Clear as day, it's a must-read! These two authors come together and give you a knock-out book with some of the hottest sex, hilarious dialogue and an amazing story. I fell in love with Mia and Ansel's love and from their first glance across that room I was done for. I wanted to know everything about them and where their story would lead. Maybe it's the writing, maybe it's the humor, hell, maybe it's the accent! But this book clenched my attention and still hasn't let go.
Through a stream of fairytale instances Mia and Ansel meet during a wild weekend in Vegas. Enter Vegas cliche here. When the hot, loving, and yes, filthy-mouthed, Frenchman returns home Mia is right on his tail. This is where the story gets good. While the pair continue to discover their voracious sexual appetite, they also develop a real, lasting relationship. Through a devourable haze of sheet romps, I got to see Mia and Ansel grow and become a lasting commodity. That is until Ansel's lie by omission takes on a life of its own with the potential to ruin everything. Mia and Ansel have only known each other a short time, so do they have what it takes to make it past this hurdle?
Sweet Filthy Boy is kind of like having the perfect recipe for your favorite dish. It's got the deeper side to the story, mixed with the fun loving, hilarious interactions among the characters and scorching sex. I mean the dynamic and chemistry among ALL of the characters sucked me in. Mia and Ansel both have these amazing sets of friends that are downright hysterical. While the story may not be on the realistic side, it is 100% awesomeness. I'm waiting with bated breath for the next in the series and will be shouting from rooftops in the meantime so everyone gets a taste of this!

LIKED Twisted holds the same brash, quirky dynamic as Tangled. In my opinion, Twisted actually tugs at your heartstrings a little more. And while the major plot line is based on an absurd misunderstanding, the secondary characters lend the comedic relief that I love. Kate and Drew have quite a rough go of it in this book. They fight, argue, tears are shed, etc. However, I couldn't help but be draw into this crazy, off-kilter world of theirs. Kate has had a major overhaul as a character. I loved it. When we're introduced to her voice it's evident that she's brassy and ballsy on the inside, but she's softened a little on the outside. Drew, well his drunken stupor this time around was his own darn fault. This couple holds a very awkward shaped piece of my heart. Which is fitting given their equally awkward relationship. It's almost hard to describe them and their world. I probably sound like a mad person when I'm explaining it to friends about how amazing it is. Especially after Twisted, where we get a glimpse of Kate's voice. I feel like I could sit down and chat for hours with these two. Truthfully, no, this book wasn't believable. That's why I love it though. Ms. Chase is an escape artist of reality and I have got a first class ticket for every crazy ride she takes her readers on.
DISLIKED Here's where it gets a little rocky. Obviously, my overall feeling of this book is positive but, there were a few hiccups. One, I needed more couple time. Once you read the book you'll understand a little better but, the gist is I needed Kate and Drew to have more of a connection in Twisted. Two, the apartment scene. No explanation on that. Read it. You'll feel my pain. Three, I needed MORE! I feel like this is a common occurrence with me. I always want more. This time it's a little different. I actually needed more. There were a few things glossed over, and I felt there could have a been a chapter well spent on a little more explanation. In short, after the sprint Ms. Chase took me on, I needed more of a cool down period.
OVERALL In the grand scheme of things, my likes FAR outweigh my dislikes. I love all of these characters just as hard as I loved them in the first book. Honestly, the chain of events in this book just screams Kate and Drew. Every step they took from beginning to end was a testament to their true characters. I can't ever ask any more from a book or author than that. If you do right by the characters and the integrity of the story, huge thumbs up! That's exactly what Emma Chase did with Twisted. Sure, I had dislikes about it but, I'm not the one with characters screaming in my head about what happens next. What's right for the readers isn't always what is right for the characters and story. So, am I pleased with this book? Hell, yes! Was it what I was expecting? Absolutely not. Then again, I love surprises, so Twisted was right up my alley.

Let's start off with- Elyssa Patrick sure knows how to feed my trope obsessed mind. Go With Me is the ever adored my best friend's sister trope, and a fantastic on at that. Wit, love, substance, lust, angst. This book is truly a all-in-one new adult top pick.
Daphne Fox has had her trials. After a devastating accident left her with severe survivor's guilt she's learned to internalize everything lest her overprotective friends and family hover any more than they already do. Part of that overprotective group is Nick Brady. He's that friend Daphne volleys back and forth with. Always exchanging pleasant snark with one another, she's never wanted to delve deeper to understand her real feeling for him. Much less expect him to turn the table on her out of the blue and try to turn their relationship into something she never dreamed she'd have or deserve. Yet, as Daphne has only been living half a life since the accident she has a lot of cleaning up to do before she can freely be with Nick. With the hiding, secrecy and guilt Daphne finally breaks. She's forced to reveal all and it may cost her some very dear relationships in the process. The love she never expected may be strong, but can it survive the truth and the time it takes to get there?
Here's my thoughts- Daphne, lovable character who was handed a crappy hand and did the best she could. She did teeter on the obnoxious tightrope a time or two, but all in all I loved the growth she experienced throughout the book and her interactions with Nick were both sweet and steamy. Nick- there is absolutely nothing I don't love about this guy. Patient to a fault- check. Hunky and hot- double check. Sexy and adorable- quadruple check. My only question is- Where in good tarnations is my own Nick Brady?! Ms. Patrick it is simply not fair that you create this magnificent man and not share him more wholly with the world. But moving on, the chemistry between Daphne and Nick was sweet and hot, yet not overbearing. Mixed in with the story, this book was the perfect recipe for me to devour. And another sigh of relief on my end? I don't have to wait another year until the next book! Yes, that is me cheering you hear. I simply can't wait for the next installment with this funky cast of characters!

An absolutely delicious layer on top of an already perfect cake. Ripped brings the alpha, sweet male together with the brooding, heartbroken heroine. An absolutely delicious layer on top of an already perfect cake. Ripped brings the alpha, sweet male together with the brooding, heartbroken heroine. And when they're thrown together after years apart, their chemistry still has the power to singe you. Pandora and Mackenna are a true match, yet fate had a little helping hand in the demise of their budding relationship years ago. Now they both feel spurned and they've turned revenge into the best form of foreplay.
Katy Evans has the adorable, and endearing ability to mix sorrow, elation, erotica, and heart-wrenching love into books that you can consider me obsessed with. She has not written a book that I have not devoured. Ripped was no exception. I call it an "all the feels" book. I truly went through such a a wide range of emotions while reading Mackenna and Pandora's story. And one of the true reasons why I get a bigger affect with these character than others is because of the dual POV. By seeing the world and experiencing it through Kenna's and Pandora's eyes it was like I was living their life, or was just a very, very close bystander.
Of course this book played on one of my weaknesses as a reader - second chances with heartache. Pandora and Kenna had two very different views for the same devastating break up. It left both of them in tatters. Yet, years later when they're supposedly moved on with their lives and play by the "out of sight, out of mind" rule, they still run rampant in each other's memories. And as the truths become more visible, the holes dig a little deeper. But it's like cleaning a room, or stitching an open wound - it's going to get worse before it gets better. However, once all of the defenses are broken down, I have to say Kenna and Pandora completely won my heart. They are literally the best versions on themselves when they're together. They have a love that people yearn for and it leaps off the pages and gives you the ultimate warm-fuzzies. And what every romance reader wants to know about - the sex - fear not, it's downright scorching. As much passion as they put into their fighting they return it ten-fold between the sheets.
This addition to the Real series is in a way mind blowing. I can't ever get enough, I'm wowed at every turn, and I never want to put any of these books down. I'm convinced Ms. Evans has put subliminal messages in her books to enrapture me the way they do. This is hands down one of my top favorites of the year AND will make the golden re-read shelf. I simply cannot wait to see what else is in store for us from this author. Please go pick up a copy of Ripped today, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Please note this CAN be read as a standalone in the series!
