Not only did I fall in love with Via and Lucky; but the secondary characters caught my attention as well! Brio, in particular is someone who I want a book for him right away!!! He is an extremely interesting character and quite the psychopath!!! My kind of anti- hero!!!
As with all of Jessica’s books, I enjoy them and can’t wait to read more!!!! There are so many to choose from, and I’m grateful I still have lots to read!!!

In this instalment Roderick meets his match when a woman comes and steals his guns while he’s delivering them to the customer. The theft of the guns starts an exciting story of Roderick searching for the woman who stole them!!
I have to say that I fell in love with Liv’s tiny group that stick together while they do their gun running!!! Camden especially has me super intrigued and I can’t wait to get to his book! The secondary characters in this series are always super interesting and it just keeps me wanting more!!
I highly recommend this series for lovers of MC series!!

Niro is book #1 in the Henchmen MC: Next Generation! I was really excited to start this one, especially after my binge read of the Henchmen series. I Niro is book #1 in the Henchmen MC: Next Generation! I was really excited to start this one, especially after my binge read of the Henchmen series. I have got to say that I wasn't disappointed in the least. I think Jessica did an amazing job of passing over the torch to the grown up children of our favorite MC group!! I found this new series to have been given new life in the Navesink Bank world. I loved that there is now a new "enemy" that has come to town, and I am sure he will be bringing a host of new problems for the club to deal with. I will admit though, even though he is an enemy, I am certainly intrigued by him, and could see him eventually being a dark hero for somebody!!!
As far as Niro and his kind hearted woman go...their story was sweet. They were childhood friends, and eventually their innocent love grew into something way more. I found them to have a special connection, but it was soft kind of love, considering how sensitive his woman is. I prefer some darker and grittier romance; but for the first book...I did definitely enjoy it!
Unfortunately, I now have to wait for a second book to come out..I am glad that I have a ton of Jessica's other series to keep me busy while I wait!!! I will absolutely be reading the second installment as soon as it comes to be!!!

I am loving this dark read, and it is definitely dark. If you are not a fan of an anti-hero; then you want to pass on this one! If you do like a hero whom you love to hate...then read this book! LOL The only reason this is getting a four stars from me, is that I am not a fan of these serial stories. I don't understand the point. I'd much rather have the whole book. Other than that, I am devouring this, and I am moving on to the third installment. I am dreading when I finish it though, as I am quite certain the fourth installment isn't out yet...Why do I do this to myself??? I should have waited until the whole thing was out...but NOOOOO....instead curiosity got the best of me. One day I may learn...just not today!!!

"Kings of Carrion" is a dystopian genre themed book, and it is the third instalment of the "Juniper Unraveling" series. Expect a dark read full of suspense, violence, and also love. It is not a light hearted read by any means; but it will hold your attention, and make you feel for the characters that we have gotten to know over the last two books. Keri Lake does a brilliant job of creating such a believable world full of strife and fear. I am amazed that she could create a love story during the hard times these people are experiencing. They are fighting for survival, yet they aren't doing it alone. There is also a familial bond that develops amongst the characters, that its impossible not to become emotionally involved in how everything will turn out.
I realize I am being very careful by what I say, and I am speaking very cryptic!! I don't wish to give anything away. I was devastated when I came across a major spoiler about something that happens in the end of this book. I hate when that happens and try very hard not to ever do that to a reader. The biggest point I want to get across about this whole series so far is that it is not to be missed! If you are able to read dark themed books; then this is a must read series! Each book I have read has made it in my "Best of" books for the year. This one will be in my Best of 2020 for sure! I can't wait to see what is in store for us in book four! Bring it on!!!

I love a dark, gruesome dystopian story, and the second book in this series delivered plenty of gore and despair. If you are looking for a flowery romance, you will not find it here. There is love that develops during the pain, devastation, and torture that our beloved characters endure. The thing is though, this story isn’t pretty and it turned my stomach more than once... but that made the glimpse of passion and love even more cherished when I finally got to witness it happen between Cali and Valdys.
I would love to go into all the details that make up this horrific world; but it is one of those books that you need to experience without spoilers. I will mention that this is not a standalone... you must read the first book as there is a huge amount of history and information that you would miss out on if you didn’t. My reason for docking is Half a star was that I found it a bit slow in the first half. Even in saying that, I was hooked from the get go!
Now I have to wait for the conclusion which comes out in December! I can’t wait!!! This is a series I won’t ever forget!

I enjoyed this book, although it took me some time to become fully invested into Gregory and his own Willow Girl. We met Gregory in the first two bookI enjoyed this book, although it took me some time to become fully invested into Gregory and his own Willow Girl. We met Gregory in the first two books by this author. I saw that this is considered a stand-alone but to be honest.. I feel you need to read; “Torn” and “Taken” to get the history of what went on between Gregory, his Brother ( Sebastian), and Helena ( Sebastian’s wife). Without having all of their history, I just can’t see how a reader would be able to fully become engaged into the story!
I did enjoy that there was a mystery thrown into the history of the house that Gregory bought for him and Amelia. It adds to the other suspense that is going on in the story. The main reason I wasn’t able to give this a five star was because I felt Gregory was not as hard as he came across in the other books. On the whole, this book wasn’t nearly as dark as the other ones, and I felt that it should have been. Gregory was such a tormented soul, and bitter... and yes... it came out a bit like that in his character... but not as much as it should have! Obviously, it could be my own expectations of what his story should have been that made me slightly disappointed... Even in saying that though, I did enjoy the story enough to give it a four star rating!!!

I have always loved Pam Godwins dark romances! She is the Queen of being able to redeem the unredeemable!!! I honestly didn’t think she would get me to feel any compassion for our hero... but she most certainly did! As for Kate ( our heroine) she was a kick ass woman and I loved her in this book! She was fierce when she needed to be, and vulnerable at times too. I thought she was perfect for Tiago, and definitely gave him a run for his money!
As always with Ms. Godwin’s stories; readers must be warned that there is dark content within the pages. It is important to remember that the anti- hero in this book is twisted and majorly unconventional. The sex is brutal, raw, and may turn some of you off. On the flip side though... he is extreme in his love for Kate. He’s beyond alpha, possessive, and intense! I personally loved that part of him! To love that wholeheartedly and be so captivated by someone, makes me kind of envious!! ( I know in reality it would be creepy! Lol) I have always known what kind of love stories I will get when I open Pam’s books and I just eat them right up!
My only complaint, and the reason I docked a half a star is that I would have liked to know a bit more about Tiago’s past. More information about his parents and how they treated him would have been good to know. I would have also liked to have known why his certain issue came about..( I don’t want to say what it is). Other than that I loved the story and this is one of my best books of 2019!

Once again Pam Godwin captured my attention with this dark and taboo read! I always expect to think outside of the box when I read one of her stories. This whole series has brought me out of my comfort zone and yet I still loved it all! I will warn readers that these books are not to be taken lightly. There is rape, kidnapping, and major violence... but within all of that depravity, love is found and from the ashes happiness comes!
In this instalment, you can expect a ménage relationship, as well as male/ male sex. If this isn’t your thing then you definitely want to pass on it. For me, I absolutely fell in love with the relationship between Tula, Martin, and Ricky. It was sooo intense and their sexual encounters were blazing hot!!! Their story was one I devoured and just couldn’t put it down! I only had a small complaint and that was I felt the conclusion was kind of rushed. Other than that I gobbled this right up!
If you are someone that loves dark reads, then this series is one you don’t want to miss!

In saying all that though, this particular started off intriguing me like all of the others... but then towards the end, I became disappointed. There were theories that were coming up in my head about who was responsible for certain things, and then by the end it became a bit irrelevant to the main characters. It was a great set up for Cole’s book( which I am dying to read!!) but as far as the main couple went, I feel like they were cheated of an epic ended to their story.
I won’t go into detail, because I don’t ever risk giving anything away.. especially in a book like this!! I just felt let down by the conclusion of everything that went down. Even with that disappointment, I did give it a four stars because believe me, this author can write! I did enjoy the first part of the journey, it just became a bumpy ride later on!

Even with that disappointment, I did give it a four stars because believe me, this author can write! I did enjoy the first part of the journey, it just became a bumpy ride later on!
Thank you to my sweet Buddy Reader Steph! I have loved reading this series with you, and I can’t believe we are coming to the end of it in March!...more
