Sorry Katie, I made a mistake and added A Past Revenge by Carole Mortimer. You should remove it. It doesn't fit because it is the heroine wanting the revenge. Great book by the way!

Both of those are on my tbr list, so I don't know for sure. But if they include a vengeful hero whose target is the heroine, then definitely. That's pretty much the only qualification :) Doesn't matter why he's vengeful. Could be because she rejected him in the past, or he thought she was a cheater, or he's just using her as a tool to get back at someone else and she's simply caught in the middle.

I'm looking for a novel in which an actress is hired by a man to seduce the hero. She was told that the hero seduced and corrupted her employer's daughter, who then ended in an institution after an overdose. The actress was chosen because she resembles the hero's dead fiancée. Help ....I'm looking for Harlequin Romance from the 70"s ??
can't remember the title .....hero and Heroine are lovers for about a year ...she is pregnant and knows he will not marry her ...so she breaks it off and he takes his revenge that night on her ....bad guy
then he leaves her on the floor and leaves her apartment.

then years later she has his child....a boy , she has to work for him but refuses to work late and wont be pushed around ....so he finds out she has a child and there is not doubt the child is his.....so he forces her to be with him again.....bad guy
please please can anyone remember the title ?

help ..... Hi im looking for a mills and boon/harlequin i read some time back but forgot the name of author and the book.. So it goes like this... Its set in australia.. and the guy is alpha hero and he is new rich but is not accepted in society because he does not belong to the "upper class". So instead he asks to marry this girl who belongs to upper class but the family is financially ruined .. so she agrees to marry him... on the wedding night they go to his apartment somewhere on the coast.. he finds out that she is a virgin and remarks something like wow so ive got a virgin as well as a high class wife... there is socializing and parties and he gets jealous when she wears this dress he doesnt want her wearing and so he has rough sex with her in the bathroom about which he feels guilty. Help me find this one ...

I think its "A Parade of Peacocks" by Elizabeth Ashton .....my memory told me it was written in 1972 because I was shocked at hero actions and looked it up to see what year it was written...also I remember it was set in Paris in the beginning and she was his lover for a year and there was something about her being a model or something like that.....I will order a used copy and see if I'm right.
March 9th Update .....well it came in the mail and ....Its not the right book ....still looking

Hello I'm looking for a but book i read in high school. I don't really remember the plot that much but the heroine lived on a ranch. The ranch fell to ruins and her father died. A guy from the past comes in to save the ranch. I can't remember if worked on the ranch in past or not but now he's wealthy. He has animosity towards her but he's in love with her or falls in love with her. I remember bits and pieces. I believe she was struggling to keep the ranch going before he comes to the rescue. I believe he forces her to marry him to help save the ranch. i read the book in 90s if ghat helps.
