With a little more relationship and plot foundation this could have been pretty good. It felt a little rushed though.

Also, the author could do with a little more weapons research if she is gonna go into detail about how to use one the way she did here. Glock handguns don't have external safety switches. They have internal ones that don't require any overt action by the operator before firing. It's basically just point and shoot, no "safety switch flicking" required. Anyone who has researched or used one would know that.

Otherwise, decent enough read, although I wouldn't buy the next one if it wasn't on KU.

Alright so this is the story of Reign and Summer.

Without giving too much away... Summer has been through some shit:

And Reign, well, he's a badass hot biker guy doing his badass biker thing:

And then they meet. And stuff happens. Some of the stuff is sexy stuff:

But let's face it... that would make for a boring story. So then other stuff happens And you'll be like:

But things work out. 'Cause, like, I'm a firm believer in HEA. I'd never let you ladies down:

Summer and Reign meet under some pretty extreme circumstances. Summer is captive for months of a skin trader named V who is trying to force her father to act on their behalf. While the plot was firmly in the realm of unbelievable for me, it was still quite enjoyable. I've got to say Ms. Gadziala has quite the imagination and insight through her writing has entertained me for hours :) I liked Summer despite a very painful naïveté of her own life. Poor girl goes through quite an ordeal in this story. Reign fell for her pretty easily as she tugged at his protective instincts. The glimpses into Reign's memories (what we didn't read them going through together) was just what the story needed to reinforce their connection. There is an instance of another woman before they officially get together but after they meet and like one another that did not sit well with me at all but hey it's not always wrapped up in a pretty bow so I get it. All in all a solid story. Safety: One instance of OW. No details or descriptions of how/what happens (thank goodness). As mentioned above, they were not together yet. No OM/Sharing. Threat/attempted rape. Yes to abuse.

He Unraveled me

HOLY SHIT, this was cray cray good, had everything I want, need, crave in a biker book, the element of surprise with the twists and turns this took me on were an added bonus..Loved how the mafia were incorporated within the story another favourite genre of mine, definitely hanging out for the next book in this series..

Bitch was under my skin and I knew it

A woman on the run (Summer) during a stormy night she manages to escape her captives, steals a car, and then crashes, only to fall into the hands of a hot notorious biker gang member named Reign.

I might have been a viscous, often violent fuck, but I wasn't gonna leave some chick in the middle of the road in the middle of the damn night during a hurricane with her mangled, un-drivable car.

These two are as different as chalk and cheese but like the best love stories they are a match made in heaven..

He was bad news, I was a good girl.

This was recommended to me from a friend on here knowing that I'm an MC HOE so I'm taking the plunge, haven't read a good biker book for a bit so hopefully this brings me some grit, some dark, some angst, some lovin and this is exactly what this book delivered me, I was in my happy place..

She was meant for penthouse apartment's and designer clothes and safety. She was meant for the clean life. And I was nothing but violence, blood and filth.

I've not read anything by this author before so am keen to see what kind of ride shes going to take me on..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Unbelievably easy to get into the story line grips you as soon as you start reading, I've read shitloads of biker books and I mean shitloads, loving the authors writing style, unique storyline, love REIGN..

Bodies were piking up because of me.

I'm trying my hardest not to compare the main male character as Jax (Sons of Anarchy) reason being is he's so alpha male, hardcore like this guy Reign, protects what's his and will suffer the consequences even if it means war.

He swept in all badass Prince charming and saved me.

NOTE: That since I read/reviewed this book the author has revised it and has now taken out the fact the hero had sex with an OW. I'm not going to change my review because it was based on the prior version of this book and my feelings still stand on THAT version. But I thought I'd give potential reviewers a heads up that it has been revised...

description

So first off I am going to say that I took a star off this book for one reason and one reason alone

I can overlook this type of thing if it adds something to the story, has a purpose, moves the plot along, which wasn't the case here. It could have been left out without it changing the story. In fact It would have been a four-star read then! It could have been written as It was just such a HUGE turn-off!

The other thing that annoyed me, but just mildly, was the repeated scenes from both points of view. Summer would describe a scene, then we would get the same scene from Reign. Was a bit overkill, but this was just a minor thing!

ALL that being said, I really like this authors' writing, she has a definite KA vibe going on, and I really like that. The plot moves at a good pace, the secondary characters are likable and well written. It's a solidly written book for sure.

I really want to read about the other guys in the club, hopefully we won't get the whole One can hope! *lol*

This has a story line that is so good. Reign and Summer are such an unlikely duo! There is romance, there is action and there are illegal activities...but there are also naughty erotic moments and a whole lot of sexy times.
 photo 7044015_zpsdm6kyz0n.gif

Summer is a sweet, beautiful woman who survives an abduction and hostage situtation by a local crime boss and succeeds in escaping her abductors. While on captivity, she had to endure physical torture, pain, abuse and horrific brutality.

 photo 2462c0c205762502d502506649b7b3b4_zpsknpjzwnx.jpg

Reign is a badass, aggressive MC prez. He finds her while she is on the run, he takes her to his house and offers her shelter, protection and safety.

 photo d4378b5943bcbbf40758553c8f59f75f_zpslgomsqe3.jpg

The sexual chemistry between the two is undeniable. The sparks of passion soon begin to fly between them and they both surrender to lust. Reign moves her up to rough sex. He teaches her submission and dominates her. Summer is putting herself entirely in Reign's hands, allowing herself to be totally vulnerable to his desires and trusting that he won't, truly, hurt her. They both enjoy the excitement, the letting loose, the sheer primal joy of it all.

 photo 319add8a8e2075ec30953c33ff8cd8d1_zpsie1uaqp5.jpg

Summer is suffering from horrible nightmares but Reign emotionally comforts her. Love has a dark side and Reign and Summer are exploring it! When they feel the shadows of the past threatening to engulf them, their lives are seriously endangered.

I love MC books and this one is real good. I loved loosened Summer and alpha Reign. I liked them together. I'm so glad they got a HEA. The story was really well written and I really enjoyed it. It had lots of twists and turns that were really thrilling.... It's not the typical MC book but I loved it all the same.

This book left me on the edge of my seat!! Good story. Flaming desires. Without hesitation, I give this book a 5/5 star rating.

Overall Opinion: This was an ok read. I had some issues with the connection and the development of their relationship. There was a main time jump that was when their feelings for each other were developing, and we missed that. As a reader, I feel like I need to understand how those feelings developed in order to feel the connection. There were some sweet moments that were presented as flashbacks from that time, but I would've liked it much better if we didn't have that time jump. The ending was way too abrupt for me, and I didn't get anywhere near the amount of closure that I typically like.

Storyline: This is Summer and Reign's story. Summer escapes her captors of 3 months on the night of a bad storm. She steals a car, but then crashes into a fallen tree. Reign happened to hear the crash, and finds her running from the car. He then takes her home with him, but doesn't realize the trouble that comes with her. Finally after some coaxing, Summer tells him what all has happened to her and why she is running. Reign takes it as his personal duty to protect her. There are some issues with sex traffickers, drug lords, crime bosses, moles in the mc, and family...but they get their HFN.

POV: This alternated between Summer and Reign's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I read it really fast, so it flowed well. I don't know if I'd call it instalove, but definitely instalust.

H rating: 3 stars. Reign. He was just kind of meh for me.

h rating: 4 stars. Summer. I liked how she grew more confident and was able to stick up for herself further along in the story.

Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed here.

Heat level: Moderate. For a mc romance, I would say this is on the low side for sex scenes...which would be a pretty normal amount for other romance genres ;)

Descriptive sex: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM:

Cheating:

Possible Triggers:

Closure: This didn't have enough closure for me at all, and my rating is so low mainly due to the ending. I want some concrete commitments or declarations by the end of my books, and at the most I would call this a HFN ending.

Worth the $?: It was part of the kindle unlimited subscription, but at the $2.99 on Amazon I'd say...yeah

Reign is a total bad ass an I luv him he doesn't know any other life then the Henchmans MC he is know the prez an his bro Cash us the vice prez Reign took over from his father an he is well like he runs a tight ship an doesn't get mixed up in peoples shit well that's until Summer

These to end up have a very rough start but there is something that pulls them together Reign isn't the type of man to settle down with anyone he likes to keep his women to the compound but with Summer he's doesn't want her there he wants her in his bed safe they r both drawn to each other sexually but Reign is tryin to hold on even though he wants her so much but he doesn't want to hurt her anymore she as been through hell

This was book one in the MC Henchmen series, which I heard about through the author's other series. I am glad that I went back and read this one, I enjoyed finding out about Reign and Summer who were mentioned in the books; Killer and Saviour. What a book this was! It kept me on my toes!!!

There were so many sizzling sex scenes; but that was not all..The twists and reveals in this story had me reeling and blown away! Some I didn't even see coming, and believe me..it is hard to surprise me!! I love a read where I get smacked between the eyes, and this had it happen more than once.
I am eager to start Cash's book. Cash is Reign's brother, and Reign is the "Prez" where as Cash is the "vice-prez!!" Believe me, these two are violent, and possessive; yet they are full out sexy too! If you are into the MC books, this is a series that is well worth the chance!!

I am actually a little bit nervous to find out what secrets will be revealed in book two!! I am sure there will be a ton of chaos, violence....and the best sex around!!! Happy to move on!!

Okay. So Jessica Gadziala gave another hero to fall in love with. Reign was all alpha and super delicious!

❥ Summer was being held captive by V, an infamous human trafficker. A hurricane timed itself perfectly with her escape attempt. After crashing her escape car, and seeing someone coming after her, she takes off running. She has no intention of going back. Lucky for her, the knight in shining armor isn't planning on giving her back.
❥ The passion and chemistry between Reign and Summer was amazing. The author did a great job of providing sensitivity for what Summer went through, giving a glimpse of Reign's softer side.

...kissing her had felt like being in the sun, like feeling the warm rays on your skin after being underground for your entire life.

❥ I got off on the intensity of Summer's situation. Can you imagine being kidnapped and tortured, getting away, finding comfort and safety with an mc club prez, getting kidnapped again, then again, and then tortured some more?

I was worried I was never going to feel clean ever again; the kind of clean that never knew the touch of filth. The kind of clean I had been before.

❥ While I didn't love Summer, I liked her well enough. I just don't like women who are delusional and she suffered a few delusions. Like being as tough as the men in the MC. Girl... please.

...if there came a time when I couldn't tolerate their reckless stupidity and needed to take off on my own, having some kind of weapon would be a major asset.

This from the girl who had never fired a gun. A girl who had absolutely NO self-defense abilities. A girl who was like a fish out of water. Stop it.

❥ Reign was everything. From his tendency to say incomplete sentences to his heart and caring for Summer, he was easy to love.

After finding my way through all the mayhem of this book, I can't wait to find out what happens in Cash's book. As Reign's brother, I've been able to see their similarities and their glaring differences. Cash seems a lot more laid back. I wonder if his leading lady will be the badass Lo. And I cannot wait for Wolf's book.

Original review
5 Summer Reign Stars

Sometimes you can read a book that's 100 pages long but feels like 300, then there are times you read a book with 300 pages and it feels like 100. This was one of those books for me. I flew through it and before I knew it it was over. The writing was so well formed and fluid. The characters were ones you rooted for and there was enough drama and twists to keep me interested ALL THE WAY THROUGH.

description

I kept waiting for the drama to drop off and shit to get boring, well that never happened (thank fuck).

Summer turned into one badass heroine who I would consider turning lesbian for. This sweet pampered little darling turned into a powerful gun toting queen.
Reign... Oh boy, that man was sex on legs. Who doesn't love an Alpha?! It wasn't just that he was sex on legs, he was compassionate too. And the sex was panty melting - fuck that soft and gentle shit, let's break stuff with our passion.

description

This whole book has so many possibilities, I really really want to read about Wolf, Cash, Repo and even what Lo's deal is. I loved it.

"4 Cherry stars"

I really enjoyed this book!It was different like was "Monster" from what I usually read but it was definitly a good kind of different! The plot was interesting and Reign&Summer were great together!
And I liked the second characters as well like Cash,Wolf,Repo,Lo and of course Janie she was bad-ass...but we saw her on "Monster" too, so we knew that already...they made a great team!!!
AnD I have never read the word "Bitch" so many times that would last me a lifetime....I kid you not!

Let's focus on Reign and Summer...
description
Reign was the prez of the Henchmen MC club.He was a hard man because he had many responsibilities and a club to take care...they were involved in illegal stuff and he had a lot of guilt carrying around because of the decisions that were made...He was all booze and bitches and brotherhood like in all the MC books...
description
Then a hot redhead enters his life and everything change...
a light in his darkness....
description
Summer was a really nice heroine in my opinion...she was sweet, kind, funny, naive but in a good way, strong and determind to stop being a victim in this charade that others put her in the middle...
description

The story was about crime lords who would do brutal things to have more and more control!
Summer was kidnapped, tortured and kept hostage for 3 months because crime lord V wanted something from her father...there were some surprises that I didn't see was coming...but that made it even better...then Reign finds Summer and protects her and of course falls for her...

And they have some hot, dirty, hard sex with spanking...
which leads to great Os....
description
I'd been fucking half hard since I laid eyes on her.
description
"I'll fuck you as hard as you want, when you admit that you'll miss me."
description
description
"Whose p*ssy is this?"
"It's your p*ssy Reign."
"Damn right it is."

But Reign was kind of sweet sometimes...
"Don't ever run away from me."
description
Then I went and fucking tucked her hair behind her ear.
What the fuck was that about?
I wasn't a hair-behind-ear-tucker.

"I love you."
"Love you too, babe, but no fuckin' way."
"For me?"
"For you...?
"Mmhmm."
"For you....anything."

AnD kind of jealous too....
"Is everyone done putting their hands on my fuckin' woman?"

Ohhhhh and of course I had a crush on Cash...

Can't wait for Cash's book!!!:)

Enjoy!xxx

4.5 stars!!!

This is a freaking surprise. I absolutely loved it. It's close to perfection with the exclusion of a minor issue with Reign being uhmm... I don't know... Too soft? Don't get me wrong I liked his character a lot but I felt like he was not as badass-y as I expected him to be. On the other hand, Summer was such a badass babe. She was headstrong, sassy and funny too. I also had a minor issue with the insta-love between Reign and Summer but oh well, I still adored both of them so...

For the plot, well I liked it. I loved the action, the twist and the pacing. It was overall an enjoyable read.

After reading Monster by this author I just had to go back and read more of her books. Her stories mention a lot of other characters and makes me super curious about what has happened to them, so I just had to go and check out more of her books.

I really liked this story and I have to say that I was honestly shocked by the ending, which doesn't happen that often. When I first started to read this I thought it was going to be the typical bad-boy-saves-innocent-girl kind of book. But I was so wrong! Reign was full of twists and turns, and every time I thought I knew what was going to happen I got proven wrong.

I loved these characters, including all the secondary characters. Reign was really interesting and I actually still want to know more about him. He was tough and in control until Summer came along and threw him for a loop and seeing him try to figure out how to handle her was interesting.

Summer wasn't the innocent little girl that I first thought her to be, she was actually really strong and handled a bad situation better than most people would. I loved that she had the courage to go back and fight those who had hurt her even when she learned who it was. I think one of the hardest things for her to do was put her trust in Reign but I loved when she did and took a chance with him.

Bottom line, this was another great book from Jessica Gadziala that I think everyone will enjoy. I already know this will be an amazing series and I can't wait to get Cash's story which is coming next.

4.0-4.25+ RATING- With none of my GR friends or people I follow having read or rated this book when I started it, I wasn't sure what to expect. This could have been awful. It wasn't! I actually really liked it and have zero problem recommending it! It's probably my favorite biker story I've read lately. Now, this isn't on the level of a Sheehan or Fanetti but for a guilty pleasure biker read, I was more than happy.

The story pulled me in from the beginning with a damsel in distress escaping peril. The writing was good, the sexy bits were sexy, and I really liked the hero. Throw in some good chemistry between the characters and a little dirty talk and I was a happy girl!

The last 20-30% of the book has a couple twist that I didn't see coming which is unusual. I do think the first 60% of the book was a bit stronger for me than then the rest but I'm guessing that's because the first part focused more on the romance while the latter was more of the suspense. The story line in the latter part of the book was definitely over the top in a way that was a little too much and that kept me from rating this higher.

My major disappointment with this book is that there aren't other books in this series to read after this. I'd love to read about Cash and Even Wolf and only hope the author does write stories for these supporting characters. I was happy to see the author does have several other books released and I'm actually starting one of them next.

Overall, I'm happy to have picked this one up and discover this "new to me" author. I find her writing very readable and I got exactly what I wanted out of this story. Rates high on my guilty pleasure scale!

What a great story this was. Reign, the president of his MC, saves Summer, a tortured and beaten girl, who just made a desperate escape from a vicious skin trader who has kept her captive, abusing and starving her for months. Reign, finding out Summer's background, decides to protect her by keeping her hidden from the bad guys and the cops they have in their pockets, who are going door to door through town looking for her as well. I loved Reign, he was an uber Badass, but he also had his tender, protective side as well. He treated Summer like gold. And when Summer and Reign came together, it was hot!

Summer almost seemed like she'd be broken when she was first saved, but quickly we find out she's actually as strong as a woman can get. She kept her shit together and never fell apart, and found the strength to try to learn to protect herself for anything she came across in the future. I also wanted to mention Reign's brother Cash. I enjoyed his character a LOT, I wouldn't mind seeing him in his own story in the future. His character played a big part in this story, and I absolutely fell in love with him.

This story sucked me in from the beginning, and completely kept me on my toes through the entire story. Loads of twists and turns, and surprises. There was absolutely no way to predict anything that happened in this story, which was a breath of fresh air compared to all the unoriginal stories out there these days. This one has it all: Great story, great characters, fantastic surprises, and an awesome HEA!

Re-read 19th August 2021

I’ve fallen way behind with this series. So I’m doing a re-read and then continuing on.

Original review.

A far-fetched exciting and surprising read.

Three months is a long time, an eternity if you've spent it chained to a bed, tortured and half starved and so when Summer sees an opportunity to escape she takes it.
She shouldn't have been able to get away but the hurricane must have made them careless, without money, ID, shoes and wearing the same, now filthy pyjamas she's been wearing for three months she escapes.
Reign is president of the Henchmen MC and has enough problems at the moment but when he comes across a woman running barefoot away from him in the middle of a storm he can't just leave her but he has no idea what he's getting involved in, no idea at all.
How do I describe this book?
It's far-fetched but addictive reading, I was hooked from the first page to the last, the characters are great I loved Reign the hot alpha tattooed biker and Summer, she's strong way stronger than she ever thought but then look at what she's been through plus Cash, Wolf, Repo...so many interesting characters, the story held me and truly surprised me in places.
I made the mistake of starting this book just before I went to bed it's now 3am I couldn't sleep until I'd finished it, I tried but I had to pick up my kindle again.
Cash's book is next, it's due out February 2016 and I can't wait.

Tried to get into this one but wasn't feeling it. At 30% I'm calling it quits.
Summer defiantly doesn't act like someone that has been held captive for months and months that is still wearing the same clothes and only got 5 mins a day to use the restroom. I'm not buying it. Time for me to move on:)

I had a high expectation for this book. The blurp and the reviews promising a dark romance. When I was listening to it, it is a dark romance. But it is done very poorly. The story and the plot is weird. Its missing a connection between 1 plot to another. The characters have no chemistry. The insta lust is forced. I do not understand how Reign suddenly falling for Summer right after he saves her. And Summer is even more confusing.

She went through a horrific experience, but she just bypass it like a breeze. The next thing, she throws herself to Reign. A man she barely knows. The banter between them is also cold and forced. The sex scenes are really forced. The dark world of MC is mute. Only playing on the background. Not enough to give the story a kick.
The wording is also need a better editing/ execution. The story does not flow nicely.

I try to read it until 60%. Then I just give up. There are more books I want to read.

Ok I decided to do my challenge read. I knew this wasn't safe. I am actually rating this for the storyline of suspense and the secondary characters. I didn't like the hero. I don't even think he did anything really great in this book and don't think he was portrayed very brave or strong or anything. Seemed that the women were the heroes and the villains and that it should not have been named Reign at all. I loved Wolf. Hope Cash van stop being an STD carrying lab specimen.. Because he seems sweet. I also think this author weaves a very intriguing tale. I mainly needed to start at the beginning just because I'm anal like that. Even if that other woman sex thing hadn't happened the whole inner dialogue about his past would have disgusted me anyway. Then he just didn't do enough. He wasn't "hero material". So ok one boundary pushing book done.

Last night I got a strange craving for a MC type book. This is not my usual fare so I hit up the QueenofSmutBook 's shelves to look for a few ideas.

Turns out Heather is a big fan of Jessica Gadziala and had really good things to say about the characters in her books so I thought... yep, this is what I'm looking for.

I finished the book in a few hours and although it wasn't a perfect book it took care of the bizzaro MC craving I was having.

Reign is for the most part our typical Alpha type MC prez with his brother Cash as the vice and his buddy Wolf as the enforcer. The leading lady, Summer (Yeah, I know, their names together are Summer Reign. Yes, like the scent of douche. Moving On.)

is the daughter of a wealthy business man that runs an importing company. She gets nabbed because the big bad ("V") who runs a sex trafficking operation is going to use her as leverage against daddy in an attempt to get access to those internationally traveling shipping containers he has lying around.

So here's what you need to know if you're interested in picking up this book.
1) Despite Reign's attempts during Summer's first few days out of captivity to be kind and caring and super careful with her, once she's out of earshot (or during his internal monologues) it's all about fucking, sucking, and calls her his bitch. Plus he gets all possessive, overprotective, blah blah blah typical contemporary romance alpha shtick. But I have to be honest, I sort of expected that going into this so I can't really complain much.

2) After they have sex (which they OBVIOUSLY have to do as soon as possible because she's been traumatized so she needs that sexual healing (I mean, this is magic dick lit *thank you Black Iris*), he decides that she is healed enough to handle him getting a little rough with her and calling her a slut (this is part of his dirty talk seduction) during their sexy times. Oh don't look at me like that, of course she's into it because what the hell kind of story do you think this is.
3) Summer, despite being held captive for three months, thinks she could be safe with Reign (no last name) within like 10 minutes of knowing him. And although she had never even really said a curse word in her life up until being abducted she takes pretty well to a new vocabulary that helps her fit right in at the clubhouse she is using to hide out from the abductors.

Annnnnnnnnd here's where you get to give me some side eye
When I was reading the story those three points I just mentioned really didn't even bother me all that much (ummm except him calling her slut while they are in bed. That DID piss me off while reading).

Full disclosure, I even enjoyed most of the book.
There is plenty of action, both the violent murder/guns/bombs kind and the between the sheet/pressed up against the walls kind.

There are some really cool side characters, which I will be honest, tends to get me every time. I LOVE side characters. And because this is part of a series I know they are going to show up later and have their own chance at the spotlight.

So the thing that actually did cost this book some stars was the twist of who "v" actually is in relation to our main character Summer. Any and all believeability went out the window from pretty much that point forward in the story.

Final Thoughts

I actually was entertained. If this book is your scene you will probably LOVE it

Summer escapes from her captor and meets Reign

Tall. Dark. Deadly... and the best looking man I had ever seen in my life.

I mean what the actual fuck? You just ran out of captivity, you were tortured but how come you focus on how hot a man is? The main problem is the writing. It's actually pretty bad.
Because, well, Reign eating me out three times a day... yum.

This book gives me Tillie Cole's Hades Hangmen vibe. Which is why I might continue this series. The plot is iscompletely different though.

5 "Tall, Dark and Deadly" stars!!

Song" Ed Sheeran "Make It Rain" (from SOA)

I gobbled this gem of a book up in one sitting! I loved it! It was one of those books that made me forget to feed or bathe my children...ok I forgot I had children all together ;)

I will start by saying that when I stumble upon a fantastic MC book I can't help but ALWAYS place the beautiful Jax Teller as my main even if the description is all wrong. (picturing CH in anyway can never be bad tho)

So...did I add that this book is fantastic?!

In the beginning Summer is running to escape a life of brutal abuse, starvation and unspeakable horror brought about when she was kidnapped to use as leverage for a disgusting crime.
Almost immediately we meet Reign....*sigh*...He appears out of nowhere and becomes her 'White Knight"....swooping in to save her from the bad guys on his big horse..well his (I assume) Harley.
Right away we know Reign is a take no shit guy, he doesn't make time for life outside of his Club and definitely not battered abused women that 'belong' to a major crime boss....

Reign is MC Prez perfection.. and even though there is small amount of insta-love that happens the build up is still hot and the fireworks definitely go off when Summer and Reign stop playing games.

Yep, this has MC hotness, drug lords and major crime bosses...sex, motorcycles, tattoos and bad mouthed bikers... and did I mention kidnapping??
Perfection in my self proclaimed MC slut world.

Ok, I refuse to give any more away. You have to read this book because every time you think you know what's next JG throws you a curve ball.

JG gives us several fantastic secondary characters as well... I pray Cash and Wolf get there time and I can only imagine the greatness that will come from their books (hint, hint).

I look forward to reading more from this author and I will wait not so patiently for Cash and Wolf.

Did I mention, Jax Teller ??!

Reign by Jessica Gadziala is the first in The Henchmen MC series and my god it a great steaming hot start 😍
It's very thrilling and naughty and has many twists which you don't see coming, it's a little dark in some places and the character's are great fun to read, it leaves you wanting to know more about the others.
If you want something different but still with a decent story line, sexy bikers and easy then I definitely recommend this 📖😘

The storyline was a completely twisted cluster f*ck in the BEST way possible!!!!!!! I mean seriously, What the what?????

This is one of those books where I did not want to put it down and was truly sorry that I had a job that requires me to work. LOL

Summer is kidnapped by a ruthless human trafficking bastard who needs the cooperation of her wealthy father. She is beaten & tortured in hopes her father will give in to V’s demands. This goes on for months until Summer manages to escape her captors.

Reign is the president of the Henchman MC and is on his way home one night when he comes across a girl on the side of the road.

I really liked the way this book was written. It grabs you from the very beginning and then flashes back to give you details and insight to all of the main characters. I really liked Summer’s character….although being sheltered most of her life and being very niave, she didn’t just play “the damsel in distress” she seemed to really step up to the plate when it came to taking control of her life.

Do you remember the emergency drills you had at elementary school? The ones where you had to tuck your head down and use your arms for cover? That's what I want to do with writing this review...

I'll start with the positive:
-- The characters: Reign, Summer, Cash, Wolf, Lo -- loved them.
-- The sex scenes: There were really only 2 that I'd consider fully developed, but they were pretty steamy and Reign was the right balance of brute beast and yumminess for me.

And now for the part that has had me debating with myself as to whether I should write a review at all, aka, the not-so-good:
-- Errors: everywhere. Most of the variety that was the wrong word but spelled correctly, so a simple spellcheck wouldn’t catch it. Any reader would, because it became seriously annoying as they added up and continued to throw me out of the story while my brain had to figure out what was supposed to be the word. It would be like me writing this review and saying that it was the host annoying think about it ;)

-- Writing style: juvenile and repetitious in a non-effective manner. I get that Summer is a relatively sheltered young woman and her inner monologue might be directed toward a juvenile vent. I could live with this. But Reign’s was too. In fact, other than his cursing more in his head, there really wasn’t much of a difference between their POVs, yet I was subjected to repeated scenes from both angles.
Also, the repetition of words or phrases to create emphasis or comedic pauses lost its efficacy with overuse. (One of many examples from the book: Reign inner monologue “I laughed. Laughed. I never fucking laughed. But I laughed.”)
And last, but not least on the topic of writing style, there was the repetition of sentence structure that was just…well, see for yourself… (One of many examples from the book: Summer inner monologue
“Oh
my
god.” Followed by about a page and a half, then
“Oh
my
god.
No.” There were also “Oh, god” and “Oh lordy” and “Oh my god” in the same few pages with these.)

-- Plot development: Not plausible. The only way I can explain this without giving any plot away is to say that it had the feel of Super Crime Villains living in a tranquil suburban environment with nary a hint at their underbellies or consequences. Plot twists and machinations were oddly forced and then wrapped up in a bow before they could be explained into any form of plausibility.

I do think this book has potential. With a solid editing that would include a keen eye toward plot clarity, this would be a good read.

DEFINITELY A 5 STAR MC READ

My lady friends, I introduce Reign...

"Don't know why. Could eat that pussy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

Yeah, I know, right?
I loved this from beginning to the end. A real page turner. There was not one character here that I didn't love. They all fit in perfectly and played their roles brilliantly. Gosh Summer. An amazing heroine. That girl was tough and continued to grow tougher throughout the story. I couldn't help but grin every time she opened her mouth. Reign, well you got a little taste above but he is so much more than that. He becomes Summer's white knight right out of the gate, on a bike that is. He knows he has to help her but he has no clue whose after her or why, eventually he learns it's somebody that NO ONE ever wants to be involved with.

Reign does this without letting the club members in on it. The only ones who know is Cash, his brother and Wolf, a friend who grew up with them in the club. While under their protection, fireworks explode between Summer and Cash, and it's oh so good.

This is so action packed. Bikers, murders, crime lords, guns, torture chambers, lies, and things that will surprise you. Things aren't always what they seem. A total page turner, likeable characters, and a very hot protective biker badass.
