4.4stars.
This was surprisingly good.
I say surprising mainly because I didn’t have a ton of luck with most of the other books in the series.
I don’t know why. Most of the authors are ones I have loved other books from.

I wasn’t disappointed with this one though.
The sex was hot, with plenty of Dirty talk to spice it up.
The relationships were insta-love, mate bonds, so they were quick to develop but they were also super sweet and I enjoyed them.
The plot was sort of a murder mystery with a few paranormal twists. So the was interesting and cool to read.

I had a good time.
I’m glad I didn’t give up on the whole series after reading some bad books in it.

You already know this book is going to be incredible.

Albany Walker. Motorcycle club. Reverse harem. Gargoyles. Demons. Fallen. INTRIGUE.

Ugh. Say less.

In the beginning, it's pretty obvious Lore is a very underrated baddie. She likes being underestimated and, subsequently, alone.

Add in a lust demon prince that's known she was his mate for a hot second but held off telling her to better acclimate to her needs (SWOON).

Then add a mute fallen angel that likes to dominate her and destroy their enemies🥵 he's my favorite. For obvious reasons.

THEN add in a gargoyle that doubles as a stubborn alphahole that wants to bubblewrap her whenever she leaves the bedroom.

Oh. And add to all that a murder mystery that needs solving and all guilty parties immediate BLOODY death. 😁

Yup. Perfection.

It took very little time for me to get sucked into this awesome story. Heroine Lore is the last remaining female gargoyle and only daughter of the Obsidian MC president. After her father goes missing Lore has no choice but to take on her fathers role until she can find him. Holding the reins is something Lore never wanted but she’ll stop at nothing to figure out what happened to him. Along the way Lore finds her mates and builds her harem. In this respect the story moves rather quickly and the momentum barely lets up, with the book as a whole taking up no more than a couple weeks. Turned out to be a pretty quick but very enjoyable read!

Epic Genre Fail. DNF 88%

I started this series [all diff authors], because of the PNR MC plots, not the RH, but I’d hoped that would be a fun addition [only one I’ve partially enjoyed was B2 so far].

Hard noPe on all accounts with this one.

The FMC has a clear hierarchy of favourites from most to least.
Unless the MMC’s are total submissive’s, this won’t work.
As an additional personal issue, it was all sex, and no relationship development, no steam, no romance.

As for the MC: the president [FMC], failed to take care of the club, killed without justification, failed to protect the members, and behaved more like a villain that needed to be put down.
Add on the fact that she was running around doing work better delegated, instead of work that couldn’t be, and not only is she a dictator, but a lousy one of those as well.

Nearing the end, I just got frustrated and bored, couldn’t even be bother to skim the end, the FMC was just so unlikeable and the whole focus of the story, sooo..🤷‍♀️

The only reason this is getting 2 and not less, is for the technical competency of the writing. I’m sure there are readers who will enjoy this regardless of all the genre fails.
But personally, I found it to be nothing but messy sociopathic narcissism. I figure the only reason it’s a RH is so the FMC can have more chasing after her, telling her how perfect, badass, and desirable she supposedly is [despite making her least wait and wait to have sex even once, while she continues to f*ck her fav. Even her torture victim gives her a look of adoration right before she kills him 🥱🙄].

Bleh. This author tried waaaaaay to hard to make the MFC tough and bad ass and it showed. Very annoying. She wasn’t likable at all. She literally murdered anyone who even slightly angered her. She treated all of her people like shit and it’s supposed to come off as “wow she’s such a powerful leader” no she’s a bully who doesn’t know how to rule without fear. HATED her. And her attitude of “I don’t need anyone ever” was so tiring. I’ll take the mushy insta love no plot in sight book over this bull shit.

Modeus carried this book on his back. Also, 3 mates and they never all sleep together? A hate crime. 1 star.

Prepare to be blown away by this novel. It's a masterpiece, crafted by the brilliant mind of Albany Walker. With a thrilling mix of motorcycles, reverse harem romance, and supernatural beings like demons, fallen angels, and even gargoyles, this story has it all. And let's not forget about our fierce protagonist Lore, who is unlike any "baddie" I've ever encountered. Add in a lust demon prince who will make your heart flutter and a mute fallen angel with a dominating presence (swoon!), and you've got yourself the perfect romantic dynamic. Hold on, there's more! We also have a tough and protective gargoyle who will do anything to keep Lore safe - every girl's dream. And if that wasn't enough, there's also a gripping murder mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. And trust me, when the guilty parties are met with their bloody fate, it's utterly satisfying. Albany Walker truly outdoes herself with this one - a must-read for all fans of dark fantasy!

not my cup of tea.

This book was not my cup of tea. The fmc is a murderer plain and simple. She kills everyone that even slightly angers her. It was well written so that gives it two stars. It had much more sex then I care for as I just wanted the story to move on. In addition, the fmc seemed to definitely have a favorite mate, which is not acceptable in a reverse harem book.

3 Stars - Standalone

I liked this book well enough, but I didn’t like it nearly as much as the first two of this series. I’m not sure I can even pinpoint what this book was missing.

I’m not sure I liked the FMC that much. On the surface she seems like the kind of female I would adore. She’s badass, she’s a leader, and she’s a fighter. She doesn’t let men dictate to her or push her around…so what was it about her that put me off? I’m not sure. She seemed a bit too desperate for sex, even in super inappropriate and unbelievable situations. Or maybe it was something about her demeanor? Maybe her character wasn’t fleshed out enough? Where was her backstory? Nothing besides what she does in the present is ever mentioned.

Maybe it was the ending that put me off. It didn’t feel like we got good enough closure about the murder of her dad. The bad guys didn’t suffer enough, the final fight scene was over too quickly. The ending was too abrupt. I don’t know. Something was missing here.

Maybe what was missing about this book had to do with the men. We don’t know anything about them besides what they show us in the present. They don’t have personalities besides protectiveness and sex. We know nothing about them. They don’t have backstories. I’m curious about them, they seem like they could be interesting people…but we get no answers about them at all.

I don’t know why, but this book missed the mark for me.

- Multiple POV’s
- No MM
- 3 men in harem: demon prince, fallen angel, and gargoyle
- FMC is a gargoyle
- 6/5 steam rating…there was a bit too much sex. Surprising, huh? This was the steamiest of the series so far.
- Slow build harem
- FMC is the Prez of the MC
- triggers: death of parent, deaths of prominent side characters, betrayal, murder, torture (not of h/H), blood/gore
- Fated Mates
- Disabilities: one of her mates is mute
- the timespan of this book is fairly short, takes place over less than two weeks

Stone Will starts off with Lore, a gargoyle, discovering her father, president of the Obsidian Angels MC has gone missing. Lore is made President in his absence, but goes searching for her father and what happened to him and along the way finds her three mates. Although I've read stories with angels and demons before, and have read shifter books, I had not read stories with other kinds of "monsters" so wasn't sure what I'd make of this at first. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I loved that Lore is very much able to take care of herself and hold her own in any situation and she is paired with mates that are just as tough as her, but they also, most of the time, know that she can fend for herself. I love how Albany Walker is able balance that in a way where the mates still come off very alpha and gruff and domineering at times. As Stone Will progresses, the story becomes more complicated and involved as they work to unravel what happened and I loved that it wasn't easy or obvious to figure out exactly what happened. I know there are other books in the MC Syndicates series, each by different authors, but I'm also hoping we will see more of the Obsidian Angels as well!

“More mates means we can better assure your safety, your satisfaction.”

The last female gryphon goes in search of his missing dad, leaving his MC vulnerable. His protege, a former Prince of Hell, the Lust demon Modeus comes along, knowing she is his mate. Along the way, they run into a fallen angel, Egan. Together, they form a bond and still look for her father and answers.

This focuses more on the world building and story vs the relationship building so if you want to fall in love, I would come back to this!

Quite a pleasant book: fast- paces plot, strong and independent heroine, charming MMCs alongside suspenseful mystery and a rather intriguing investigation that kept me interested throughout.
I am really enjoying the MC Syndicates' world as it combines my love for the supernatural as well as my newly discovered obsession with motorcycle clubs.
The characters are rather well developed though I would have loved a bit more information on the fallen as he completely captivated me.The relationships develop fast, but that is to be expected when there are fated mates involved.
Overall, I found the writing quite good and despite the fact that I have quite a few books on my TBR by Albany Walker, this is the first time that I have read anything by her and without a doubt I would be getting acquainted with some of her other books.

I was looking forward to listening this book . It’s part of a syndicate world. But it’s stand alone. This is a reverse harem/menege trope. Our heroine finds out her father is missing. She’s also the last of Gryphon female. One of her mates knows she’s his mate but she doesn’t know it . Why traveling to find her father she finds out . He’s also the prince in the demon world . Our heroine needs to find out who in the club house betrayed them and turned her father to stone . Along the way our heroine finds out who her other mates are .
The performance of Jacob Morgan, Marnye Young is fantastic. You can’t get any better them them. Their tone for each character is great. You were able to tell who was who

If Albany Walker writes it I know I’m going to love it and Stone Will was no exception. What I really liked about this PNR RH is that she didn’t know any of her mates and the mates didn’t know each other. While some of them knew of each other they were from different areas in this world. Now I do have the previous two books in this series that is being written by different authors but I have not read them yet. This makes me want to go back and read those. I can’t wait to see what Albany releases next!

I love this book!!!!!

I was lucky and won an ARC of this on tiktok, and holy crap I'm OBSESSED!!!

Lore is part of The Obsidian Angels MC, and is trying to figure out what happened to her father, Harlow. She is the last female gargoyle shifter and is collecting her mates, trying to solve the mystery and dealing with traitors in the club.

I was glued to the pages!! The plot keeps you guessing and the spice is HOT!!! I couldn't get enough of Lore, Modems, Egan, and Cyrus.

Stone Will is an awesome paranormal reverse harem read!!

Loved lore!

Really liked this story. Loved Lore and her guys. Wish Cyrus had some more screen time, I didn't feel like we got to know him much and he had little to add. Also the end felt rushed to me. The build up was so good, had me hanging on the edge and them boom, all done. Bad guys taken care off. I honestly don't know what I would have wanted but I wanted more. Would have loved an epilouge, but that's because I'm greedy lol

Absolutely loved every bit of this story. So much great heat, along with a really good story. I'm a little in love with all three of Lore's men. A standalone book can be hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit. The story had depth and emotion, the characters were well developed, just a truly entertaining read.

Entertaining book

I liked this book. It moved along at a fast pace. I wasn’t a fan how quickly she figured out who murdered her dad. It was amped up so much that I expected more than a few pages on who it was. I did really like the story. I loved how she collected her men at different times. I also loved the multiple povs.

Stone Will: Obsidian Angels MC, a standalone story in the MC Syndicates series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). While the book is numbered as four in a series, each book can be read in any order. This may be my favorite story line yet in this wonderful series. I enjoyed the characters, dialog, and plot. I;ll be looking for more books by this author.

Love the FMC!

I can count on Albany Walker to always have such entertaining characters. This book has Gargoyles, Demons, Fallen Angels, and just about every other supernatural you can think of. This collection just keeps getting better with each book I read. I love that they are all WhyChoose/PNR with sassy FMC’s and hot MMC’s. 18+ 4.25/stars

After her father goes missing, Lore, with the assistance of her mates, seek to discover the truth. This harem of mates are precious. Their instant take to each other is refreshing to rejection or enemies to lovers. The end goal is to solve the mystery and please Lore.

The main characters in this story were horrible. They’re the powerful ruling mafia and anyone who disrespects, disagrees, or otherwise steps out of line winds up dead. Or tortured and dead. And somehow the author tries to portray them as badass and cool but nope they’re just bullies.

The newest addition to the MC Syndicate world is a fantastic paranormal motorcycle club read. The story is an interesting blend of mystery and Fated Mates romance. The author has created characters who are multi dimensional. The book is filled with action and high levels of steam

sadly lacking

After really enjoying the others in the shared world this just wasn’t up to the same standard. The ending was rushed, the relationships had no chance to really get going. More $€x over substance for majority of it.

Stone Will

I loved this fmc. Not sure why she's getting so much hate. Is it because she's a female essentially in a male role as a leader/lover doing things the same way they would. Takes no s#!t attitude. I thought she was awesome. I loved her guys. It would be great to have a prequel written about her father's story leading up to when Lore took over the MC.
