This book. This book. This book. THIS. BOOK. In The Ground Rules two married couples seemingly meet by chance. They soon become friends and later decide to swap partners to spice it up to gain some fun and experience in the form of sexual gratification.
These are the ground rules 1. Don’t sleep around. 2. Don’t kiss and tell. 3. Be nice. 4. Don’t text or call. 5. Don’t fall in love.
This book started off a two star read and slowly inched its way to four solid stars. Now, I should let you know that I started the book in the afternoon after seeing it as a recommendation in a thread on Facebook. I then finished it that night. So yeah, I was definitely glued to my kindle; only stopping to cook dinner and get some play time in with the kids before bed. Then I was back ALL UP IN THIS BOOK! I had to know how it ends!
While out on a date night married high school sweethearts Mirella and Gabe find themselves dining with a couple their opposite; rich and sophisticated compared to their middle class rough around the edges. Dinner goes well with Gabe completely at ease chatting with Bridget, hitting it off in a flirtatious yet innocent fashion. Mirella and Weston however have an...uneasy start. That is until Weston tells Mirella a few things he's noticed about her simply from observing.
At the end of the night both couples go their separate ways yet Mirella can't stop thinking about Weston. When the opportunity presents itself for the foursome to unite again they willingly go. However it's the call for a private meeting that takes place where things become more apparent. Desires surface. The Ground Rules are set. They couple swap. Rules are broken. Hearts are tested. Marriages are tried.
The Writing: In all honesty I found the writing to be fair. It didn't stand out in any spectacular way, yet it didn't fall short. It just sort of hovered in the middle. If that makes any sense to anyone but me.. Personally, I'm positive that the plot itself carried most of the weight. It intrigues you. You want to know; where is this going? How will it end? Will it destroy people; if so is there a way to restore what was lost?
The Characters: Mirella- I'm sorry I could not stand her. I wish we had multiple pov's she was kind of bland to me; but that’s just me. After the tease for book two I really wish I’d gotten THAT persons pov as well as Mirella’s. Just sayin. Gabe- love him!!! I'd give anything to be in his head, to get just a snippet. Weston- peculiar yet he slowly pulls you in. He kept me reading. Plain and simple, Weston had me by the palms! If he was on the scene I did not want to put my book down! Bridget- I want to know more. I don't really know her.

Let's just say I'm off to cyber find the author to discuss a few things, like say how soon she can get me book two! NEED. WANT. MUST. HAVE. NOW.

Notes share: Below is a few notes I wrote in my kindle while reading! -Weston and Bridget breeze in with an air of polished sophistication. -Weston is intriguing. That alone pulls on my attention!
Final Thoughts: I surprisingly enjoyed it! I failed to hold a strong connection with Mirella. I wish I got both her and Weston’s pov. I have no idea why I never fully connected. I'd like to add that this book is NOT for everyone. Read at your own risk.

My Ratings Writing Style- The writing was cool. Like I said the plot and the idea carried the weight. Well that and Weston ;) POV Told in her(Mirella’s) pov, I was not happy about that. I failed to connect strongly with her. Plot/Storyline- A date night for two married couples turns into a mate swap. Only feelings take control for two of the mates. Rules are broken. Steam Factor-( Lo-Med-Hi) I say High. On a scale of 1-10 I say 8 Entertainment Level-(On a scale of Lo-Med-Hi) I say High Overall- I enjoyed it!!!

Tempting Bad is about two popular secondary characters from the VIP Trilogy. Brooke and Devon share a very close friend, Ysabelle, and have gone years without actually meeting one another up until the last VIP book where they then become very much acquainted. **raises eyebrows** Brooke is a VIP. Devon owns a bar. So here is a quick background on what is VIP: Very Important P*ssy, an exclusive escort service to extremely wealthy from around the world; sheiks, politicians, princes, celebrities, Doctors. I know what you’re thinking…Yes, this includes both men and women.
Brooke is a woman use to getting what she wants from the opposite sex just as Devon is a man of equal standing when it comes to women. He owns a bar in Miami and he’s HOT so as you can imagine he’s being hit on constantly. However his main problem is that he takes the women home. Brooke on the other hand does not take work home, she has a penthouse to play in. **wiggles eyebrows**
Alright so here is when things start to get interesting, after meeting these two hook up. During these hookups a friendship develops. Devon manages to have Brooke do something she has not done in years, take the heels off and wear *gasps in mock horror* SNEAKERS. No but really he allows her to let her hair down, to not always be in VIP mode, to instead be in Brooke mode. Though Brooke catches on quick she is far from ready to tuck away her f*ck me heels. In fact as things begin to unfold Brooke sets her sight on the crown. She wants to VIP.
My Sweet and Sour My Sweet- I LOVED the way these two accepted one another flaws and alllll. And trust me there was a lot going on. My Sour-This one scene where a breaking point is reached…It just shattered me to pieces. Like my whole being just shattered as the exchange went down.
What Readers should know : Both Brooke and Devon’s characters are introduced in the VIP Trilogy. While a small part of this story could be considered a minor spoiler to some I do believe this book can be read as a standalone. Honestly a TON of things happen in the VIP Trilogy so getting this one piece to a huge story overall would not ruin the experience the book has on readers
My Thoughts M. Robinson NEVER disappoints me and if something is off and not flowing right within the story or with its characters…well, I just tell her. LOL! No but really, I was immensely taken in by these two characters. That’s her strength when writing; she nails her characters. You meet them and get an understanding of what they want, desire, need even when they can’t see it, even when certain things have yet to be revealed. She tells the story with dual alternating points of view so that we are able to get in to a character head. Readers will often find themselves invested immediately.
The writing is hard hitting, she prefers to hold no punches and tends to go straight for the wind pipe with her hits. The direct approach mostly, giving you characters that are forward, honest and approachable though not willing to fully give their self to another…Thus creating a bridge to one of the conflicts present between the couple. The flow is face paced, yet careful and dare I say methodical. Yes, I believe I can as each character and their experiences are well thought out.
WARNING: This author has NO PROBLEM with pushing her characters’ to their limits right along with your sanity. Don’t say I never warned you. **insert sinister laugh here**
My Ratings Characters- Seductive in every way Writing Style- steamy, vividly descriptive, emotionally charged and WILD Plot/Storyline- A guy falls for an escort and her for him. But what she wants does not exactly line up with what he wants. And the past comes up uninvited to bite them in the butt. Can they have true love and survive the storms that come to take them out. Obey or die In Determined to Obey Kid quickly realizes he is now in very dangerous territory; being held as a slave/sex toy to Felipe’s slave Celia. Kid is unable to resist Celia as she uses sex as a tool to have him become more pliable. Though he bends to her will he is truly scared sh*tless of Felipe because the man has no problem expressing his attraction for Kid. And Kid is not happy about that. Felipe also has no issue telling Kid that he will have him…that Kid will want him…that Kid will beg for Felipe to take him.
With his freedom gone and his choices being non existent Kid realizes that there is one way to survive. He must obey. Quickly he learns that the cunning seductress Celia is irresistible, and that Felipe's desires to have him runs deep. In other words HE. IS. FU*KED.
Kid suddenly finds himself determined to obey.
There were some tears along the way. Ok I’m lying there were a TON of tears along the way. Kid was a big old cry baby but at nineteen I get it. He’s just a big kid who was thrust in to some unforeseen circumstances. His fear for Caleb was enough to make me fear him all over again, GAH.
I enjoyed the fact that we get to really see the relationship between Celia and Felipe. I found it interesting that she thought herself and Felipe had a very similar relationship to Caleb and Kitten’s. I also found her interference in to their lives surprising and in her own Celia way sweet.
What I loved: Not only do readers get to know Kid but we also get glimpses in to Celia’s past as Determined to Obey is told from three points of view Kid-Felipe-Celia. I loved it and was actually sad that I did not get Celia’s pov with a certain scene from Seduced in the dark *sad face emoticon* the scene when Caleb comes and…gets her… If you’ve read the book you know which one I am referring to. Overall, I read this quick novella in one sitting and refused to put it down once I started. What a great addition to the series!

Filthy Beautiful Love picks up just a few weeks after where book one ended. It was evident by the end of Filthy Beautiful lies that Colton held strong feelings for Sophie after spending so much time getting to actually know her. Those feelings were very much mutual. Of course it was only fitting that book two starts with him showing that he won’t easily let Sophie go.
“It’s taking every ounce of self-control I have to not push my hips into hers and claim her mouth. I know I’ve lost the right, but my body refuses to understand that” -Colton
Colton Drake is a taker and he goes after what he wants even if he has to chase her halfway around the world. Sophie is reluctant and is hurt by what happened in book one and rightfully so. Yet, Colton is quick to acknowledge it with an earnest apology somewhat reluctantly agreeing that she just needs time.
Sweetness... It’s not long before these two not only find their way back to one another but when they do it’s on a more intimate level. They fall back in to a comfortable routine as things not only heat up...their relationship seems to also become very serious as they explore each other in new ways. However, not all goes according to plan. The couple soon find themselves facing something no one wants to face.
As Sophie spirals into a dark depression, Colton realizes that things may be worst than he first perceived. He has to bring his sweetness back. He needs his Sophie.

My Thoughts The story is told in dual pov's which I love. You get a sexy alpha male, a sweet heroine who stands for what she wants and is fiercely independent. As well as a good dose of secondary characters and a promise of what's to come!
This was a pretty quick read; it held a few jaw droppers too, some good-some bad. I am a Kendall Ryan fan so I knew she would bring it! I enjoyed every second! I look forward to Pace’s book!

In Welcome to Sugartown we met Ana, at nineteen she was working at the diner owned by her family filling in her late mother’s shoes as the pie maker in town. We also meet Elijah, an ex-con who rides in to Sugartown on his bike in search of a job at the shop across from said diner. Elijah is described as a 6’3, deliciously tatted aussie. Which is evident by the way he leaves Ana and her bff Holly drooling on the floor of the diner as they watch him pull up through the window.
The chemistry is undeniably strong between Elijah and Ana right off the bat. Only…circumstances prevent them from being together. However once they finally make that move there is no denying that they’re meant for one another. Nothing about their journey is easy in book one. Fast forward to book three! (NOTE: Book two was not their book but they are featured in it.)
In Greetings From Sugartown it looks like big trouble is a brewing and a hoochie is looking for a good screwing. (hoochie is pronounced: who-chee, it references a loose woman)
It all starts with Elijah making a life changing decision. This is then followed by life’s not so kind interruptions that in turn hint to a fate that cannot be determined by him or Ana…one of those interruptions being a HOT new biker in town. When Ana feels all is not well with Elijah she seeks out the source of his troubles determined to love him through it no matter what.
“Hey, what’s going on with you?” “I need you to promise me that no matter how bad it gets , no matter how dark my demons are, you’ll never walk away.” “I promise.” “Swear it.” The desperation in his voice is killing me. We’ve had our fair share of fights, and we’ve endured a lot more ups and downs than most couples . I’m no stranger to any of his moods, but these rare bouts of panic frighten me more than his fury ever could. “I can handle your demons, Elijah.” I shower his face in kisses , attempting to heal the hurt with every press of my lips against his skin, though I have no idea what it means. I just want to erase the pain from his voice, from his heart. “I’ll take them and wrap them in light, and then I’ll give them back to you, because you need them to make you whole , and without them you wouldn’t be the man I fell in love with.” “You shouldn’t love me. Not for what I’m about to ask you to do.”
You know what I hate.
I hate doubt…because it has the power to kill any thing if you let it. Is their relationship really strong enough to withstand whatever comes their way? OR are they meant to only be with one another for just a time?
Just when you think the coast is clear of life’s trial filled interruptions you get hit with a sledge hammer to the back of the head. And you’re out. COLD.FACE.DOWN.ON.THE.GROUND.

My Thoughts This is actually a pretty quick read, a true fast pace page turner. I've read it twice ;) The Writing: Carmen Jenner is a generous writer; she gives us both the male and female pov which I thoroughly enjoy, there were also plenty of twists that had my jaw on the floor. So let’s just say that I really LOVED the writing PLUS the story was very much entertaining! Jenner excels at making you laugh with some humorous character interactions. Then she goes and steams up your ereader screen with some really HOT sex scenes. In between the belly laughs and great sex both Ana and Elijah are tackling trials that test their relationship as they face off with some insecurity issues taking up residence within each of them.
My Ratings Characters- Fun and Witty…well most of them. Writing Style- Solid. Jenner gives us her signature wit with a few twists and great steamy moments. Plot/Storyline- Elijah’s past decides to pay his future a visit. Steam Factor- High/Steamy on a scale of 1-10 I say 8 Entertainment Level- Lo-Med-Hi I say Hi I was bent over in laughter at one point because a scene was so funny. In Overwhelmed Kelly and Tom Hamlin go to a sex club called Top Hat in hopes of spicing up their marriage only they leave more broken than they were prior to arriving whether they know it yet or not.
When Eric Firth spots Kelly at the Top Hat he knows he’ll fuck her. After all he’s a man use to getting what he wants. Once he has her, he decides that he’d like Kelly all for himself. Because who cares if she's married right.. *rolls eyes*

Kelly Hamlin is an indie author and although I do not recall her genre being specified in the book at one point it is clear that her current WIP(work in progress) is a romance. She’s been with her husband Tom for 20 years, they have 2 kids a boy Remy around 10 or 11, sorry I’m unsure and a girl Nicky around 15 or 16.
Kelly is so completely immersed in her writing that she has been neglecting her home, her kids and her husband in the process. Safe to say that her life is falling apart right before her eyes however she has her face stuck in a screen without a damn clue. That is until real life slaps her in the face with issues that must be dealt with immediately.
‘I was failing as a wife and a mother. I put my hands to my head. I could feel tears prickling at the back of my eyes.’
So as I was saying, in the beginning of the book it’s clear that their marriage is not doing well. Looking to fulfill their sexual fantasies they decide to visit a sex club.
My first thought: umm, this is not a good idea guys. Do they listen: No. *hangs head in disappointment, yes, I'm judging them*
While at the sex club Kelly finds herself attracted to a British guy named Eric. A guy whose been eye fucking Kelly since he walked in the club that night. Mind you none of this goes unnoticed by Tom. After the couple has some fun with each other alone few times *wink,wink* Eric *mumbles ‘asshole’ to myself* Ok, where was I? Eric, yes, Eric Firth invites himself in to the mix. They agree to a threesome and…..well that is when things become AWKWARD.
The whole threesome scene was just weird and I…I felt soooo bad for Tom. It becomes abundantly clear that he is not happy with another man fucking his wife yet he allows it to continue instead of stopping it; in a very cringe worthy scene that will leave readers not so happy. Hell, Kelly is so distracted by her unwanted attraction for Eric and the love she has for her now uncomfortable husband Tom that she can’t even get off. *hangs head down in shame* It was bad folks.

Thunderstruck What made the story appeal to my reading taste buds was how Marita A. Hansen takes you on a little ride with her main couple by going from present to past. In flash backs she allows readers to see how Kelly and Tom got together which was absolutely ADORABLE. Kelly with her innocence and Tom with his far from innocent self. Hansen intertwines it with their present story causing my heart to give a flutter with scenes that capture the moments of first love.
Another thing she did was make the family life in your face real. Kelly is not the best mum or wife. She admits it and knows that things could be better. There are a few issues with the oldest child Nicky that’s slowly revealed throughout the story proving things to be much deeper than any parent can imagine.
While Kelly attempts to fix her family Eric plans her undoing. In a move to ensure he’ll get the girl Eric decides to approach Kelly with a dream deal. One he knows she is sure to take and…she does much to my dismay.

My Thoughts These two had no damn business going to a sex club. Sex was not the issue in this marriage in fact they seemed to have a pretty healthy sex life. Now EVERYTHING outside of the bedroom was the issue. Even after the first time knowing damn well they both were uncomfortable with the whole ordeal they agree to another sexcapade. NO…JUST NO. This really pissed me the heck off.
As far as the main characters go: - I consider Eric a villain. Not sure if that is what Marita A. Hansen was going for but it’s the vibe he gave off in my opinion. Nothing about his intentions are pure and I could not stand his ass. - #TeamTom Tom is sweet, loving and caring he just wants his wife to be happy and he has no idea how to get their marriage out of the dump that it’s in. - Kelly Infuriated me at times a lot of the weight of their damaged marriage rests on her shoulders and her inability to put forth the effort needed to make things right. She had no balance to her life and neglected all that was important..her husband..her kids.
My Rating and Why I fought with myself on how to rate this book. However the writing was great and I knew it was my issues with the characters that took root and caused some disgust within me. I loved Tom and Kelly although she had her moments I still loved Kelly. Eric not so much, I HATED HIM. He did not appeal to me and I did not feel the pool that Kelly felt towards him AT ALL. Hence, the disgust. I decided to go with 4 STARS because the writing and plot was strong. I thought there was a few things off in the beginning but soon the story just flowed for me and I was completely pulled in. Great job! Marita A. Hansen!

My Thoughts This was one intense ride, Torre gives very little info about the hero yet readers will be instantly attracted to him. A man we know NOTHING about however you'll crave for more. Remember, patience is a virtue and the truth can be a BIT*H.

My head is still spinning. This book is TOTALLY different from VIP in many, many ways..Where as VIP had a slow crawl to the story line filled with anticipation for worlds to collide, and some very hot sex scenes, giving us dual pov’s with one very conflicted character(Seb) while the other was assertive and strong willed(Ysa). The Madam was the opposite; its fast paced, with only Lilith’s pov and boy is it one HELL of a pov, she is very ambitious, and on top of that there is a high sexual charge that permeated throughout the entire book.

My Thoughts The Madam starts and ends with a BANG! I don’t think anyone is ready for Madam. That chick is a problem and I figured that out in VIP but it was made abundantly clear once I read the Prologue for Madam. People are going to love Madam and hate her and then hate her some more, it’s that kind of book.
My Rating and Why This book took 5 STARS from me. Yup, it snatched each star right out of my grubby hands. Has that EVER happened to you? I gladly allowed each star to leave my grasp of course.
The Madam is a character driven story fueled with twists and unexpected turns. Each page had me spellbound and eager to know what would happen next. The writing was excellent and the story telling was beyond intriguing. Do I sound a bit bias? You bet your ass I am but it does not matter. Why? The proof is in the pudding! READ THE BOOK!

While my trip back to Sugartown was HOT and extremely hilarious it was also hit with a whole LOT OF DRAMA.
Holly Harris, the snarky tell you like she means it with a one two punch red head that readers first fell in love with in Welcome to Sugartown is back annnnnd she’s pregnant. Being nineteen and pregnant is scary enough, throw in the fact that the guy who impregnated you is nowhere in sight and that fear triples. Faced with having to put on her big girl knickers Holly decides that she will raise her child on her own with the help of her close friends who coincidentally are also her housemates.
Doubt she knew that her pregnancy hormones would have her ready to jump one housemate in particular just about every time he enters a room. The sexy and delicious town whore better known as Jackson Rowe. “Sweetheart, right now you could be pregnant with the Dalai Lama’s baby, and I wouldn’t give two fucks.” - Jack
Jackson Rowe is back in Sugartown and he is screwing his way through the small town. LITERALLY, the guy can’t keep it in his pants. Jack has always had a hard on for Holly(pun intended) and her carrying another man’s child has not changed his desires to hit that. Jack feels like he has a claim on Holly. On this I would have to agree. As the flames between these two grow to an intense burn it becomes clear that she agrees too.
In spite of all that undeniable attraction neither Holly nor Jack seem to be able to get on the right track long enough to become in sync, deciding to instead tuck their feelings away for good times and sex play.

These two are unyielding as they take being stubborn to the next level while reaching new heights each chapter at a time. I was feeling the dual pov's, Jack and Holly are two of the funniest characters I've met so far in 2014! Alas, this is not the first time a book #2 in a series has failed to hit the spot for me by holding that suck you in plot line momentum of the first and it surely won’t be the last. The big booms in Enjoy You Stay did not exactly have the same reaction on impact as Welcome to Sugartown. Correction, after that first big boom the impact was not the same..because uh, that was a BIG BOOM.
On the bright side Carmen Jenner has a sassy entertaining writing style. I have no doubt that her characters will truly humor you with their witty banter.
Do I plan to continue with the series? Yes, I do

In Unforgiven we meet Bailey Trent. She has recently been released from prison after completing a six year bid due to a horrible mistake made one fateful night. Bailey has managed to keep a low profile once returning to her hometown so that she could be close to her mother. A town that is not so welcoming as her past mistake is fresh in the memories of the towns people.
When the book opens a slice to the hand from a can has Bailey placed in the ER and it is there that we meet Dr. Darren Corey. Like most of the people in town Darren hates Bailey for what she did. But his hate is more personal and he has no qualms with letting her and the world know it.
It’s through flash backs that we learn that hate was not his original feelings towards Bailey..No, he once cared for her..
After repeatedly running in to one another on quite a few occasions one thing becomes clear.. Darren may act as if and say he hates Bailey but he is also drawn to her in an inexplicable way. Well, inexplicable to him. Through flash backs it becomes clear to readers as to why he is a mixed bag of emotions when it comes to Bailey.

In no way shape or form is this book an easy read. It does more than pull at your heart strings as you watch two broken souls find their way to forgiveness, love and acceptance. Some may think there is a play on the thin line between love and hate concept.. HOWEVER I felt that was misconstrued by pain and the hurt left from what happened six years ago; and how that tragedy effected these two people. Darren had an internal battle to overcome and Bailey’s presence in town brought it to the forefront.

My Thoughts I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I had minor issues with some of the characters actions mainly Darren but no surprise there that happens A LOT when reading. The writing flowed as the author tells you of the tragedy in flashbacks as well as the relationship Bailey and Darren had prior to the incident that changed them forever. WARNING: Readers will experience a range of emotions so keep the Kleenex close and grab your favorite bottle of wine because you’re going to need it. And I do mean the whole bottle..hmph**shrugs shoulders** maybe that was just me. His and Her Chemistry? Bailey and Darren was OFF THE CHARTS STEAMY when together; Finn does not disappoint.
On the plus side -You get dual pov's -The love scenes are very steamy -Darren is definitely an alpha male -You will not hate the heroine(Bailey) -Finn does not leave you confused while dragging out the story in any way.
On the negative side -Darren has moments that will irk your soul cause he is mean arse

When a person cries, they feel the sadness slowly ease out of them. They feel as though they are justifiably respecting a person that has died through showing their grief. First of all this book DESTROYED ME and words…words FAILED ME by the end. I don’t think I have ever been so flustered when writing a review as I am with this one there was things I liked and some things I did not like.(I’ll expand on that later) One thing’s for sure, I was warned by the author as are you. ***Author Note: This is not a love story. This is a story of love gone wrong.***

Alexa is also aware of him; watching her. He’s been doing it for some time now and she can feel his eyes on her whenever he is near.

This is where things get complicated. Something bad happens and it brings hoodie stalker guy up close and personal with Alexa.

And dude is FRIGHTENING. Scares her, scares me, it gets real. You have no idea what will happen.
‘Opening my eyes to find his still on my face, I ask a hushed, “What’s your name?” The corner of his lip tips up. “Doesn’t matter. You’ll forget it once I’m gone.” Taking a small step towards him, I promise, “No, I won’t.” It’s his turn to take a step back. He watches me some more. Those eyes. It feels as if they see everything. Breathing in, he replies on an exhale, “I’m Twitch.”
We meet the guy in the hood. His name is Twitch and he has an itch so to speak for Alexa.
She wants him.
There’s something animalistic about this man. Something I want to be a part of. Something I want to be included in. He’s a force of nature.’ -Alexa

The attraction is very clear and she lets him know. Twitch is very up front with Alexa when he tells her what he is about and uhhh how he likes it. DIRTY.
As readers take in both pov’s we learn that Twitch has an agenda. He wants to break Alexa, but why?

My Sweet - I enjoyed how Belle Aurora gave us snippets of personality with the internal monologues. I found it witty and entertaining.
My Sour - Well my first choice is too spoilerish so here is my second choice, mean Twitch… I did not like mean Twitch at all.
This is the first time secondary characters made the book for me and the main characters just seemed to give me a splitting headache. I was so unsure on how to rate RAW. Why? Well for one, I struggled with the hero, Twitch and his motives towards Alexa. More so the reasoning behind it. Second, Alexa and her internal battle with allowing Twitch to Dominate her.. It seemed like she fought it throughout the entire book and I just did not get that about her.
Either your down or not. Her actions spoke volumes though..She was DEFINITELY down. So why internally fight it, just accept it. Maybe that is easier said then done, don't know.
My Thoughts Basically I was unhappy with the reasoning Twitch used for going after Alexa. Yes, I understand his anger but I feel as if he chose Alexa without just cause. His anger was completely misdirected. So maybe it was just me. I don’t know, it just felt wrong… Some may argue that that is the point, it was misdirected, that’s the tragedy of it all. And I guess *shrugs a shoulder* I can see how people feel that way.
I sort of thought there was a few plot holes. (view spoiler)[ - How was Twitch able to just set up shop like that in a whole new country with a cover company and so on and so forth? Drug empire’s are not built over night.
- Why did Twitch wait so long to enter Alexa’s life. He said it took a year to find her, ok so how soon was he in Australia after that?
- If he was watching her for so long how did he fail pick up on the fact that she is such a sweet, good hearted person. Was he blinded by his rage? Possible. Why not explore that a bit more? Or is all this a result of his brain injury?
-Why did she not further question Ling living with him? That irked me the way she dropped it.
-His stealth missions in and out of her house? How? Guess that falls in to his mysterious ways category huh? (hide spoiler)]
My Rating and Why 4 STARS- I wanted more. I felt these things could have been explored upon maybe cut out a few sex scenes. OH MY, I can’t believe I just said that… I NEVER opt to cut out sex. However, it would have upped my rating if I had these answers of this I am sure.

My Thoughts E.M. Abel has a writing style that I enjoy to read. She provides a realistic storyline with imperfect characters; with just the right dose of sex and a heavy tug at my heart leaving me a bit emotional. Breaking Shaun was a solid 4 STAR read for me. I need Jay’s book like..NOW! I am eager for him I loved him in Freeing Asia and getting a piece of him in Breaking Shaun was not enough I NEED MORE!

My thoughts HOLY HELL the writing is superb the story flowed and pulled you in to this intense forbidden love affair and then BAM the author slaps you in the face with reality. With lines like
‘We knew what we were doing, Your Honor.’
SAY WHAT? Every time Maise would think of being caught readers are hit with lines that are equivalent to having cold water poured over your head. Am I the only one who felt that way while reading this??? Sheesh. I kept thinking please pleeease don’t let them get caught. I LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS BOOK!
The characters -Maise is a free spirit and makes no apologies for being that way. She knows what she wants and she goes after it full throttle and you will easily love that about her character. Her ability to survive and not get sucked in to the harsh world that greets her gladly on a daily basis is almost astounding. And yeah she gets backed in to a corner and has to claw her way out. But that’s just it; she claws her way out and she DOES NOT LOOK BACK. -Evan THIS MAN. I fell hard for this man. He was sweet and sexy and truly loved Maise. They each healed one another and encouraged one another in every way. Him struggling to allow Maise to live her life at 18 with or without him was heart breaking but so so sweet. If only the world had more Evan Wilke's out there.

The writing was strong and appeals to those who love a strong alpha and strong female. I think Meli’s strength and no non sense attitude was a breath of fresh air. No one likes a weak wounded heroine. Well I don’t… Plot wise I felt some of it was a tad predictable but overall I LOVED IT!!!! PLUS -The romance was very spicy. - and readers get great character interactions with all the Corps security men.

My Thoughts I enjoyed this quick read. J.M. Stone sure does know how to bring it with the steamy scenes. The chemistry between these three was done well. I think the story had a few predictable turns and a continued plot line seemed to have dropped or maybe the other twist just took precedence. Either way I felt a continued plot from book 1 came up short, it was mentioned then dropped. That plus the predictable twist effected my rating thus 3.5 stars.
What I really can't wait for is Chloe's book. I loved her character she was shy and reserved and after the way she showed up I am anxious for her story. And with the way Stone writes I know it's going to be one steamy read!
Overall I like this authors writing style she give a great cast of secondary characters that will have laughing out loud and/or scrunching your face up in disgust. Either way good times are had all around. I will definitely continue with the series!
