Three weeks. That’s all the time self-made billionaire Cooper Anderson has to respond to discovering he’s a single dad, sell his lake house, and catch a one-way ticket across the world. Even while mistaken for the nanny, she can keep things quick and professional. No running into her embarrassing southern family, no stirring up the wounds that’d sent her packing four years ago, and definitely no melting over a stockbroker’s unfair dimples and boyish charm.
Why, oh, why doesn’t anything ever go according to plan?
With both their deadlines closing in before they’re ready, Quinn and Cooper must decide whether the life they’re set on pursuing alone is worth more than the one they could be missing together.

Each book in the Home In You Series is a standalone and can be read separately. But I recommend reading the books in order if you want to follow the overall timeline:
Still Falling - A Prequel Write Me Home - Book One Begin Again - Book Two Just Maybe - Book Three Chasing Someday - Book Four
Crystal writes contemporary clean romances with humor, broken characters, and emotional plots full of grace and hope. When her hands aren’t full with her very active, little blue-eyed heroes, she's delving into the wonder of words, supporting her Starbucks habit, or laughing over movie quotes with her husband.
I loved this book!!! I have enjoyed the other two books in this series but this one is by far my favorite. I felt like I was given a new insight into myself as I read this story. We make plans and expect our lives to go a certain way and then we feel abandon by God when our plans fail. When in reality God has a better plan than anything we could come up with. The love story between Cooper and Quinn was beautiful. The greatest love is when the other person sees who you can truly become and brings that out of you. Another amazing aspect brought to light in this story is that we don't give our talents the credit they deserve. Many times we feel our talents are not great like those around us and don't realize the impact they have on others and the good we can do if we use them to help serve those in our sphere of influence. I can not say enough praise for this book. I highly recommend it!
Ooh, I love me a story with a good case of mistaken identity and this one is classic, because not only does Cooper think Quinn is applying to be a nanny, but they somehow find themselves in a relationship of convenience, which makes everything just a little more interesting. And by interesting, I mean the sparks are snapping between the two of them and when you add that to an adorable baby boy, a crazy Southern family, and situations that leave a grin plastered to your face, you get an adorable story.
Life doesn't always go the way a person has it mapped out and sometimes that's a good thing, but both Quinn and Cooper are wrestling with choices and life paths that could have lasting consequences and I loved watching it all unfold. These are such great characters with strengths and weakness, learning to navigate life and responsibility.
There's a little bit of everything in this book--conflict, drama, and romance, to name a few--but it's a perfect recipe of success and I loved every minute of it.

I've been reading (and enjoying) Crystal Walton's books from the very beginning and I have to say that I think this book might be my favorite one. I loved it. LOVED. IT.
These characters were so well crafted. Each page felt like I was peeling back a layer, getting closer to the soul of who they really are. I loved that. The whole cast of characters were fantastic.
Oh, and there were sparks flying around everywhere. The chemistry between Quinn and Cooper is crazy and the butterflies in my tummy were in full force. I loved their banter and all their interactions. Good stuff, that.
This book is full of emotion and depth. The characters grow and learn. There is a perfect balance of flirty and fun with serious and challenging. I could not put this book down. LOVE!! 😍
Oh! You can pick this book up on KU if you have that. OR it's just $.99 to buy!! Don't miss this fantastic deal!!

Quinn never imagined her career changing story would lead her back to her home town. She's not ready to face her family... not yet. Not until she lands her big promotion that will make everyone in her life proud of her. She has failed enough already, she just can't let them down again. She's got this. She has too. There's no other option.
Cooper never imagined hearing the words "you're a dad"! Especially not when everything is finally starting to fall into place. He's moving around the world for crying out loud! How can all this be happening now? He's got 3 weeks... 3 weeks to set everything straight so he can make his big move. He can't keep letting his family down, especially now that he has a son. He will do right by him, he has too. There is no other option.
A case of mistaken identity has Quinn playing nanny. It's the perfect cover for her story. She has 3 weeks to win over Cooper and get his permission to write and run the story. But life doesn't always work in our favor. Both Quinn and Cooper have secrets that they would rather keep hidden from each other. But the more time they spend together, the more they realize they don't want any secrets between them. But what happens when they finally come out? Will it have them both running again? Or can they move on from them and start over? And maybe, just maybe they can find their happily ever after as a family?
I have to say that Just Maybe is my favorite one in the series so far! It had me laughing out loud, getting teary eyed, growling in frustration wondering when these two were going to open their eyes to see what was right in front of them and had me letting out little dreamy sighs. I know I say this a lot but the feels are definitely real my friends! The setting was perfect, the story line was amazing and I fell in love with everyone... especially little Brayden! I absolutely LOVED this book!
Ms. Walton has done it again! She weaves an amazing tale of love, heartache, forgiveness, understanding and second chances. Her books just keep getting better and better! I can't wait for Livy and Chase's story!
And let's talk about this casting. I absolutely love these two! What do you think?
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are solely my own.*
Every book I read by Crystal Walton becomes my new favorite. Guess what? Just Maybe is my new ‘new favorite’. It’s southern and sassy and SWOONY (whew… read this from safety of your freezer!!). But even more than all of that it’s so tender and sweet, even in unexpected ways.
Let’s start with the fun stuff. The chemistry. <> Cooper and Quinn may be opposites in a lot of ways, but boy howdy do they generate some fabulous sparks. Cooper takes Quinn’s quirks and sass – and family – in stride, in his laidback charm-you-with-his-smile ways. And gives as good as he gets. Heat was already in the air between these two, but when he suddenly declares himself her (pretend) boyfriend to spare her image with her family … well, get out the smelling salts because “breath, time – lost”. I’ve still not quite recovered from that first kiss. It takes them a bit (of toe-curling delicious almost-kiss moments) to get to that point but once they do… oh sweet mercy.
It’s not just sparks that fly in this story – there’s some good old-fashioned southern family dynamics going on too. Quinn might have been embarrassed by her family but I loved them!
But what I loved even more than Quinn’s grammar-correcting quirks or Brayden’s adorable sweetness or Cooper’s unabashed charm or the community’s eclectic personality… is the gentle way in which Crystal Walton weaves a message of embracing the mess of our failed expectations and leaning in to the ‘you’ that God sees. Letting Him write a beautiful story that makes sense of the mess and turns it into something beautiful. The faith element is subtle but oh so tender.
Bottom Line: Crystal Walton gets better and better with each new book! Just Maybe is witty and sassy and quirky and swoonily romantic, and Walton’s impeccable way with words paints a vivid picture in your heart and on the page. A must read for contemporary romance fans!
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
Cooper and Quinn have to choose between the ambition of their own plans and the attraction of a love and life that sounds too good to be true... factor in the electrified attraction zinging around these two, her zany southern family, plus countless sweet baby moments and y'all won't be able to put this story down!
On the surface, Cooper is everyone's favorite wealthy ladies' man but his genuine heart and driven work ethic make him a real keeper. Quinn is determined to prove her worth and make her family proud through a successful career in journalism.
This story really had me thinking about expectations. I don't know about y'all but I can be my own worst critic. Wouldn't it be nice to see yourself as your loved ones see you or (even better) how God sees each one of us?! I highly recommend this book and series!
I requested the opportunity to read and review this title through the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
After I read Drew and Ti’s story, Begin Again, I knew it was going to be a tough act to follow. The banter, the humour, the chemistry, and the growing friendship that taps into the heart and soul of the characters—it was the best of everything I love in a contemporary romance. But it begged the question: Could the next one possibly be as good? I should have known better than to doubt this author. Cooper and Quinn might be totally different characters, but all those same elements are alive and well in this novel, just presented in their own unique Cooper-and-Quinn way.
Quinn is equal parts sass and homemaker, and she has a compulsion to correct people’s grammar that I can totally relate to. I laughed out loud at her angst over someone calling their coffee shop ‘Xpresso’! She’s also driven to prove herself in order to make those she loves proud of her, which is what brings her to Cooper’s doorstep in search of an exclusive interview. Being mistaken for a nanny gives her a perfect ‘in’ for the interview she wants to write, but before she knows it, Cooper’s returning the favour by posing as her boyfriend, her family’s falling in love with him, and . . . well, it’s getting so much more complicated than writing an article should be!
And Cooper... Hello, Mr Delectable! For a self-made billionaire, he’s pretty laid back. He handles Quinn’s sass like a pro, has genuine (and very potent!) charm, is big-hearted and fun-loving, and notwithstanding his track-record with nappy-changing(!), it’s obvious he’s a natural at this fatherhood gig. What girl wouldn’t swoon over all that?!
But lying at the heart of this story is a girl living with the devastation of having the one thing she wanted more than anything stolen from her, and a guy who’s burdened by a load of guilt and fear his father would never have wanted him to carry. And as much fun as the banter and Quinn’s slightly embarrassing Southern family are, my favourite moments in this novel were those moments when the walls came down between Cooper and Quinn, and their hearts were on full display—their vulnerability, their compassion, and their growing love for one another. Scoop me off the floor, because my bones pretty much turned to mush!
All that is to say, if you love contemporary inspirational romance, Crystal Walton needs to be on your must read list!
I received a copy of this novel from the author. This has not influenced the content of my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.
I read a free Advanced Reader Copy, which I got because I was so impressed by another one of her books that I followed her links to her website (I wanted to know - what kind of person writes such a good book?), and then got the opportunity to join a FB group. This book was as good or better than that other awesome book I read - Begin Again. She writes clean, uplifting stories with a touch of faith. The entertainment factor is tops! The wit displayed between characters keeps me smiling - how does one think of all those clever things? Amazing. The word "woven" is another apt description. There is so much attention to detail, more than I can count, little incidents refer back to something earlier in the story. Your interest will be captured and you won't be able to put it down. Along with wit and detail, you can add "meaningful" to the list. She touches on deep, meaningful themes that affect everyone. In this story you get expressions of love for fathers and from fathers, or the pain of their absence, an affirmation about the importance of fatherhood influence, and you see some pitfalls in the character's lives of trying to live up to a father's (or anyone's) expectations. The characters didn't quite understand the thoughts behind their father's actions. But these are just side topics - it's mainly about a budding romance. You get an exploration into a character's motives to find out if they acting out of fear or love. This book lightly touches the pain issues of dementia and infertility, but done in a way that just plucks your compassion strings but not drag you down. It's entirely an uplifting and feel-good story. There should be more like this in the world. My weekend time in the rocking chair was well spent!
I hate to say to much and spoil the fun of discovering the characters and living their adventure with them. I picked this book to read because I had enjoyed another in this series, but it can stand on its own quite well. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I read it on a flight to California and the hours simply vanished into thin air. I had tears running down my cheaks reading the last words as we touched down at the shear joy of a story well told. I was seated in between two arm rest hogs, with my arms squeezed together to avoid the pain of their elbows, but drifted away in the book by the time we reached cruising altitude and left me smiling when we disembarked despite the pain in my neck and shoulders. Now that’s a good book!
Romance, clean, series, stand-alone read Cute setting. She has a secret, a loud, loving, Southern Family, and trying not only to keep her job secret from her boss, but her heart safe too.
This book was wonderful! I felt my heartstrings pulled more than once while reading this book! Crystal Walton really drew me in and held my attention from page one.
I laughed and I cried, and then I laughed until I cried! This book is one of the most entertaining stories I’ve read for a while, and I read a lot. Just Maybe is well written with a fairly complex story line, but the wires never get crossed and despite the three week deadline both Cooper and Quinn have hanging over their heads with the multitude of problems facing them, there is never any confusion. This is also one of those books where the reader is drawn into the story and you feel as if you are in the middle of all the chaos. I loved Cooper’s cheeky charm, and despite his dread of publicity, when Quinn needed support, he was right there with her. Quinn is hilarious, but it is a quirkiness that is borne out of pain. Her crazy family and compulsions make her a woman we can all identify with. Quinn’s family at first seem like the relatives from hell, but underneath it all they are good people who care deeply for one another. Baby Brayden has his own role in the book and is the reason for it taking on a life of its own, but he is as cute as a button and draws everyone together. On top of it all, this is a delightfully clean read with a romance that grows and develops throughout the story. For sheer entertainment and reading pleasure, I highly recommend this book. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Just when I thought oh what could possibly top Ti and Drew's story,. Cooper Quinn and baby Brayden came tugging at my heart sleeves like 'oh yeah we got you covered.' As usual with every one of Crystal Walton's books I've read, I laughed, I cried and I had a smile so wide at the end of the book it was obvious I never wanted it to end. This beautiful story about trading fear for love made my heart happy. Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to be the best version of ourselves, trying to be the best we can be and not disappoint the people we love that we lose sight of what's important. Just Maybe let's you know it's okay to fail, it's okay that you feel inadequate, just be willing to take that giant leap of faith. You might be making an impact even when you feel like you've done nothing. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts are mine and not that of the author
"Just Maybe" is an amazing story of trading fear for love! Both Cooper and Quinn are hiding and running from past circumstances that have kept them from truly living. The author does a wonderful job of drawing you into their relationship that is filled with humor, admiration, challenges and shared experiences of daily living. I received an Advanced Reader Copy and it was hard to put this book down. I'm so thankful for Crystal Walton's stories in particular this "Home In You" series. Each book features real life characters who grow to understand that God meets them right where they are providing the strength and courage to grow in His love and grace! Enjoy reading "Just Maybe"....this story will impact you!
I thought Book 2 in the series, Begin Again, would be hard to top, but I think Just Maybe did it! Crystal Walton established Cooper as an entertaining, ridiculously charming and handsome character in the last book, and lets him come into his own here.
Quinn is by far my favorite heroine of the series. The girl is a grammar nerd, baker, and wears Fruit of the Loom panties. This is my kind of girl. Smart, determined, and loving, yet a little misguided, you can't help but root for her.
The humor really shines in this book, from Cooper and Quinn, but also from Quinn's family of Southern bumpkins (who, aside from their Southernisms, seem like "every family," much to many people's dismay). The novel also has its touching moments too, which you'd expect from characters each grieving life-changing losses.
Well written and hard to put down. A new romance favorite I highly recommend!
This is one of those books you don't want to put down or end! It all started when Cooper's life is turned upside down. He really doesn't know what he's doing and can't believe it's happening NOW! Then in walks Quinn and it twists his world all over the place. This book had so many funny parts and situations, but it also had some deeply touching parts too. I really loved reading this story. We all have times of doubting our worth and what others think of us. Crystal Walton truly has a way of bringing emotions and feelings into her writing. You'll ache, laugh, cry, smile, snort and do happy dances all while enjoying a fantastic story! This is a fun addition to the Home In You Series. I can't wait to read the next one! I was given this book by the author for an honest review, all opinions are my own.
I am never disappointed when reading a book by Crystal. I absolutely LOVED it! It was funny and poignant. There were so many elements to the book to love. The fun part was Quinn's obsessiveness over grammar usage. It was so enlightening. Quinn's father's dementia was so very heartbreaking. We are going through this with my mother in law. Brayden calling Quinn mama for the first time had me in tears! Thanks so much for such a beautiful book! I completely devoured it and did NOT want it to end.
Crystal Walton's characters always feel so real and easily relatable, and this book is no exception. Dementia and Alzheimers have touched my family in the past and the scenes with Quinn's father tugged at my heart. Loved getting to see other characters from the series again and the way both Cooper and Quinn changed over the course of the story as they let go of things they were convinced they had to do to live up to parents' approval and learned what it was they were actually meant to do and be. A beautiful story of letting go of fear and taking that big leap for love. A must read.
*I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.
In Just Maybe, the third book in her Home in You series, Ms. Walton has once again written a story that will draw you into the lives of her characters through their struggles, their hopes, and their growth and change throughout the book. Both Quinn and Cooper have some obstacles to overcome in their lives, especially relating to lies they’ve believed about themselves and who they are and the things they believe others think of them. Quinn struggles to find her value, thinking it rests on something it doesn’t, believing lies that tell her she isn’t enough, believing that others don’t see her as enough. Cooper has his own struggles with lies he’s accepted about who he is, about what he must do to honor his father, and more.
Quinn so clearly “sees” Cooper, sees who he is, sees what lies beneath the facade he puts up and she encourages him to see himself through the eyes of the people who love him, but he struggles to do so. Cooper, in turn, does the same for Quinn. He “sees” who she is and how the people who love her truly see her, but she cannot see it for herself. How often do we live our lives this way? So easily seeing others and the lies they’ve believed about themselves and even encouraging them to step beyond those lies to see the truth, but when it comes to ourselves, it is so much more difficult to see ourselves clearly, to recognize the lies we’ve believed about ourselves for what they are—falsehoods meant to keep us down, meant to keep us in bondage and away from the freedom of truth God offers us. I believe this aspect of Quinn’s and Cooper’s stories is so very real to so many of us. We sometimes desperately need someone to come along and shake us up, to show us how they see us and to help us get a glimpse of how God sees us so we can begin to offer to ourselves the grace we so easily bestow on others. It has been many times in my life that friends and loved ones were there to tell me what they saw in me when all I could see was failure or fear. They were there to help me stand against the lies I’d believed about myself.
Each story in this series has been a story of redemption, but each one has been so very unique with each set of characters relatable in their own way. It’s a series that is definitely worth the read with a message of hope and healing woven throughout. The characters are well developed and the romance is, without a doubt, swoonworthy. And as usual, Ms. Walton has given me just enough of the hint of the story coming in the next book that I am waiting anxiously for the next couple’s story that we’ll drawn into. I’ve no doubt the wait will be worth it!
If I could only pick one thing that Walton does well and sum it up in one word, it would be tension. Of the romantic variety. And I say that because sometimes reading her books goes a little bit like this:
Ooh, here we go. This is it! The moment I've been waiting for! These two are finally going to.... ugh, nope. Not yet. Dang it!
Okay, NOW we're getting somewhere. He's gonna kiss the girl in 3, 2, 1... well...okay, fine. Later's probably better anyway. Author knows best and all that. But, seriously. Are you kidding me right now?
Alright. Enough is enough. If one more thing comes between these two I might just--ahh, okay, there we go. And... finally.
Thankfully, that kind of tension is the stuff romance readers love. Myself included. Watching two characters just skirt the edge of romantic connection only to be pulled apart again and again for this, that, and the other reason, is a pastime that's borderline addictive. And y'all know reading is my favorite drug.
Also thankfully, romantic tension isn't the only thing Walton does well. Her books are filled with engaging--and often saracastic (my favorite)--dialogue, clean and yet still toe-tingling romance, hope, redemption, and characters you can really relate to.
Following Quinn's story as she tackled her fears and overcame some of her insecurities was incredibly entertaining. I loved her the second she made her first grammar correction, but the more her personality was revealed in the pages of Just Maybe, the more of myself I saw in her hesitations, her self-doubt, her spirit--let's just say we're book BFFs.
I had a hard time getting a handle on Cooper at first because I started reading this book immediately after Begin Again, the book that first mentioned Cooper. I thought it was difficult to reconcile the Cooper from Begin Again with the Cooper in Just Maybe, because in the timeline between the two books Cooper became a millionaire. And that's a somewhat important piece of Just Maybe's story because that jump from rags to riches was what brought Quinn and Cooper together in the first place. But, unless I missed it somewhere because I was too wrapped up in their love story vs their life story, I never caught on to the explanation of how he did it. Here was this big, huge thing that happened to him, enough so to cause a reporter to go undercover to find out the very thing I myself was curious to know, and ... I still don't know how it happened. That niggles a little, but hey... worst case scenario is, I'll have to read it again to find out. Oh, the sacrifice.
I've never rooted for two people to get their romantic act together more than I did Quinn & Cooper. And when they finally made a move, I wanted to go jump in the lake right alongside them to cool myself down. :-) (How's that for a little teaser, eh?)
Overall, this was an incredibly fun read--charming in some areas, serious in others.
I have never read a book by Crystal Walton that I didn’t LOVE, and this one did not disappoint! Cooper is a typical bad boy, down to riding his motorcycle and loving adrenaline sports. He has immature tendencies, but is a self-made very rich man. He likes his privacy, avoiding the media at all costs, and plans on moving halfway across the world in three weeks. Quinn is a reporter who is determined to get a story out of Cooper no matter what the cost. Her job is on the line if she doesn’t deliver an excellent article. When she shows up at Cooper’s front door (that happens to be in her own hometown) he invites her in…as the nanny for his 1 year old! Spending more time together gives both Quinn and Cooper the chance to re-evaluate their so-called priorities that they had been chasing. They both realize that nothing is more important than family, and running away from problems never fixes the issue at hand. What will happen when Quinn’s nasty boss shows up at Cooper’s house and tells him that Quinn is a reporter, writing an article on him? I most definitely recommend this book! It made me laugh multiple times at the scenarios and sayings that were used! My heart soared at times and ached for the characters at other times. Don’t wait to read it! I received an ARC of this book from the author, but that in no way affected my review.
Blurb: When a case of mistaken identity spirals into a more-than-complicated pretend relationship, an adventure seeker and a grammar fanatic just might’ve met each other’s match.
Three weeks. That’s all the time self-made billionaire Cooper Anderson has to respond to discovering he’s a single dad, sell his lake house, and catch a one-way ticket across the world. The quick-witted nanny responding to his ad couldn’t be more of a life saver … and maybe a nice distraction. Until the secrets she’s hiding get a little too close to exposing his own.
The one lead guaranteeing Quinn Thompson a promotion just has to land her back in her hometown to finagle an interview out of Mr. Elusive, of all people. But she can hack it, right? Even while mistaken for the nanny, she can keep things quick and professional. No running into her embarrassing southern family, no stirring up the wounds that’d sent her packing four years ago, and definitely no melting over a stockbroker’s unfair dimples and boyish charm.
Why, oh, why doesn’t anything ever go according to plan?
With both their deadlines closing in before they’re ready, Quinn and Cooper must decide whether the life they’re set on pursuing alone is worth more than the one they could be missing together.
The beautiful thing about Crystal Walton’s writing is that you can relate so easily to them. They draw you in and you don’t want them to end. They could be real people facing real problems that many of her readers can face. She doesn’t shy away from tough issues and struggles. I think Quinn’s family dynamic is something that a lot of people can relate to, I know I can. From craziness to brokenness, I know I can look at Quinn and easily see myself in her shoes. Cooper captured me from the beginning. (Even when I first met him in Begin Again) I love the real life battle Cooper faces with being a single parent. It was moving seeing it from the dad’s perspective and seeing a woman desperately want the best for him and his son. It’s a powerful example of how everyone deals with deep rooted personal issues but when someone cares about you, they bring out the best in you inspite of those issues. I think that’s something everyone desires in their relationships. It’s a beautiful story and you definitely will want read it more than once! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the author and chose to review it. All opinions expressed are my own.
What hooked me on this story right off the bat? Quinn is a magazine editor who just can't help herself: she corrects people's grammar under her breath or feels the need to run away when a conversation gets too grammatically off-track. Too funny. Quinn is on assignment to get the dirt on self-made millionaire Cooper Anderson. She wants to succeed with this story, because her job is on the line and she fears her boss, whom she's nicknamed "Cruella." But when she shows up at Cooper's house, she finds him packing to leave the country, putting his home on the market and trying to find a permanent home for the toddler who was just delivered to him after the death of Cooper's ex: a child he never even knew he had. But Quinn has secrets too: she grew up in that neighborhood and ran away from it several years ago, putting her family's country ways -- and her father's serious health problems -- behind her. A fun story, a clean romance, and characters you can easily enjoy. Well done.
Crystal Walton has done it again! You can't help but fall in love with Cooper and Quinn, the two main characters of this heart wrenching/warming story of these two with heavy self-imposed burdens that only the other will be able to lift. Cooper keeps his personal/family life close to his chest and Quinn has her own secrets and regrets she can't let go of. Laugh out loud as you are drawn into the lives of Cooper, Quinn and Brayden and learn of all three of their past. Read how they learn to let go of fear and anxiety, shedding the misconceptions of what they think they haven't lived up to and see yourself in both characters. You will love reading this book and her first two in this series. You won't want to put it down! Looking forward to Book 4!!!
I was given an advanced readers copy to read from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.
Due to a case of mistaken identity, Quinn is allowed into the inner sanctum of Cooper, who does his best to evade reporters. Not only does she get into his house, she is invited into his life as nanny to Brayden, his baby.
This touching story is full of mistaken identity, embarrassing parents, and secrets. It started out well and continued to hold my interest.
Quinn is great fun. She is bubbly and dances as she bakes.
My favorite phrase from the book is "Dancing with the dragonflies". Just Maybe this could have been the title of the book. :-)
*sigh* that feeling when you get to the end of the book and realize you have to return to real life. Quinn and Cooper are amazingly flawed, broken, and seeking people who are perfect for each other and together. Both having issues with their past, regrets, and deep grief to deal with, they found it easier to see the value in each other but not themselves. And since they couldn't see it, they couldn't believe what the other felt about them was true. How often we don't see our own value and worth outage if what we do. Both characters did what everyone expected of them instead of following their hearts...but life always has that critical moment where everything is reconsidered. Read long and watch them work through their personal histories and see if you're not moved to do the same.
Just Maybe is a great, clean, contemporary work of fiction. This is the third book in the Home in You series. I saw an underlying theme of redemption in this book. Both Quinn and Cooper have to face redemption in their own lives and I think that they are their own biggest stumbling blocks.
Through a misunderstanding, Quinn finds herself in a position to get the story she needs but under false pretenses. Cooper begins to see Quinn as indispensable. Quinn quickly discovers that returning to her home town is much more difficult than expected.
I really enjoyed reading Quinn and Cooper's story. Sometimes, I was cheering them on and at others I wanted to shake some sense into them. This is a great story full of poignant glimpses, missed opportunities, confrontations and redemption.
