First I saw the cover ❤️ then the words dark stalker stood out, 💣 I’d seen this pop up on my feed a time or two on here and thought I’d give it a shot, and I’m so glad I took that plunge and purchased this..

Once started it took me down a path I wasn’t expecting, blood shed straight away, and from that point onwards I couldn’t put it down.

She was his weakness, obsessed to the point he’d even kill for her.

He knew all her secrets
All her dark desires
And he used them all against her to claim her.

She called him Saint, he was anything but..

Touch her and die (literally)
First it was a finger presented as a present
Next it was a tongue

[dnf @ 55%]

this loser killed two men who tried to assault her only for him to end up being the one to rape her 😂

“I’m not ready. I’m not—"
“You are.” He positions the head of his cock at my ass, and the thought alone makes me want to black out so I don’t have to feel this. “And you’re going to reward me for all I’ve done.”

Literally on my hands and knees for Saint right now.

Will scream from the roof tops “BUT DADDY I LOVE HIM”

The twists and turns of the story had me questioning everyone and anyone. I was pretty proud of myself for guessing things correctly as I read (that never happens 🤣)

Violet didn’t know what she needed until she met Saint, her savior. THE SPICE WAS SSSPPPICCCINNNGGG, you should see all my highlights. Im a whole ass slut for this man.

I never wanted this to end, it was so freaking good.

”He tells me to call him Saint because he saved me…that I should be thankful he spared me a worse fate. I’m tempted to fight him or bargain. But when Saint tells me to run, a twisted part of me wonders if he’ll chase.”

Wow, the dark romance girlies are going to EAT THIS UP!! I obviously knew this was going to be dark based off the synopsis/content warnings, but this is definitely one of the darkest romances I’ve read in a while! This was the perfect book I needed to shake up my reading slump. Violet is a criminal psychology major in a semi-long term relationship with her toxic boyfriend, Liam. Saint is a mysterious masked psychopath that Violet and Liam pick up after finding him hitchhiking on their way to a Valentine's Massacre party. The encounter ultimately leaves Liam dead and Violet the target of Saint’s obsession.

Fun may not be the best word for it, but I seriously had so much fun with this! The twisted academia setting was incredibly atmospheric and was such an interesting background to Saint and Violet's twisted games. Saint is a morally irredeemable psychopath, but you can’t help but root for him at times. Violet goes through so much growth over the course of the book as she gets in touch with the darker side of herself that she's kept buried over the years. I wish we could have gotten a little more from the side characters, but I'm excited to see that some of them are already getting their own books! I'm excited to see where this series goes.

This is a very dark romance, so be sure to do your own CW research before diving in. Author includes a detailed list of content warnings on her website, but I included some notable ones that stuck out to me below:

dubcon, cnc, sexual assault, stalking, domestic violence, suicide, torture, murder, abduction, primal play, fear kink, knife play, blood play, pregnant woman completing suicide, corpse mutilation, and a whole lot more

This book gripped me from the very first page and refused to let go, I’m absolutely obsessed. The tension is relentless, fueled by Violet's complex relationship and the chilling arrival of Saint, whose dangerous fixation on her kept me on edge. With a thrilling blend of obsession, secret societies, and undeniable chemistry, each twist pulled me in deeper. Saint’s intensity and unapologetic obsession were utterly captivating, making it impossible to put this book down. If you're a fan of dark romance, this is a must read!

STOP WHAT YOURE DOING AND READ THIS RIGHT NOW.

absolute stalker perfection. Saint was EVERYTHING you could’ve wanted and so much more. I loved Violet as an FMC. She was headstrong and I loved her being a fear slut 🫠 the primal and fear play in this was INCREDIBLE. The dark academia and secret society vibe was everything. I loved the story and the twists and turns. Ahhhh holy fuck this was amazing.

Saint was a wannabe obsessed stalker.
Violet was a doormat and desperate virgin.

How come authors are not tired of writing the same virgin x manwhore trope?

I felt it was a rip off of Jeremy and Cecily!
Saint was no where near our og highschool stalker Jeremy.

Violet and Cecily were kind of similar, weak and no personality whatsoever.

‼️no cheating, no ow drama‼️

Oh my gosh what an amazing dark college romance read! This book had me hooked on the suspense from the first page as we meet Violet and her current boyfriend. And then we meet Saint- who is totally obsessed with Violet and completely unapologetic for it. This book had so many twists and turns- we get some stalking, some secret society and of course plenty of steam between our two leads! This one had me questioning my moral compass of why I was rooting for Saint but I just couldn’t help it 🤣.

Make sure you read the trigger warnings and buckle up for a wild ride on the dark side!

Eva has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her MMCs are always so obsessed but this man… he was SO UNHINGED and I loved every single second of it. The plot twist completely blindsided me & now I can’t wait to immediately dive into book 2.

This book is definitely very dark so be sure to check TWs!!

Theres just something about a stalker romance that does it for me every time….I am who I am. A dark and spicy girly. I knew after my first Eva book she was gonna be an auto read author for me and now 3 books down that fate has been sealed.

Violet has always felt like she was missing something. In life, in her relationships, in intimacy. She doesn’t really know what only that no one has ever given her that spark she’s needed to full commit and connect. When a masked stranger unalives her boyfriend and chases her in the woods she realizes her life will never be the same…and it might be for the better.

Saint has had his eye on Violet for far longer than our heroine realizes. Once the subject of his obsession is finally within reach he’s never letting her go…whether she likes it or not. Saint’s way of going about things might be a little skewed but at the end of the day theres only one thing he cares about and that’s Violet.

Wow this was a wild ride. I loved the dark and depraved relationship between Violet and Saint. How once she let her true self come out to play the relationship between the two fully developed. While I figured out Saint’s true identity basically right away and the twist at the end I was pretty sure was coming I still LOVED this book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This one is being added to my list of the spiciest books I’ve ever read cause…..WHEWWWW THE SPICE WAS KICKIN 🌶️🥵
Cannot WAIT for Declan and Teal next 🤞🏻 crossing my fingers for that ARC to hit my kindle asap.

Rape, Rape and more Rape

Uhm, so this sucks.

He rapes her.

After claiming to save her.

But I guess the affluent white women, safe behind their white picket fences, built from the bones of the victims od westerns imperialism, don'r have enough conflicts in their life, they must pretend rape can be sexy.

Violet is not meant to be a person.

Of course she isn't.

People have neuroplastic tissue that responds to every type of rape.

But like I said, she's not real.

She's there for the Unseen and Unloved and utterly Unfucked to feel jealous of rape victims over.

He not only vaginally rapes and lacerates her, he anally rapes and lacerates her.

Green Pilled Patriarchial Parable of Toxicity.

For the Unfuckable to compete with Rape Victims over.

The way this toxic author celebrates saving the rapist, to rape another day.

Oh to have such a conflict-free life.

I imagine appropriating and grifting on others peoples trauma is rewarding, its the favourite art style of the affluent, "What I'd do if raped! Well, first off, was he a hot rapist? Was he a possessive rapist? These things are important, other people attacked me too and I need closure."

The way the affuent rush to save groomers and rapists, continuing the cycle of groomers and rapists.

Maybe the next rape tale will be the one thay satisfies you, you know, for rape victims.

This is literally the reason we Irish are dragging character references out of court, imagine giving your rapist a character reference as he fucking rapes you.

Hell yeah Miss Eva did it AGAIN. I knew I could trust this woman to write a thrilling and delicious dark stalker romance and I was NOT disappointed (am I ever though when it comes to her books?) Saint was depraved, demented, and oh so dark and dreamy and Violet was a fiery little thing that needed that depravity to become her true self. The plot had me not wanting to put it down with all its twists and turns and the screaming and giggling that came out of me when we found out who Saint truly was, was off the charts. Violet and Saint were SOOOOO so good and I can't wait to see what Eva has planned next for this world and the other characters.

I was honored to receive an ARC for Saint by Eva Simmons. I love a dark stalker romance, and she definitely delivered!!

Violet and her then-boyfriend Liam give a ride to a masked college student on their way to a Valentines massacre party. Tensions rise as Violet becomes uneasy with the turn of events. The story begins to unfold with unexpected twists and turns.

Violet is a criminal psychology major with a dark side, Saint is a brooding psychopath who will die for her.

If you are looking for a very dark stalker romance with college fraternity secret society vibes, this is the one.

🔪 Secret society

🔪 He kills for her

Thrilling ride

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: psycho hero, secret society
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Very dark and completely over the top tale that spins a twisted tale of secrets and retribution. The story took me a minute to get into, just be because of how over the top it was, but overall, I enjoyed it once I was able to get into it. Not sure if I'm going to continue the series, but I'll definitely be checking out the second story.

Wow, I wasn't sure what to expect when this ARC dropped into my Kindle, but as always, Eva never disappoints.

This was definitely the darkest romance I've read from Eva so far, but I was still gripped, and the book consumed me, and I couldn't put it down.

Saint and Violet fed off each other's dark fantasies, but Saint would die to protect Violet. The sex scenes in this book aren't for the faint-hearted, and we're definitely dark, but there was also a side to Saint that showed how much he cared about Violet.

It was a fabulous first book to the series, and I'm already looking forward to Declan and Teals' story.

I read book 2 first and loved it, so I thought I'd love this one too, but it wasn't nearly as good. It started out great and it was an interesting perspective to know Kole was Saint from the beginning, but after that, it just was not very good. For one thing, there was no real romance and I didn't see any real chemistry between the two once she learned Kole was Saint. Also, how are you going to tease a chase/hunt/fuck scene and then have it end with a forced blowjob? Laaaaaame! It felt like it was done specifically because the author didn't want them to have sex too early in the book, which I understand, but it made zero sense that after waiting for a year to have sex and obsessing with her, he just wanted a BJ after all that because "she wasn't ready". Also, the dialogue felt way too 'Edge Lord'. When Violet asks saint why her he says, "Because you're beautiful when you break". What? WTF does that even mean? I'm sure it's supposed to seem enigmatic and poetic, but practically, it just sounds dumb. Overall, I just found myself bored and not very interested, the sex scenes weren't my cup of tea in this but at least they were plentiful. The climax of the story was very underwhelming and there was barely a plot. I'm still trying to wrap my head around why this revered senator councilman sent one underclassmen to take on two experienced upperclassmen and a girl by himself. I'm glad I read the second one first because I really enjoyed it and if I'd read this one first, I would have just skipped the series altogether.

It’s no secret that I love Eva’s writing and I was so excited to see she was writing something darker! I saw the trigger list and was like, yeah let’s read that 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

Saint is a viiiibe! Think a Rina Kent x Shantel Tessier book baby. It starts off with a bang on a road at night as college student Violet and her boyfriend Liam are driving to a party and come upon a stranger. That dark, mysterious feeling permeates the story as we delve further into just who exactly Saint is 👀 and how he turned into a possessive, stalking, unaliving dude. I’m being intentionally vague because one of the coolest parts of the story is that we don’t actually know WHO Saint is behind the mask right away! The reveal was 🤌🏽 and I loved guessing.

Regardless of his real name 👁️, Saint was a perfect dark romance boyfriend. He’s a psychopath but that’s like a green flag, right??! Even though this is Eva’s darkest, she still brought her signature voice and beautiful way of putting words to paper. I see how Eva is setting up this series and I’m reallyyy intrigued by what is to come with these side characters’ stories.

READ FOR:
🔪 stalker romance
🖤 possessive, obsessed, unhinged MMC
🔪 primal play
🖤 unaliving and t0rture 🤭
🔪 “touch her and d!e”
🖤 who is Saint??

Thank you the author and @lunaliterary.management for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review! I am so stoked for the next book in this series.

I'm in love with a st@lker, no, seriously.... absolutely in love with Saint.

Eva was not playing around with this one, and this was one of my highly anticipated reads of the monyh. If you love dark romance with a masked, unhinged stalker MMC then you absolutely need to read this book.

There is much more to this read then a simple stalker vibes, granted I went into this read thinking just that. Chapter 2 already had my mind blown, and what started out as a simple car ride with Violet & her then boyfriend, Liam, leads to picking up a masked man who unal!ves Liam directly in front of Violet's eyes.

Saint our stalker has his motives for picking his target, Violet. Our FMC Violet gives off the vibe of innocence, but we quickly realize she isn't as innocent as we thought. Our psychopath haset his match.

The last 15% of this book drops so many jaw dropping bombs relating to Violet, her family, family rivals, and why Saint had the motive to unal!ve all the people he does

My Review:

Saint is pure perfection if you’re into stalker romances! 😍 From the very start, this book had me hooked like no other. Saint isn’t just morally grey—he’s pitch black, and honestly, I loved every second of it. 😈❤️
Violet starts off as this sweet, innocent character, but as the story goes on, she becomes even more intriguing as she embraces her own darkness. 💜 It’s such a wild ride watching her evolve!
The spice? On point. The stalking? Absolutely thrilling. Everything about this book was done just right. 🔥😱
I seriously wish I could experience reading it for the first time all over again. 😩📖
Just a heads up—there are trigger warnings, so be careful. And now, I’m super excited for Declan's book! 📚🎉

This author has very quickly become a 1-click author for me. Eva is a very descriptive writer without being too much and every scene plays like a movie in my head.
I've already been introduced to Violet and Saint and when I found out they were being introduced to the world, I couldn't have been more excited!
If you're already a fan of Eva's you know this is darker than what she has written previously. If you're new to her work and love a DARK romance, you are going to love Saint and Violet.
I feel like Violet is a kindred spirit. I can relate to what interests her, even if it's not normal to most.
Saint and Violet meet seemingly by chance, while her and her boyfriend are headed to a party. Little does she know that things are not what they seem!
Once he's got her right where he wants her, there is no going back for either one of them! I think my moral compass is well and truly broken, because where can I get a Saint in my life!
I love that Violet is studying criminal behaviour/psychology and that her mind is constantly trying to understand what makes a psychopath tick. It's interesting and I find myself becoming fascinated right along with her. What is it that makes someone that way? How is their brain wired? What are they missing?
In Violet's mind she can't comprehend the fact that she craves what Saint can give her.
Which brings me to the man in question. Saint is straight up red flag material, forget morally grey, he is the darkest shade of black you can get, and like all of you out there, I'm totally here for it.
I did pick out who Saint was not long before Violet did and once she did, she started seeing what was right in front of her. The temperature kicked up 100 degrees the minute she started antagonising Saint to get him to come out to play. Holy moly, you could cut the tension between them with a knife. I thought the scene in the woods was hot, but their first encounter together, knowing who he was, is on a whole other level!
Now Violet knows who Saint is, there is no turning back. She's at war with herself, knowing that what he has done is indeed wrong, but Saint awakens something within her and gives her what she needs. I found their dynamic extremely fascinating. Violet is intrigued by Saint, she craves to understand how his mind works and I just loved her dialogue trying to figure it out. Watching him switch from one persona to another, was written so incredibly well, I really felt like I could see it!
He was so matter-of-fact about everything he did, then Violet would say something that his brain couldn't quite comprehend. I loved 'watching' him trying to understand this as well. That twist had me! My jaw almost hit the floor when that final revelation hit and everything tied in together. That was incredibly well done!
I do not even know how to describe their spicy scenes. No word feels right for the explosiveness that comes off the page when they're together!
This whole book has left me in a state of, I don't know what! I don't know how to move on from this! One of, if not the best read, of 2024. Honestly, just wow!
Eva weaves a tale of suspense and intrigue that grips you like a vice, right to the very last page! There was one line Saint said toward the end

“I don’t know how to love you right,” He says, brushing his fingers along my jawline and tracing it the same way he traced my scars. “But I love you every way I know how. Because you are everything to me. I’d d!3 for you.”

Stick a fork in me because I'm done.

Saint managed to sum up his whole character development in that one sentence. I bow down to you Eva, this was brilliant!

Violet, my soul sister, is a strong character who doesn't shy away from the dark and depraved, instead she leans in and says "more please" she really held her own against Saint and I loved that she always caught herself justifying his actions.

Though I think Saint has well and truly carved a piece of himself into my soul, Bring on the next in the series!

HEA

This is a dark college romance story. Violet and her boyfriend, Liam, are on their way to a creepy party in Liam's car. Along the road, Liam picks up a masked stranger, who he actually knows-it's his friend. Violet is furious, thinking it's dangerous to pick up strangers because they could be serial killers, but her idiotic boyfriend doesn't listen and treats her like trash.

Suddenly, the car breaks down, and Liam gets out to check what's wrong. While he's outside, the masked man talks to Violet briefly, then steps out to have a conversation with Liam. Moments later, the masked man kills Liam right in front of Violet. What's almost comical is that instead of reacting like a normal person and running away, Violet calmly walks over to Liam's dead body and starts talking to the masked man.
He tells her to run because he wants to play, and we find out that he knows Liam. In fact, he claims that he saved Violet from something much worse that would've happened that night.

It turns out Violet and the masked man had been chatting anonymously in an online app, where she confessed her darkest desires to him. The two engage in primal kinks, with the masked man forcing her to perform oral sex and drugging her afterward to drop her off at home. Despite everything, he doesn't take her virginity in the woods, deciding to save that for another time.

Back at school, Violet runs into Declan and Kole, who ask about Liam's whereabouts. She lies and says she doesn't know. That night, she attends a party organized by Declan, Kole, and their group. She goes there to confirm if Liam is really dead, but Saint, the masked man, sends her a gift-it's Liam's finger. At the party, Violet talks to Liam's brother, who tells her that Liam went away because she dumped him, which isn't true-only Violet knows that Liam is dead.

Violet finds herself alone with Liam's brother when Kole and Nixon show up. Nixon douses her with alcohol and leads her to the bathroom, but they end up in a bedroom where Nixon tries to have sex with her. She refuses, but Saint appears behind her, telling her they're going to play a game. Saint orders Nixon to perform oral sex on her, but in Violet's mind, she imagines it's Saint, not Nixon, and she becomes aroused, despite herself. Just as she's about to orgasm, Saint grabs Nixon by the hair, pulling him away, and kills him because no one touches what belongs to him.

Saint then asks Violet if she enjoyed it. She admits that her body reacted, but she didn't want it-she moaned for Saint, not for Nixon. She tells Saint that she doesn't want to be shared, and Saint "reassures" her that he doesn't share what's his. He claims he was just granting a dying man his last meal before taking what belongs to him. He then gives Violet dismembered body parts of Nixon the next day, further playing with her mind.

Violet is desperate to know who Saint really is, and later in the story (around 32% of the book), she finally learns that Saint is Kole, one of her classmates. She attends a party organized by Declan, where she tempts Kole to know if he’s really Saint, leading to them having rough, primal sex. She loses her virginity to him in a brutal, not-at-all romantic way.

We also learn that Kole is part of Sigma Sin House, an elite group with strict rules and trials based on sins. Violet is actually part of a test Kole must pass to become a full member. Although Kole was already a member, each person must pass seven tests related to the sins. Kole had passed all but envy. When he first saw Violet, he wanted her badly, and Liam noticed. Liam then started dating Violet to torture Kole. Kole had to endure seeing Violet with Liam in order to pass the test. We find out that Liam only dated Violet to test Kole, and Violet was Kole's (Saint's) ultimate weakness. Sigma House forces its members to undergo these trials, where they bargain their freedom and sanity to join. Saint killed both Liam and Nixon because he couldn't stand anyone touching what was his. He even stayed away from Violet for a year, letting someone else (Liam) have her, in order to complete the trial and pass the test.

The way Saint/Kole's mind works is really uncommon. He's insanely possessive, but if he wants to punish his woman, he wouldn't hesitate to "share" her and then punish the person he shares her with—like he did with Liam and Nixon, both of whom he ended up killing. He also wouldn't think twice about letting people watch them have sex, as he did with Declan, as a form of punishment.
However, now that Liam and Nixon are dead, no one is allowed to touch her.

Saint killed Liam because Liam found Violet's conversation on the Dark Desires app, where she talked about her deepest, darkest desires. Liam wanted to act on them, film it, and truly hurt Violet. Saint was so enraged by the idea that Liam would harm her like that, he killed him in a fit of rage!

Kole/Saint’s first kiss was with Violet, although she wasn’t his first time sexually. Still, it was sweet to know that she was his first kiss!

We also learn that Liam had ulterior motives for getting close to Violet—he had a specific reason for wanting to hurt her. Liam’s former girlfriend, Trinity, was someone he used to share with his friends and film during those encounters. These videos were leaked due to a trial Liam was undergoing at Sigma House, even though Sigma House was supposed to keep such things secret. However, Ian Pierce, Declan’s father, who was running for senator, leaked the videos to tarnish Trinity’s reputation because her father was his political rival.

The leak devastated Trinity, and since she was pregnant at the time, she ended up taking her own life. Liam’s family wanted revenge for what happened to Trinity. Unfortunately, before they could act, Saint killed Liam, and now Liam’s brother, Braxton, seeks revenge. He kidnaps both Violet and Declan, and it’s revealed that the two are actually siblings. Braxton’s plan is to hurt Violet to get back at Ian Pierce.

Saint ultimately saves both Declan and Violet, and they kill Braxton. Since Braxton and Liam are considered traitors to Sigma House, nobody can seek revenge on Saint. In Sigma House, killing another member without a valid explanation results in severe punishment, but because Liam and Braxton betrayed the fraternity, Saint is safe—no one can touch him.

There’s a bonus epilogue on the authors website where Kole "asks" Violet to marry him and she said yes.

Overall, I loved the book, but I wish we had learned more about Kole’s stepfather and his mother. Their relationship is completely toxic—his mother is terrified of his stepfather, and she’s also afraid that Kole might hurt Violet.

5 psychotic stars!!

I just accidentally deleted my long ass review, so i'll be quick because i am really furious with myself now.

But I'll tell you this:

I loved it!

LOOOOOOVED IT!!!!

Violet and Saint are my new fave couple and it was all so dark, so unhinged and so fucked up, I couldn't unglue myslef from my kindle.

What to expect:

🖤 dark academia
🖤 unhinged masked hero
🖤 touch her and die
🖤 stalking
🖤 secret society
🖤 dub con/ non con
🖤 loved you from afar
🖤 psychopaths
🖤 virgin heroine
🖤 morally grey/black characters
🖤 fear/ chase kink

Also there a whole bunch of TWs for the faint-hearted:

-dubcon,
- cnc,
- sexual assault,
- stalking,
- domestic violence,
- suicide,
- torture,
- murder,
- abduction,
- primal play,
- fear kink,
- knife play,
- blood play,
- pregnant woman completing suicide,
- corpse mutilation, and a whole lot more

so my obvious reaction would be:

I admit, Eva Simmons is my new discovery and I just fell in love with her writing.
And be sure i will her entire backlist.

So without much further ado, if you are a fan of Rina Kent, love the tropes above, then this is a freaking MUST-READ!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I will sure as hell read the next book in the series, Eternal and I suggest you do the same!!!🖤🖤🖤

I love a good stalker romance, and this was definitely that. I liked the secret identity in the beginning but found it to be a little slow moving at times. But the underlying mystery kept me reading. The further I got into the book and the plot began to unfold I became more invested and interested in what was going to happen next.

Saint is a psycho. He is morally grey... with a taste for darker things. His obsession is Violet and he is determined to fulfill her every dark and depraved fantasy. He craves the darkness like her. They are a perfect match even if she doesn't know it yet... This book was dark and twisted and you can't help but love Saint.

*stalker
*he falls first
*morally grey
*touch her and d!e
