Noting something of worth in the feisty, hot-tempered woman, the creature steals off with her, heading deep into the woods with his prize.

Wilhelmina soon finds herself in the middle of a primitive looking camp of snowy white creatures, on some kind of alternate plane, realizing quickly that she's just unwillingly participated in some kind of bridal hunt.

Is Wilhelmina fated to be an Abominable snow beastie's bride? Or can she find her way back home before it's too late?

This was so much fun!
Sure, it wasn't a literary masterpiece (the writing was repetitive, the editing left a lot to be desired, and the heroine's perpetual inner ramblings grated on my nerves). There were a few graphic descriptions that freaked me out , but for the most part I was oddly charmed by those weird, hairy yetis and their strange menage romance.

"Meanie smart," he said thoughtfully. "Beautiful," he sighed after a moment, nuzzling my neck affectionately. "Veck likes Meanie spirit. Big spirit, little body."

I can't believe I'm saying this but I HATED THIS!!!!!!

I LOVED,LOVED,LOVED "Of Another Dimension " and "just Her Luck" but despite foe the guys kinda looked like "demons" with their red skin and horns etc. even the worst of them were absolute perfect gentlemen than this convoluted BULLSHIT!!!! Seriously WTF/WTH!!!! Kidnapping was one thing but the was total and utter BS!!! Either Mina is a smart aleck badass that sticks up for herself or she's a total F'ing doormat that rolls over and takes what ever they dish out!!! She can't b both and yet she was... Her 1st sexual contact with Veck wasn't force seduction but it still didn't feel right and her 1st sexual encounter with that bastard Kirch definitely felt like w forced seduction scenario all the while Bia ( who definitely was NO KIEVE the very sweet and caring 1st mate in "Of Another Dimension" ) Veck acted like her being mistreated was funny while Kirch was Calling her Bad Meanie ( coz the idiot can't say Mina) like she was a dog or something tripping to get her to say she was his like the deeply ignorant and brutish cave creature he acted like.... She didn't want him when he practically forced himself on her ,( was disgusting) then suddenly she kinda horny and goes along with it. What the Hell? And all the BS and lies of omission that constant were going on that she never really pushed ? Veck more or less lied to her about the portal ,I mean as horrible as Kirch was he took that skank Candy back home all the while Veck made it sound like it wasn't possible but when Mina found out did she say anything to him? Aaaaaaaaaa No, didn't even get upset he'd lied to her... Then there's all the mating BS that's never really explained and No one is held accountable for ,and one tells out poor STUPID !!!! And sometimes willingly clueless h that ANY and all kindness accepted by a unmated male can turn them into your new mate... WTF/WTH Veck is uber possessive of Mina one minute and next serving her up for what is damn near forced seduction WHF?!?!?? After her 1st " sexual" encounter Veck I was honestly turned off ,I CAN NIT STAND when woman give into sex in a book that don't really seem to want but do coz she seem suddenly horny .... It just didn't feel right, one minute she's happily in a "friends only " place with Veck seemingly no matter bye rest in sex with him then suddenly gives in when he seems to force the issue ,I didn't like that at all.... It felt soo convoluted, she felt like a puppet to their cave mannish whims ,nothing was ever what it seemed with these bastards all half truths and lies of omission and then them expecting her to dance to their warped tune and damned if she didn't ;(
After loving two of Ms.Lynn's books soo very very much I'd hoped I'd NEVER find a book of hers didn't enjoy ..... Soo I gave this a try despite the reviews... I'm very disappointed and I'll be cautious from now on, I soo HATED this book... No strong h here just a confused convoluted idiot who was full brash bravado one minute and BS the next ;(

This book doesn’t deserve even 1 star, so no rating for this one, and I’ll keep the review as short as possible.

The worst book I’ve ever read, sorry, flipped and skipped through, in my life.

Avoid it!

You’re welcome.

4.5 Purrrrrr for me Loverboy Stars

Let's just say that Human Males go pale in comparison to these Alien MC's once you read this one! Absolutely loved every part of this book. The MC's are human like with white fur all over with cat/bear like characteristics. Never thought I'll find a man purring for you sexy as hell but then again I've always been a cat person & it was only a matter of time a brilliant erotic author such as Jeanette Lynn would combine the two & make one hell of a sexy read!

I loved the sparring and the dynamic between the males who mated with Mina (our lucky bitch of a heroine) and her bond with her alien mates. The only reason I took off half a star is becos my first read of this author was Of Another Dimension, the story line was slightly similar but I found that the Heroine in that book had a similar personality to Mina. Just wished that Mina was abit different. Instead it felt more like it was the same girl in another lifetime. But that’s just my thoughts.

I wish I could've found some pics of hot dudes with white furry skin who resembled the hot male casts in this book but after endless browsing, I got nothing! So use your imaginations Folks!

It was a Fantastic Read! A Definite Recommend!! Can't wait to try out other books off Ms. Lynn's.
Check out my shelves above if you need further encouragement!

More thorough review to come. This book was too good to skimp on that.

This was a fantastic read. I actually read it free, but enjoyed it so much I purchased a copy. I'm torn on how many stars. I really want to give this one 5 stars but as I've just read another one from this same author and intend to give that one 5 stars....I worry that I'm falling into a 'fan-girl-squee' zone.

So I'm going to back off, re-read and re-evaluate the stars in a week or two to see if I feel the same.

I know I put this on my "MC-Aliens" shelf - but I'm not certain that's quite valid. Mina gets rescued/kidnapped by a Bigfoot type creature with white fur all over it's body. It takes her through a "portal" to another world/dimension where there is a large village of bigfoots (Big feet?) with white fur. There is no spacecraft or futuristic technology involved. Just strange creatures not of earth, talk of a "portal" and how time runs differently on the bigfoot side of the portal.

Mina was one of those heroines who gets kidnapped, thinks clearly, makes a couple good of escape attempts, but once she acceots her fate, there's no tantrums. She even has a good sense of humor about it.

Erotica, Polyamory, HEA.
Totally Recommended, fantastic story with a minor antagonist arch.

Wouldn't it bother you if your husband/mate butchered your name and called you Meanie for the rest of your life? Although it sort of fit because I could not understand Mina's allure (other than being willing to have sex with all of them) and she just seemed to be expecting them to cater to her every desire. Also, maybe she had nothing important to go back to but what about any of the other kidnapped women? No mention was made of her getting to know any of them (other than Bia's mom). How did she not connect Candy and George to when someone started hurting the snowmen? The abominable snowmen's world (? planet? plane of existence? remote corner of our world?) wasn't well-drawn. I have no idea what their customs are (other than kidnapping women from Earth), how that portal came about, how they reproduced before. Were there any abominable snow women? None were mentioned. Is it just that one village? What happened to Candy? Did Mina ever deign to learn their language? (It didn't seem like it but it's hard to tell.) Also, how many times did she get a chance to shoot George and didn't take it?!?! Ugh.

I do not recommend this story unless you're looking for a lot of sex and a ridiculous plot that's barely thought out.

Not nearly as good as some of the other books this author has written. Just a few things that irritated me...
1. Mina's ex-fiance is just an absolutely AWFUL person mostly because she catches him cheating on her in the very beginning (like page 3 so its not REALLY a spoiler). Then it is completely glossed over when Mina does the exact same thing to her 'husband'... There are just a TON of double standards like this where its just terrible for someone to say/do whatever to Mina but then she does/says even worse and its like no big deal.
2. I also find it super annoying when in these menage type books the guys WORSHIP the girl. I mean to like an insane level. She's a bitch and yet they should apologize. They do something to show that they care about her and her reaction is more like 'damn straight. Finally.'
3. Mina is a freakin nympho.
4. Lastly, for me at least, it's hard to find these completely hairy (like a yeti/aboninable snowman hairy) beasts that don't speak in complete sentences attractive at all...
I just had a lot higher expectations.

Started off great with the promise of great , wonderful furriness but then it became endless cycle of smut sex . No story it was boring plus hate it when in manage relationships the other guys start to doodle the heroine yuk. I mean it cute to deep love, care, take care of your partner. But the full on coddling like saying you can pee on my face and i'll still lick your feet nonsense is unbelievable.

3.9 Furry Stars!

Let me just say that after I read Lynn's book Of Another Dimension, it was tough for me to rate this one.
Firstly because I loved that story and secondly because the expectations were high.
This was not easy for me and that's why I waited so long to review it.

description

The story is about Wilhelmina. A woman who was deceived by her fiance and decides to get away from him as soon as she can. She takes a trip to a cabin alone. Of course, George(ex-fiance) pursues her and things get a little crazy. In a cold furry white yeti sort of way...
description
A creature who saves her from an insane ex only to take her away from everything she knows.

I liked this story. It had humor, sexual tension, an interesting premise and an awesome heroine.
I loved Willy, she was normal and very relatable as a character,
As always Jeannette Lynn has that talent to make interesting heroines without them becoming a mary sue or too whiny. And her secondary characters and heroes are well described and inserted into the story.
She has a talent to make them truly different and compel you to understand each one. You remember their personalities, their quirks and it's so easy to remember them because they find a place in your heart as you get to know them.
The plot was pretty simple. But the story has you wondering at each turn and manages to hook your interest from the start. It flowed nicely and had an exquisite pace.
The story itself didn't get to me as much as my first Lynn book, to be honest.
Menages are not my thing. Still, I try once in a while... And this author was the first to actually make me see this in a different light. I never would've thought that a menage could be good until Of Another Dimension came into my life. So this is a tough genre for me to rate...
But this was ok.
I wasn't fawning over it nor was I displeased. It was just entertaining enough to enjoy. Inevitably I can't help compare it to OAD because it was sooo good!
I didn't buy the romance or the relationships, but it was fun to read them anyway.

One thing for sure this was hot and sizzling erotica at its peak!
description
Another thing that bothered was that was so easy to guess what was going to happen. It was just too simple and I didn't like the ending at all. HEA for sure! But it was soooo predictable!
In the end, I find myself realizing that this installment wasn't as good as I thought it would be... and though I love this author I have to be honest in saying this is not her best work.
I still recommend it though, because it's an enjoyable read.

Reverse harem fun by Jeanette Lynn you say... I’m on it!

After she catches her ( apparantly stalker ) ex getting some ‘extracurricular’ fluffing by his busty pa.... Mina decides to ditch him... he’s a stalker and apparantly does not take no and more rude versions of ‘stuff off’ to actually mean him.

He shows up at at the romantic cabin holiday retreat that Mina had planned for him, just for Mina to escape his evil clutches and find herself being kidnapped or bride napped rather by an abominable snowman...what follows is a great fun read and lots of rumpus between Mina and her new ‘mates’.

Another great fantasy read by this author. I liked the interaction between the different mates, I’m amazed they all survived her mixed signals.

2.5 stars.

There are plenty of triggers in this book and I would not recommend if kidnaping, stalking and abuse take you to unwanted memories or feelings.

There were lots of holes in the plot. I actually felt that it was flat and at times slow paced.

The sex is great! But, I just felt this book was lacking. I especially did not like Will/Willy/Mina/Meanie/Wilhelmina’s personality. (Yes, she goes by all these names and more!)

Such a funny, entertaining, and sexy read! I loved all of 'Meanie's' beasties. Jeanette Lynn totally made the abominable snowman sexy, and it was so hard to choose a favorite. I still can't! I laughed out loud multiple times reading this, and highly recommend.

Another great read by one of my new favorite authors and I'll be checking for new ones on a regular basis! This is a great erotica menage paranormal book that's pretty much a feel-good though it does have a little bit of a Big Bad that makes for some intense moments but not overwhelmingly so. Sometimes it's nice to not have to worry about the other shoe dropping while reading.

Quick Rundown: Chick catches her fiancee cheating and escapes on pre-planned romantic vacation for Christmas- alone- to get away from his nonsense when she gets abducted by Sasquatch. Taken through a portal by this white, hunky and hairy humanoid/beastie, chick finds herself in a caveman-like village of Sasquatches who came to her realm to find brides as they've stopped producing female offspring. This chick is a go-getter and certainly tries to find a way out of the situation but like other reviewers have pointed out, she accepts her fate pretty realistically and through a process and not insta-lust/love. Her place in the community changes and grows. She falls for her captors and we have another great HEA from this author.

World Building: Since we are still on an Earth plane so to speak, there's not too much work in imagining this world but the author paints a good one regardless. The village and the culture are developed well and were very interesting.

Characters: Ahhh, this author does characters so well--I mean, she made Sasquatch hot...and more than one at that! They weren't hot to begin with, she developes them into lovable "guys" so no beastiality going on here. Being my second read by this author, I was afraid that the Chick would be just a formula. She wasn't. She was amusing, strong, smart-mouthed, compassionate but still an individual. The Sasquatch dudes were all different and they evolved along with the book. They weren't as one dimensional as they come off as in the beginning. And again, there wasn't insta-love with these characters. Yes, it's a menage but it developed organically and felt realistic...well, as realistic as a book about sasquatches is going to get. And the language barrier was believable which a lot of authors gloss over with an implant or a quick passage of time.

Plot: This book is mainly about the Chick adapting to her new life and how it changes as time goes by but we do get a little action/suspense in the end. The Big Bad has a smaller role here than in most novels and while it's hinted at that something is coming down, it doesn't absorb the whole story-line so this is mostly just a feel good novel. And the Big Bad was just intense enough for just the right amount of time.

Overall: I loved it. Loved all the characters, loved the good and the bad, loved the love. One thing I really appreciate is a great writing style that's not plagued by an "obvious fault". What I mean by that is that some authors ALWAYS have too much inner dialogue or their dialogue isn't realistic and those "faults" show up in all of their books. This author writes really well and no obvious quirks or faults. She writes so well that I'm surprised she's not more popular. She certainly deserves to be. Check out, "Of Another Dimension" for another great read from Ms. Lynn. And I'll beg again, Ms. Lynn, MORE, MORE, MORE of this genre!!!

What. The freak. Did I just read.

I can’t. I can’t. I just can’t. Would give this 0 stars if I could. I normally don’t rate/review books that I don’t finish because I feel like it’s not fair of me to rate something I didn’t make an earnest attempt to get through. I’ve more or less skimmed through a lottt of books or read only chunks of them, and I haven’t left ratings for them because I didn’t read the whole thing. But this...

I tried. Honestly, I tried. And I swear I didn’t even make it through the very first scene. Not exaggerating, I stopped before the first scene was even over. And despite some of the other reviews, I am in NO way inclined to skim through to see if it magically gets any better. I have NO desire to even try to barrel through this.

The writing is atrocious. Incredibly juvenile, reads like *bad* fanfic (I want to make the distinction between good and bad clear. I am in no way demeaning fanfic—I read and write it myself!), riddled with cliches left and right (i.e. OW is skinny and so, of course, is called a skeleton, OW calls MC fat, yada yada), and unbelievable, unrealistic, and downright laughable dialogue. And the overly enthusiastic punctuation. Oh, my poor eyes. I understand there’s more allowance for these things when it’s 1st person POV, but I’ve never been a fan of the obnoxious overuse of the exclamation point in books. Again, my poor eyes.

So, SO disappointed. The premise sounded intriguing and I was really looking forward to it. Look, I love my erotica and steamy romances. But I also like good writing. Not just like—NEED. And these two things combined are very much possible. Harder to find, unfortunately, because of all the garbage out there to sort through, but they exist, and I want to sing their praises to the skies whenever I find a well-written one because I know how rare they are. This...this ain’t it.

Now please excuse me, I need to go rinse out my eyes. That, or just gouge them out along with the chunk of my brain that houses any memory of ever setting eyes on this book.

Another strange yet addictive book from Jeanette Lynn. I love her weird and wonderful creations and knack for making weird into sexy, hilarious female characters and stubbornly hot males. Also, one woman with all those males. Whew!

Who would have thought that being kidnapped by horny hairy snow beasts would be a story I'd inhale from atart to finish. Not me. But since reading Of Another Dimension, Jeanette has got me hooked on her work.

The story is fun, creative, random as hell and has some smoking sex scenes. Kirch is my favourite. Damn, woman what are you doing to me?

EDIT: the updates really polished up the book with newly added scenes and dialogue. It almost had that new book feeling which was a shock and delight all at once to have with a familiar story. I loved it

I enjoyed the premise but I wanted more information.

Some parts dragged a little; like when Mina is hiding in the caves at first.
It was fun getting to know Veck, Bia and even Kirch grew on me after a while.

Really fun book. I had read another book by this author. It was good, about average. This book was above average. I loved how the heroine wasn't a sassy, tell them like it is, woman. I loved the guys although I don't think #4 was really necessary and didn't add much to the book. But overall I really enjoyed reading this book.

TW/CW: Kidnapping, drugging, partner violence, obsessive stalker ex

This older work of Lynn's is...okay. It's not great, but it's not as terrible as a lot of the lower ratings would have led me to believe. It is full of typos and grammar errors, to the point that it's distracting at times. This is certainly not her at her best or most shiny. And I realized I said something very similar about her other portal romance I read (Of Another Dimension), and have come to accept that maybe I will sit those out if a third proves that she has a formula for these and heroine type that isn't my jam. Shame on me if I keep coming back and expecting something different if there's a set pattern. But when I love her work, I really love it and keep looking for my next hit.

The first 25% of this book is the worst of it, full of cringe-worthy drama and ugly inner monologue that makes you question your choice to read this work, but if you can trudge through until conditions improve, the rest is quite a bit more enjoyable to read. I, strangely enough, kept thinking of Looney Tunes and specific characters when I read this one.

So, the elephant in the room: our heroine, Meanie—the most accurate name for her, since other than remorse for , she doesn't seem to have a sympathetic or kind bone in her body. Meanie's only true concern is Meanie. Everyone else is collateral. Now, I really dislike saccharine, syrupy heroines, but I also like a heroine to be sharp if she can't have some other redeeming qualities. Meanie's insult game kept flashing me back to my younger years in the mid-80s and this guy in particular.

It can not be unheard. Every time she started with her, "Unhand me, you ____!" I kept hearing it in Daffy's annoying voice and cadence. You're welcome for that thought.

But.

Her mates are all pretty awesome and fun to read, and once Meanie is feeling less antagonistic, some of her banter with them is fun rather than just mean. I had a good chuckle every time one of them pulled a fast one on her and manipulated her into taking him on. I would have loved to know more about the actual culture and history of these puckish giants, since being sneaky and sly seems to be something they grow up learning. (And where are the women for their species? There didn't seem to be any.) She falls for it 3 times and never catches on or bothers educating herself to know better. The sex scenes are all steamy and fun to read, though once it started, that's mostly all there was.

The pacing for this story is done pretty well. It doesn't tarry too long and get bogged down, but it doesn't sprint either. The main story takes place over the course of months in the place she's taken—which is many times longer in our world—and while the males themselves are pretty instalovey, Meanie takes a bit longer but is actually mostly reasonable about it after she gets over her sourness and accepts she isn't going back to Earth. (With her first mate, anyway.) Those who hate the hours-to-days courtships might find this story more palatable, since two of the romances take months to really get going. I like the idea behind this story quite a lot,

And lastly...was a villain named George an intentional joke in a story about abominable snowmen? Because...

If it was, I give that one a thumb's up for sneaking in a LT reference.

Mina/Meanie catches her fiancé with his secretary one day when she pops in at the office to surprise him with a weekend getaway. She decides to go on the getaway by herself, and it ends up changing her life forever when she's stolen away by an abominable snowman and he runs through a portal with her taking her to his dimension to be his mate.

So this wasn't really an alien or space book, since it was another dimension. Where the men looked like Yeti's... I had a hard time getting passed that. Big white hairy guys with completely covered except their hands and their feet and their face.

I don't know how I keep getting these reverse harem books without realizing it but for some reason I either miss it in the description or its not there. But this is another one of those books where everyone falls in love with the main lady. I have a hard time giving books like this a lot of stars for some reason. Because I just can't get over the whole alpha male being okay with sharing.

BUT this is the second book I have read from this author, and she really does a great job at giving all the characters different personalities and dynamics in the relationship. She makes you like all of the guys and WANT them to be together. I don't know how she does it.

I liked all the characters. I even liked George. She did a good job making him a lunatic. I almost felt bad for him because he was so twisted in the head, and his way of thinking was so wrong, but he didn't know it.

I thought Mina had a lot of spark in her. I like characters that stand out like that.

For adult readers due to explicit sexual content.
Mina is engaged to George, but lately things have felt a little stale, so she goes to his work to surprise him with a surprise mountain getaway. Nina gets to George's office and walk right in, since the boss help her with the surprise, and what did she see but George's secretary's lips wrapped around his penis! WTF? Well, after going nuclear from the office tho the parking lot and making it clear to George that they were done, George won't except it and decided they are still getting married! There's a huge scene in the parking lot, George gets arrested, Mina goes to the mountains by herself. Mina thinks this is her third for a break, but psycho George shows up and while she's running away from him, she get kidnapped by a yeti....well crap!
I really like the originality of have a village of yeti! The world the author built for Veck takes this reader to a place of beauty and relaxation, no wonder he goes there to think. Each of the yeti have there place the group.
Mina is a great character. She is witty, spunky, funny, sarcastic and brave. The bridal hunt will make you laugh. It'll make wonder, "now what?" . I think Jeanette Lynn has put together a great story that has action, romance, great characters, and an interesting storyline.
The one complaint I have, and it's pure personal preference, I think adding Tanrk was one to many, it just throws of the dynamic of the group.
I totally recommend this one and book two is already out!

The Bridal Hunt is a fun read! I love when you can tell that the author had as much fun penning the book as you did reading it. The MC heroine is our only POV and her humorous, self-depreciating, doesn't-suffer-fools mentality sets the tone for the entire story. Me personally, I loved her. Her wit turns the entire circumstance of the story (kidnapped by Abominable Snowmen) into a fun ride. This is NOT a dark tale where we get mired down in psyche, which I think is a nice addition the genre because there still needs to be light, fun stories. Her leading men (this is MMMMF) strike the balance of being sweet, manly, and sexy. Their besotted devotion to her had me crushing on them so hard. Definitely recommend.
