The beautiful thing about Crystal Walton’s writing is that you can relate so easily to them. They draw you in and you don’t want them to end. They could be real people facing real problems that many of her readers can face. She doesn’t shy away from tough issues and struggles. I think Quinn’s family dynamic is something that a lot of people can relate to, I know I can. From craziness to brokenness, I know I can look at Quinn and easily see myself in her shoes. Cooper captured me from the beginning. (Even when I first met him in Begin Again) I love the real life battle Cooper faces with being a single parent. It was moving seeing it from the dad’s perspective and seeing a woman desperately want the best for him and his son. It’s a powerful example of how everyone deals with deep rooted personal issues but when someone cares about you, they bring out the best in you inspite of those issues. I think that’s something everyone desires in their relationships. It’s a beautiful story and you definitely will want read it more than once! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the author and chose to review it. All opinions expressed are my own.
