt, which we are clearly told she was.
After the car accident she's in a coma for awhile and then she wakes up with amnesia. Specifically she doesn't remember the last few months of her time with Dimitri.
Let me tell you...I absolutely DESPISE amnesia plot lines. I have NEVER ONCE enjoyed one. It makes everything feel repetitive and the character with amnesia just comes across as an idiot -- I know they're not, but it feels that way.
And Emma (in general) is so much more annoying than I remembered her being in the first book. She has schizophrenia. Which, I understand would be the cause of some of the issues she faces. But I've read other stories about people with schizophrenia, and they didn't come across as annoying and ditzy and stupid. She does. Her personality is skittish and dumb and she just grates me.
I don't even sense the chemistry between her and Dimitri. It's been a few months since I read the first one, so I can't remember if that was a problem in the first book. But in this one I don't even feel an attraction between them at all.
Now, aside from all that I want to talk about atmosphere consistency in a series. I think it's important for books in a series to maintain a similar feel to them throughout. There's a vibe -- an atmosphere -- that is important to maintain.
Why is it important? Because we (as readers) typically liked the first book in the series because of how it made us feel. It's all about the feelings. Sometimes it feels good to cry. So if I have a series that I know is emotional, then I would read a book from that series to feel that way. Same goes with any other emotion/feeling -- angry, funny, light, sexy.
Now I say all of that because this series has a serious atmospheric identity problem. The first book starts off seriously dark. Dimitri is literally raping and killing indiscriminately, and being an all around psycho. If I continue reading the books after the way it starts, it's because I'm expecting them to be DARK and VIOLENT. That's the atmosphere I came to expect when I started the first book in this series.
But this series quickly went from dark to very light and fluffy. And now it's just basically a plain old contemporary romance. It's hardly even a paranormal romance at this point. So I am not getting what I first expected to get from this series. It's not dark anymore. It's boring.
Overall I'm just disappointed with this. It honestly seems like a totally unnecessary book. Maybe just an extended epilogue novella would've been good. But this had a lot of problems for me. And I don't plan to continue the series at this point.

This is a difficult review to write. I've read 3 books by Willow McQuerry, and I've had different reactions to each one, but one thing I do enjoy is watching the evolution of her writing from book to book. Willow writes with care. There's an empathic awareness to her words that makes you truly feel for the characters. My 3 stars aren't due to poor writing. More of my perspective of how the romance unfolded.
🤗 It's a heavily anticipated book. Book 1 is top-tier dark monster horror romance, but I feared the writing was on the wall when Willow mentioned not really wanting to write a Book 2. This was for the fans. I already pondered how the story would "stretch." Home girl said don't expect plot this is smut and I was like ahhh...ok...I can dig that. 👌🏾
🫣 in the beginning, we get a great domesticated scene of our crazy kids, and I was impressed to see their love evolve. Cool beans, I'm down for this book to be an extended epilogue with lots of smutty action. Ut ohhh....here comes the amnesia plot.
😬 out of all the TWs, I was most intrigued to see how this played out. Well...um...basically, it became an excuse to retread Book 1 but without the horror demonness and the wall to wall bonkers demon acid smexytimes.
🫣 obvious villain I didn't really need. Its story conflict is too similar to Book 1. I just wanted it to be revealed sooner so I could get the epilogue I wanted 😄.
All in all, I was a little disappointed. The story pace was slower. Some repeated plot points that could have been tweaked. Not enough smut, especially considering that Author's Note. But these characters are strongly drawn, and the world building is great.
We all have a heaven was an absolutely wonderful follow up to we all have a hell by Willow McQuerry.
We continue with the accurate and well written schizophrenia representation by a schizophrenic author. We also have some representation for memory loss after an accident. Representation for a body positive FMC is always something that I like in my novels. Willow makes great use of some classic tropes like touch her and die and the grumpy sunshine trope.
The second novel picks up pretty much where the first novel leads off. I really enjoy when novels are cohesive like that and there's not a giant time gap. We continue to follow Dimitri and Emma as their relationship continues to blossom from book one. Being that it's a workplace romance, they are taking things slowly at work, but our ravaging each other at home as they should. When Dimitri and Emma are in an unexpected car accident, Emma loses her memories of Dimitri and their relationship. This is especially traumatizing for Dimitri because he does remember everything and is desperate for Emma to remember him and their love for each other. Unfortunately, there are other forces at work trying to keep Emma's memories at bay and separate Emma and Dimitri permanently. Dimitri must help. Emma regain her memories before it is too late and their relationship comes to an end.
The storyline in this novel pulled me forward through the book. It was very well written, and I was never confused or bored. The storyline was intriguing and written in such a way that made me want to continue. I did read this book in one day, because I could not put it down. I love that we got to see more of Dimitri's inner demon because he is one of my favorite characters of this novel.
A heartfelt thank you to Willow for entrusting me with the opportunity to dive into the second installment of the "We All Have a…" series. As always, a crucial note to the wise: heed the trigger warnings, for your mental well-being is of utmost importance. I must refrain from delving into spoilers, but trust me, you don't want to miss the rollercoaster within these pages. It's advisable to read "We All Have a Hell" before venturing into this sequel.
"We All Have a Heaven" resumes the tale of Emma and Dimitri (and Demon), attempting to live a semblance of a normal suburban life. However, a sudden event shatters Emma's memory of Dimitri, plunging the narrative into a labyrinth of unexpected twists.
The growth witnessed in Dimitri and Demon is heartwarming, though there were moments I found myself wanting to shake Dimitri for his seemingly absent logical reasoning. Emma's evolution is equally commendable, adding a touch of bite to her sunshine demeanor.
The narrative unfolds seamlessly, weaving through the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, a fitting setting for the interplay between demons and hunters. The anticipation for what comes next is palpable, and the well-crafted plot kept me on the edge of my seat. The spice, as expected, is exquisite, leaving me pondering the question of whether a Demon in one's life might be a tempting proposition.
To read or not to read "We All Have a Heaven" is your choice, dear reader. I am not here to play the role of a literary gatekeeper, but I can confidently say that this book, in the most delicious way, disrupted my sleep schedule.
We All Have A Heaven is the second book in the We All Have A... Series by Willow McQuerry. Though you could get away with reading this as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading the first book in the series before reading this one. You will have a better understanding about what is going on in We All Have A Heaven, and you will save yourself from spoilers of the first book.
I could not devour this ultimate Second Chance, Dark Paranormal Romance fast enough. I spent a lot of time comparing this story to the story of the first book, more than once catching the Hell/Heaven irony. This time around our beloved demon Demetri has already become a soft heart for his mate, and this story line embraces that. I love the concept of true love will remember that this book embraces. As with the first book in this series, the plot is sometimes hard to follow along with. "Neuro-spicy" representation, Plus-size female main character, super hot demon male main character are still very much present in this book, and written even better than the first time. This is more a sweet love story than the first book, though we do still get a decent amount of spicy scenes. Over all this is a continuation of a very entertaining and dark story with several twists and turns, and an exciting cliffhanger at the end.
I highly recommend this to any reader who thinks "The darker the better", and who has read the first book in the series.
“We All Have A Hell” sets up the relationship between our FMC Emma and our MMC Dimitri and his Demon. “We All Have A Heaven” is the months following the initial start of their relationship. “We All Have a Hell” shows us Dimitri trying to resist Emma while “We All have a Heaven” shows us Dimitri doing everything in his power to make Emma fall in love with him and his Demon again after she loses her memories. Both books were fantastic. Dark, Emotional, and spicy; these two books were fantastic.
One thing I absolutely LOVE about “We All Have A Hell” and now “We All Have A h heaven” is the mental health representation! Not to mention the body positivity! Y’all, I LOVE Emma! She may have schizophrenia but she sure doesn’t let that deter her from living her life and I love that for her. She’s also confident in herself, even when society snubs their nose at her for her schizophrenia.
Dimitri is cold and calculating as I’m sure any demon would be. He despises humans until he meets Emma. She cracks and breaks through the stone wall around his heart. She is the light to his darkness; the sunshine to his dark cloud. 🥹 This fits up there with (extremely) grumpy x sunshine which is always my favorite. I really enjoyed both of these books so much. I picked them up for the mental health rep and the spice factor and I’m walking (metaphorically) away a super Willow fan. 🥹🖤
This was a cute and softer continuation of We All Have A Hell that I binged in one day. We follow Emma and Dimitris story further as they experience a car crash and Emma loses her memories of Dimitri and Demon.
Dimitri makes her fall in love all over again, and we see a sweeter and softer side of him and Demon. It was cute and touching, yet part of me wanted him to just come out and tell her everything and get it over with. While Emma grapples with telling him about her mental health, wondering if she’s experiencing memories or fantasies. Dimitri is watching over her and protecting her and hoping she remembers.
I wish we had seen a little more of Demon in this but I did enjoy his commentary in the background. And who knew that Dimitri was just a big softie at heart and would do anything for his love.
Willow knocked this one out of the park!!! If you're looking for a book with a broody, alpha hole Demon whose main redeeming quality is his undying love and devotion for his human mate who has schizophrenia, then this duet is for you.
Dimitri is a demon who despises humans for many reasons, mainly because they were responsible for torturing and leaving his marked body on display after demon hunters were finally able to truck and trap the demon warlord.
Emma is the complete opposite of Dimitri. She's sunshine and carefree to his dark and could care less attitude. He's her boss and she's his personal assistant. But during an unusual heavy snowstorm in NOLA, tragedy strikes and hard choices are made.
This story has so much spice, but it works with the plot and without the constant need and desire I think it would've fallen flat. There's trauma, secrets, betrayal, and twists and turns that made this book easy go read and devoured it in a few hours.
The trigger and content warnings should definitely be read because not only does the book's FMC suffer from a mental health disorder, explicit spice, but also a few others that could be upsetting to another reader.
I thought the first book was good, but Willow proved me wrong with this second one. She took everything from We All Have a Hell and made it 100 times better.
I couldn’t wait to get back into Emma and Dimitri’s world, so I dived right into this. It has heartbreaking events but Willow’s talents shine by making Dimitri/Daemon go from being cold to being this golden retriever with the willingness to do any and everything for his mate. I adored seeing this new side to him. Emma is still as kind hearted but with a little more umpf - she is brave and so strong while dealing with the loss of memories and still dealing with her schizophrenia.
Now the twists that were added in, with the intro of a new character who turns out to be a slimy sneaky snake in the grass had me on the edge of my seat.
This perfection of a follow up was full of spice - I mean melt your panties and leave you panting spice. But Willow didn’t let it overtake the story, this Queen just seamlessly wove it in making it truly a part of it. I loved this one so much and was sad to have to say goodbye to this couple but I am excited to see what this talented author is cooking up for Mia.
This was the ending I didn’t know I needed and I’m so glad Emma and Dimitri.. and Daimon got the happy ending they deserved. This was so highly anticipated after the first book and it definitely didn’t disappoint! I fell right back into the arms of Dimitri from the first page and it felt like coming home.🥹
I just love the relationship between Emma and Dimitri, it’s so real and pure and fills me with all the feels. This book is packed with steamy scenes, excitement and twists and turns.
This man really said “this is my woman, and I’m gonna show you” I will never look at board meeting rooms and staplers the same again! Yes, I said staplers.😂👀
When I say I couldn't put this book down, I literally couldn't put it down! Finished it the same day I got it.
"What's so special about you? You're the air we need to breathe. You're the blood pumping through our veins. You're the sun on our darkest days, chasing away the shadows that haunt us. We crave your every smile, the brush of your fingers on our skin, and every whimper you make while we fuck your pussy and ass. We've been through hell and back. When we laid our eyes on you, you became our heaven. Everything about you brings out the best in us."
When Emma loses her memory in a car accident, Dimitri is determined to help her remember him (and his demon) no matter what. The spice was absolutely fantastic! The love Dimitri and demon have for Emma is unmatched and full of devotion. These characters will forever live in my mind and heart!
Thank you to the author for allowing me to ARC read this amazing story!
You know that side of Goth that's all fluffy stuffed and sift pastels You know, the one that's all cute skirts, knee-high socks, and bows?
That's this book.
There definitely are still hard and sharp edges. There is still that darkness there, but the fluff and cute mushy aspects are all you see until you get pricked by the spikes.
This is one of the most romantically dark books I have read. Dimitri and Demon just really know how to care for their mate. They accept Emmababy and care for her without patronizing her and without coddling her. They empower her and ensure she is aware of how amazing she is.
It's definitely still dark, it is SPICY, and it is just what my little sad heart needed.
*this arc was sent in exchange for an honest review*
“What’s so special about you? You’re the air we need to breathe. You’re the blood pumping through our veins. You’re the sun on our darkest days, chasing away the shadows that haunt us… we’ve been through hell and back. When we laid our eyes on you, you became our heaven”
I BINGED this book in hours. I loved Dimitri and Emma’s story in book 1 and this book hit all of the feels. Also.. Daimon?? I love his name and povs every time they came up.
This was a fantastic read and I can’t wait for the next book next year! Thank you willow for giving me this opportunity!

I think Dimitri Volkov is my favorite fictional man! He is truly obsessed and unhinged. The absolute and unconditional level of love that he has for Emma is perfection. I loved that we were able to have a journey where we watched Emma fall all over again for Dimitri and his demon (and I secretly love the demon and Emma interactions the best). I will never ever get tired of reading about them.
Also, the level of spice was chefs kiss!! How can a man be so deliciously depraved yet wholesome at the same time?? This book is a 10 out of 5 for me - I recommend it with my whole chest!
I loved the characters so much even more so in the second book. You get to know them even more. The scenes are so detailed and exciting and intense and it's hard to put the book down. I loved how he treats her and talks to her and helps her through her mental illness we all need a Dimitri in our lives holding us up through our struggles. The mental heath representation was spot on like no other book I've ever read. The story is so memorable and completely unforgettable.
I thought the first book was great, I had no idea what I was getting into with book 2. Its stated from the beginning that book 2 was basically written because of demand and not to expect much plot. I was perfectly okay with that. I still loved reading the character development and seeing how Emma and Dimitri's love evolved. Yes, there are some over used plots but at the end of the day everything was still written amazingly. And I have to say I think Dimitri (and Demon) takes touch her and die to a whole new level, he is truly unhinged and absolutely obsessed.
This was the first paranormal series that I have read in a while. It did not disappoint. Dimetri is a demon that hates humans. Emma is a human that he falls in love with quickly after she starts working for him and his assistant. He is ruthless and she is like sunshine. They are complete opposites. After falling in love, there's an accident and she can't remember anything from after she started working for him. He works to make her fall in love with him all over again. He's a demon cinnamon roll. This story sucked me in and I couldn't read it fast enough. Definitely worth the time it took to complete the book.
I received an advanced reader copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We asked for more of Emma and Dimitri, and we got it!!! This was so good! The tension and drama in this one was intense. I couldn’t put it down because I was truly sucked in to the story. Now, I won’t give away any spoilers, but oof my heart was pounding there for awhile. The spice was absolutely delicious. Between, Dimitri, Demon, and Emma, their primal needs and lust is immaculate. Amazing job Willow!!!
I absolutely devoured this book! This book was so much more emotional for me. I loved seeing how Dimitri and Demon both have softened towards Emily after the crash. The spice was chef's kiss, and I can’t wait til the next book! ⚠️ Topics like Schizophrenia are in this book, among other mental health issues. Be sure to check the author's trigger warnings before diving in! Your mental health matters!⚠️
My Review 5/5 ⭐️ and 5/5 🌶️ I absolutely loved this book! I was so excited to get more of Dimitri and Emma! It starts of happy, when an accident occurs. Trying to navigate what has happened from the accident and making Emma fall in love with Dimitri again. Finding out who to trust and who is responsible for what is going on! My emotions were just all over, needing to know what happened next, so safe to say I couldnt put the book down! Definitely recommend reading!
Love it!!! I can’t get over the series. I absolutely loved it. I need more. I need more where she’s pregnant. I need to see where they go as a couple. I can’t wait for Mia‘s book. I’m kinda worry about it because of what she did too the main characters in this book But I’ll see where it goes. You could tell it’s real love when they fall in. Love with you twice.
I loved absolutely loved reading this!!! I hated that their story ended though but I'm happy with it!!!!! Lots of spice!!! I was always on the edge of my seat. Dimitri and Emma, love love their story! It was definitely an emotional rollercoaster but I loved every second of it! This book deserves more then 5 stars my opinion!

Willow!!!!! This book wrecked me!!!!! Dimitri is obsessed with Emma and I’m obsessed with it!!! I love how he showed his true feelings for her all over again and her gave up their love!! The way he staked claim at the Christmas party had me FERALLL!! I just can’t love this series enough!! Can’t wait for book 3 to drop to see how the story continues!
