For Sophia Antonelli, anything is better than spending twenty-five years in jail, even being mated to not one, but three Viken warriors.

Her Viken mates believe claiming an Interstellar Bride will be easy, especially if she's matched to all three of them. But they don't expect her to be kidnapped during transport. When Sophia is caught in the crossfire of an evil organization determined to assassinate the Viken queen, it will take all three of them to save her.

Bad. So unbelievably bad. I am very disappointed over the lack of plot, the insta love, the insta surrender, the two day wait to say I love you, to go from never having an orgasm to performing in a sex club the very next day?? wtf??? I can't believe I had high hopes for this one.

2/2.5 stars

There was a lot of time spent by each male character describing (internally) why they would never love their mate for this to turn into an insta-love story. There was also a lot of time by the male characters internally reviewing their previous (and ongoing) conquests, which gave their "fine we'll take a mate because we have to but we won't love her" stance a little icky. I don't love manwh0re characters, but ones that want to change can make for a compelling story...this didn't really have that. It was like yeah we F'ed a ton of females and could have more at the drop of a hat, but we'll just have our mate now. I don't know, maybe I'm over sensitive, but that kind of mindset while you're literally waiting for your mate to transport into the room is just...bleh.

There was a lot of internal monologue driving the background of the characters without them actually having conversations and building relationships. None of the males talked about their pasts, hopes, etc. on page it all happened off page and the female main character just reiterated when it suited her expressing her feelings.

I liked the concept of the characters individually, but I don't think the full potential for their connection was ever made and they never felt fully fleshed out. It was just insta-lust/insta-love with a tiny dash of danger, which was disappointing since the story started with a lot of potential.

Just a random thought throughout...and maybe I missed it somewhere in the story, but how did their "seed" magically have bonding properties and how did that get activated just with her and not the other multitude of women they had been with? Or does it always have that property? I'm going to say no for my own sanity because I just can't...

3.5 RATING - I've got to be honest here. Mated to the Vikens is pure alien romance smut. Exactly like every other book in this series BUT...I've gotten a little hooked. I liked the beginning of this one a bit better than some of the others so that's why the book rated a little higher. I liked that the heroine was in danger and the heroes were concerned about her before ever meeting her. The set up just worked for me. These books are such a guilty pleasure for me I almost hate to admit I like them but I do but I understand the low ratings from those that don't. Alien smut is not for everyone =)

One note: I've been reading thru the series when I can pick up books on sale and when I can borrow them through SCRIBD. $4.95 a book is pretty steep for me when I have so many books unread in my library. I wish the author had more sales but am happy to pick up what I can when I can.

YES! I love this planet!! It is in the running for my favorite planet part of this series. This one takes place on Viken, where there is a civil war amongst the three factions on the planet. You got to read about Viken in one of the previous books in the series & all the politics involved with it.

This one is about a new group of characters. Our heroine Sophie has been placed in the Interstellar Bride Program and matched to three warriors on Viken. However, her transport gets hijacked and she is captured by aliens on the Viken who are wanting this civil war to play out. Sophie's mates will do anything to find her and save her.

I just love this planet and its customs! I really like how we also got to see the characters who were in the previous Viken book. This was of course hot & fun also!

This is the 8th book in the Interstellar Brides series, but the second involving Vikens - a rather obvious reference to a Viking like planet. The first was, Claimed by her Mates, and was my least favorite book of the series - I found it rather silly actually. This one is better, with a heroine and heroes more likeable than the other and also more of a story. I am enjoying the overall series and this was an entertaining read, but I just don't think menages (particularly ones with more than two men) are all that interesting to me. In this case there was more distinction between the men, but the erotic scenes become a bit redundant in my opinion.

WHAT IS THIS ABOUT Egara? Sometimes I'm thinking she's part cyborg--but on the insides.

Summary: I think the books are getting more romantically dramatic or complicated, which is good. Characters more likeable, definitely the heroes are more likable in this one. I'm shocked to eventually like really Gunnar and feel for him. The ending was very touching.

What I'd like to have seen:Please make longer, more romantic twists, turns, ups-&-downs. Maybe re-edit and reissue at some later point. I'd like the Heroes have to work MORE (more suffering, hard work, emotion). Bad guys get resolved way too easily, in just a short amount of time, I wish there were more sub-assassins sent after them, then finally they finish off the top-guy. I wish the other two husbands had more chance to shine in additional content, interspersed with fighting other assassins. Or maybe sell short-story one-on-ones 8.1, 8.2, with them.

Series Overall: Usually it's sort of like the "taming of Black Beauty", where the Beasts get tamed. Therefore, lots of beastly shenanigans: anal, spanking, lots of domination, and definitely not living by USA or "Earth Rules of Conduct".

Reading Recommendation: Don't binge the series fast. I've been binging 1/day--it's addictive, and due to brain-fatigue, my perceptions seem to be more negative the more tired I am.

2-I’m-tipsy-but-if-I-wasn’t-it’d-be-rated-worse⭐️’s - this book seemed like a smutty parody of a sci-fi mated bond type of book. It went from one “plot point” to the next with barely any context. It blows my mind the rating of this book, thus far. It was the book version of Baywatch vs Babewatch… like taking an unintentionally lame TV show but making it purposely lame by turning into porn… but barely sexy porn.

Sucks because I’m not one to shy away from sexy books, but this book is embarrassing…. Not in the way of the taboo, but it’s THAT bad.

I have 30 minutes (at 1.5x speed) left in the audiobook and I’m pretty sure I’m too checked out to finish it. And I RARELY DNF books. But… it is what it is.

I read this one first out of this series and I really enjoyed it a lot. It's a quick read which is really nice. I normally don't go for multiple partners because I hate it when the male partners "take turns" and and pass her around like a favorite toy, but this wasn't the case here. This was well done and I liked that the males all worked as one rather than against each other when it came to her.

I actually liked her as a lead female as well, she didn't whine and she was as strong character. It helps to show the characters strengths when the males let them be that way rather than try to dominate their entire being rather than just try to dominate them in the bedroom.

The writing was good, but there were a few times the wording for the humans was a little weird. When they are at the club and she says "...but we did not find what we sought", that to me is a little weird wording for human speak. Another thing was that I didn't care for when she became all bravado. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she stuck to her guns and didn't take any shit, but the wording of how the Cavelli mob screwed her over every single time that she decided to not give into her fear got really repetitive and old. We get it. The mob took you into their claws and ruined your life.

The sex scenes were great, I actually read them. Normally I will read one or two and if they don't do anything for me (which is almost always) I just pass it up and skip them when they come up, didn't do that with this book. I don't know if it was because I don't read a lot of multiple partner stuff so it was a little different than usual, but they weren't bad.

I really did like this one and I think I will be making this a to-read series for me.

All Sophia wanted to do was get away from earth. Wrongly accused and sent to prison, this was her out. What better way than to be an Interstellar Bride. But not to one but to three mates. If there is one way to get three very different alien males together it is to guard the new queen and her baby and her three kings. That’s what Eric, Gunnar, and Rolf thought, until they were told that they had a mate from earth coming, for all three of them. None of them really wanted a mate, until they saw her. After a very rough start with someone wanting to kill the queen and her little girl, a mix up and going after Sophia instead, The first thing they had to do was save her. Now besides making Sophia theirs they had another job to do and that was to find out who was going after their mate. Excellent book, I love strong female characters that can stand up to three huge aliens, but also stands up for herself. This book was exciting, very steamy, and just a great happily ever after.

Grace Goodwin has ruined me for all other alien romance novels. Correction… she has ruined me for ALL romance novels. After reading her material, I find the others to be tame, dull and overall anticlimactic. I am not ashamed to admit that I have read each of her books at least twice.

The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. There is a neurological test that a bride takes to me matched to their perfect alien planet, then their perfect alien match on that planet, through a series of sexual desires that only our subconscious can answer for. Earth allows for volunteers to apply to the program, or grants female criminals the option to become a bride over a prison sentence. Those who volunteer are paid a healthy sum of money, and those who are prisoners are given clean slates. All applicants are required to give up their Earth citizenship to become a resident of their new chosen planet. A bride has 30 days to accept or reject their match. If they accept their claim, they are mated to their new alien husband for the rest of their lives where they are expected to make babies. If they reject their mate, they are assigned a new one on that same planet. Where they are still expected to make babies. Warden Egara makes continued appearances throughout the series as she is the one who processes the brides on Earth.

Written in first person, Mated to the Vikens is book 8 in this series and follows the human bride Sophia Antonelli and her alien mates Erik, Gunnar and Rolf from the planet Viken. Sophia was an art dealer, found guilty for smuggling diamonds and weapons for a powerful mafia. She did the crime, but not by choice. She initially agreed to do it in exchange for money that paid for her mother’s cancer treatment, but was ultimately blackmailed when she tried to back out. So she opted for the bride program instead of a 20-year prison sentence. Viken initiated a new practice after the successful mating between the three princes and their queen (from book 3). Now, every bride is matched to a group of three men, one from each sector. Erik was from sector 1 (weapons of a spear and shield), where family was all and they preferred anal sex and public affection. Gunnar was from sector 2 (weapons of bows and arrows), where they preferred bondage while claiming a woman’s pussy. Rolf was from sector 3 (a sword as a weapon), and members of his sector preferred oral sex. There was a mixup during Sophia’s arrival. Her transport was interrupted, the receivers trying to kidnap the new queen and her baby, but got Sophia instead. She killed her abductor, then fled to the wilds. Her mates received the queen at her portal instead of Sofia, and they tracked her down. They worked together to root out who was behind the threat by a tattoo link to a sex club. All four fall in love and live happily ever after.

Vikens are humanoid. What sets them apart from everyone else is their massive size (they’re larger than humans but smaller than Prillions), their potent cum that changes the body to accommodate their mate, and their cum is an aphrodisiac that when it comes in contact with skin, releases a pheromone to make the woman aroused and horny (and crave their partner to an extreme).

There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. This is NOT one of those books. The very first chapter gives a very clear indication of what we are in for. I’m fairly confident that there is more sexual content in this book than adventure. It is, quite literally, word porn.

The first few books in this series were a little too hardcore for my tastes. Which is saying a lot because I am far from a prude and consider myself a person with a healthy and active sex life. Filled with bondage and S&M, the consent line was a little blurry in some cases. This book was a little tamer with a much clearer line of consent, making the book even more enjoyable. Spankings take place in every single book. If any man spanked me, I would probably kill them in their sleep, but I guess some women do enjoy them. Spankings are more of a turn-off than turn-on in my case, so I just ignore those parts of the books like “nope, that didn’t just happen.”

This was probably one of my least favorites in the series, but I think it’s simply my personal preference. One possessive and dominant mate is hott, two better, but three? Nah, that’s pushing the limits and just doesn’t do “it” for me. I guess the author was smart in how she developed her story lines with the different species. Whenever she feels like getting kinky with orgies, she just has to write a match made to Viken. Feeling like dominant wall sex? Looks like it’s an Atlan beast book. In the mood for sentimental feelings? Prillion it is. Or some one-on-one bondage and S&M? Yep, it’s a Trion book. Lol

As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. This book is no exception. I heavily recommend it.

I purchased Grace Goodwin's Mated to the Vikens B8, knowing that I was going to love the story. I was not disappointed! It is part of the wonderful Interstellar Brides series with Warden Egara. I hope that one day she will choose to have another go at romance for herself instead of watching young girl after another find their happiness. Surely there are older single males on some planet who would love to have her as their mate.

In this episode, Sophia Antonelli, from NYC is faced with the dreadful news that her beloved mother is dying of cancer. There are drugs to prolong her life, but they cost far more than Sophia could afford as an art dealer. She made a bad decision and approached a criminal boss who was only too happy to advance her the money to buy Sophia a few extra months with her mother. Her mother died, and in her grief, Sophia learns that she must illegally transport stolen art, do money laundering, smuggling, become an art forger. She has no idea where or when it will end. Then it does with her arrest and conviction. She is faced with twenty-five years at a maximum security prison filled with the worst of the female criminals. She has little doubt that she would last even a few months, perhaps not even a week. So, she opts for the Interstellar Brides Program. Good choice Sophia.

As in the other episodes, Prison Warden Egara introduces her to an advanced holographic type of simulation, that seems oh so real. Yes, Sophia agrees to become an Interstellar Bride of a Viken. She gives up her Earth citizenship and immediately becomes a citizen of Viken, subject to its laws and customs.

The planet Viken used to have three kingdoms, now they have only the Viken United. Sophia is matched with a warrior from each of the former kingdoms: Erik, Rolf, and Gunnar. All three fought side-by-side during their time fighting the war with the HIVE. They became fast friends, but each knows that they are broken and unable to love their new mate. They will care for her, protect her, and provide all that they can to make her happy, but love is not one of those things that they can provide her. They have seen her dossier and viewed her picture. They are looking forward to having her with them. Currently the three of them are guards for the royal household of three kings, their Earth-born queen and a tiny princess.

When they arrive at the transport center, the bride that arrives has dark hair and looks nothing like what they expected. What happened? The man in charge wants to know where is the queen and the princess. He nastily declares that if she is not royalty or worth a hansom ransom, kill her!

Unbeknown to the kings ,queen and infant; Gunnar, Erik, & Rolf; and another Interstellar Bride, the three transports crossed paths and all wound up in the wrong places. And this is just the start of the adventures. I find these stories a delightful way to end a hectic day or just as my own personal get away. Of course we get a HEA at the end, but it is the getting there that gives so much pleasure. % stars from me!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this story.

This is the 8th book in the Interstellar Brides series by Grace Goodwin. The whole series is great and this book is one of my favorites. This is the second story that takes place on Viken, the first one revolved around the three men destined to become Kings of the planet and with their bride, Leah unite their world once again. Leah was also a bride from earth so the Vikens were aware of the compatibility of earth brides with their males.

The three Kings have now requested that the warriors assigned to protect the royal family mate using the interstellar bride program. The bonded group, Rolf, Eric and Gunnar can not refuse. Each warrior has their own history and past traumas but together they are a formidable cohesive team. They agree to go through the matching process even if they don't totally believe they can open up again or that it can truly bring them a female they will love.

I fell in love with all three males they all had their strengths and weaknesses, and of course role preferences when it comes to relationships.
Of course the Viking like men are all hunky swoonworthy and as a bonded group can set any earth woman on fire.

Sophia has had a difficult few years, her mom's terminal illness has her desperate to provide her with medicine for her pain. She gets her involved with criminals who help provide her with meds for her mom but use her as a front woman and leave her to take the rap when discovered. Her choice is 25 years in jail or become an interstellar bride and leave earth forever. The strange matching processs mates her to not one but a group of three men on Viken.

Having gone through so much Sophia figures she can handle just about anything. She has become a brave and toughened women and is tested even further when her transportation to Viken sends her to the wrong local, placing her in eminent danger. There is evil and those that oppose the new regime are plotting against the new Kings, their Queen and child. Feeling she has gone from one nightmare to another the brave Sophia escapes.
When her mates to be find out the deception and treason that has occurred they rush to rescue Sophia, and the adventure begins.

Grace Goodwin is amazing at writing sizzling hot love/sex scenes and scenarios, this book as well gets 10 stars of hotness but there is much more to this story. The stories in these books pull the reader in from the very beginning, This Vikens storyline is much more than a human/alien mating, the characters and their backgrounds more detailed and developed, the Viken world is wonderfully expanded upon as well.

I really enjoyed this book and was not able to put it down. It is a five star addition to the series that brings the reader an exciting mixture of romance, suspense, danger, intrigue, emotional trials and healing, action, and yes lots of steamy hot scenes that will leave readers breathless.

Another great Interstellar Bride story. I was really curious to find out how the author would match another Bride to warriors on Viken as the first one (Claimed by her Mates) was matched to identical triplets that had been separated at birth and raised in the 3 different sectors. The 3 triplet Kings (Tor, Lev, and Drogan) have asked warriors from different sectors to share an Interstellar Bride to better unify the planet. We get a bride that is actually committed her crimes (albeit under extenuating circumstances). Once again our three warriors are so totally different from one another and they all bring different traits to the relationship. Eric and Wolf (ok, his name is Rolf but I really like the princess's version of his name - it suits him) and enjoyable characters but Gunnar just had that something extra that really brought him to life. The intrigue with the VSS to keep Viken from uniting/staying united really opens up this planet for more interstellar brides. Even though my favorites are still the Atlans (Mated to the Beast and Tamed by the Beast) this was a thoroughly entertaining story and I recommend it even if you are not into sci-fi romances.

I received an advance reader copy from the author and I voluntarily reviewed this book. I have purchased previous books in the series and will continue to support this author by purchasing her other books.

A great escape…

Hunky, protective aliens. A strong leading lady. A dangerous adventure/intrigue. Heat and passion galore. Oh yes, it’s time for another Interstellar Brides read! Sophia was stuck in a no-win situation so she was eager to sign up as a bride and begin a (hopefully) happier life. The introduction to her new home was not what she’d hoped for but her matched beaus were primed and ready to not only rescue her but provide a future of family and happiness. Of belonging. If they all survived, of course…

Danger and emotions were all on high as the new lovers came together to uncover an enemy while bonding as a family at the same time. There was action, danger and lot of smexy scenes to make you blush, blush, blush…

The storytelling was top-notch which has me believing that this world – these characters – could be as real as the fun I have reading them!

Sophia got caught up with the mob and ends up in prison. She chooses the interstellar bride program and is matched to Viken, but to 3 mates. They have recently instituted a new mating practice, since Leah and the triplet kings are such a success. One mate from each sector. Gunnar, Erik, and Rolf fought together against the Hive and are like brothers. Sophia is kidnapped and helps them find a man working for the resistance after being rescued.

So I’m not sure if the “prep” Leah had before being sent as a bride was changed with the new policy, since it was never mentioned. But Sophia kept her pubic hair and there’s no mention of piercings, for either her or the guys, sadly. Dual narration. With three main male characters, I think it’s hard for the narrators, especially the female one. But they did alright. Maybe I was just too distracted while listening to this one but it just felt a bit meh to me.

I really enjoyed this story. It pulled me in from beginning to end and we definitely get to see some action and intrigue with this one. It starts off with a bang because after Sophia's testing protocol and being matched her transport does not go as planned. Thankfully Sophia is a bit of a fighter and refuses to give up. I loved how Gunner, Erik, and Rolf all balance each other out and work so well together. They might not all be ready for love when they agree and want the match, but once they meet Sophia it is hard not to have that back on the table. I enjoyed how they all treated her. This story definitely goes down the BDSM kink a little more but nothing hardcore in the story. I really enjoyed this one and loved how Sophia got to help figure out who was behind the hijacked transport and am looking forward to more set around the Vikens.
The narrators did a good job with all the different voices for the characters.

Sophia gets mixed up with the mob to earn money to care for her dying mother. When caught she is sentenced to 25 years in prison or enry into the interstellar brides program. She chooses the latter and is matched to 3 Viken warriors. She immediately gets tangled in a plot intended to kill the queen and princess and her warriors have to protect her. My biggest issue was that Sophia was a little too ok with everything immediately. Immediately she was fine with being attacked in the first five minutes of arrival, being with three men at once, having sex in front of other people and some mystery person who probably wants her dead. I just couldn't handle her zero freak outs, she didn't even seem particularly perturbed. Other than that it was a quick, sorta sexy, sorta fun read.

Okay, if you've read any of my reviews, you know I love the Interstellar Brides series. I've read them all at this point and can't wait for more.

This one was a little different from the previous books in this series. It was a nice change up. It revisits the Vikens introduced in Book 3. Sophia's been matched to not one or two mates, but three and on top of that, someone doesn't want her to meet them.

There was, in my opinion, more mystery and tension in this book than in some of the others. It had me biting my nails to the end. My mantra was- this is an HEA, this is an HEA.
That being said, I don't think the others are missing anything without the added mystery and tension. It was just a nice change.

I take it that this is pretty much representative of the entire series. I don't want to kinkshame genuine femsubmissives out there, but it's not marketed just to fetishists, is it. Nor is femsub ever really presented as a particular fetish; it's the enforced norm disciplined into us all from birth. It's presented as general smut and isn't there something terribly depressing about women having to try to force-fit their sexuality into this ubiquitous, boring mold? Like, 'sure, ladies, you can totally fantasize about face-sitting and men actually enjoying cunnilingus, but only if you are shaved bald like a 9yo first and it's made very clear that all the men involved are uberdom-domly-doms and no matter what you're doing, YOU ARE SUBMITTING!'

*sigh*

We’ve had human females mated to a big beast like alien, or two aliens that share her but this was the first book where she was mated to 3 smoking hot 🥵 alien mates!

And unlike the other books she’s not transported where she’s meant to, bad guys were trying to disrupt the human queens transportation but got her inside.

She had to kill somebody and go into hiding until her mates could find her.

Then having seen the other bad guys tattoo she was perfect for going under cover in a sex club to help find him. (Very Dom & sub) 🥵

Her relationship with her three mates all came across as genuine and sweet, they were all different but each put her first.

It was an interesting story & amazing spice!

Passionately fast paced!

Excellent! Three virile and protective males, one feisty female and an awesome story! Each Viken was different: one dark and brooding, another playful and calming, another in between the two quiet but intense as well, together making a powerful trio for the taking! Goodness, just reading this story was powerful. First her transport is hijacked, nearly killed and running into a beautiful, beguiling forest, found by three men who look dangerous- I’d have been scared too but she is brave. So very brave. The sex in the book is scorching. Even without their drug-like semen I would have been hooked!

The story of ex art dealer Sophia and Viken mates Gunner, Erik and Rolf... sorry Rolf?!

I liked Sophia. She had pluck. She is courageous after being kidnapped after being mistaken for the queen. This story had quite a lot of action. Sometimes it felt a bit of a ‘one thing after another’ storyline but it was gripping.

I often struggle with lots of mates in a story as I can never really remember who is who. There always seems to be a happy one, a sad one and an extra. I often feel it’s one too many.

But you know, it was hot.
