The author really knows how to write a story that has the reader feeling all the emotions that she has imbued her characters to experience. I really felt that Gabriel and Quinn could be real people going through everything IRL. I would highly recommend this book to any readers considering it!

Follow that up with a really well written story and ditzy characters that you just want to be real so that you can meet them and become one of their close friends. Luna and Beck are also two very creative character names! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily....more

I liked the loyalty that Dani was showing by not revealing a secret that would have betrayed a friend, but to do it to the point of losing the man you have grown to love and that you know is The One? I liked Zach a lot, but he definitely had major trust issues. The storyline has been used many times, but this one managed to feel fresh and interesting regardless. Astrid and Parker were the very definition of enemies-to-lovers, as well as opposites attract tropes in the very best way. I loved their story and really liked that there was an epilogue that was a number of years on into their life together. Such a successful and satisfying end to a beautiful book. Kalle and Edie's journey to their HEA was foreseen by everyone but them, and following the many obstacles that they put in their own way to get there was both sweet and frustrating at the same time for everyone who has become invested in this wonderfully wacky kingdom brought to Ms. Kerr's loyal readers. I wish that this series would continue on indefinitely, I love it that much!.

It was good to read a historical novel that dealt with the issue of a devastating injury due to war and the long road back to recovery that faced not only Duncan but Mary also. A poor alcohol-induced decision on the part of Tyler just before he left town to go to college compounded by a lot of miscommunication which turned to anger and resentment on the part of Kristen over the results of that night and which she let simmer and brew for seventeen years. It is at this point that Tyler returns to town to establish a business and ends up having to work with Kristen on an economic development committee and is completely baffled as to why she has so much hostility towards him since his memory of that night is non-existent. I'm getting a tad tired of and frustrated with books where 80-90% of the book is "a failure to communicate" when if the couple would just have a healthy discussion, things could have been worked out. Or at least a bridge could have been built towards a better relationship in the future. Of course, that wouldn't make for a very long book that way. lol. I did like the fact that Seth, the teenage son of Kristen and who was unknown to Tyler, was a violin prodigy. That was unusual and could have been expanded on a bit more. I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them quite a bit so I will read more from her in the future.

A simpler time also fraught with incredible danger! The back and forth between Brynmor and Lark was charming and I liked how their feelings for each other progressed at a more natural pace even though it did involve conflict, danger, drama, and a second chance. There is so much drama, suspense, danger, and action to be found within these pages as the brothers once again have to deal with Creed and the child-trafficking ring that they have been trying to shut down for so long even though Creed has proven to be a slippery snake and has managed to always slip away even after having put the entire Hart family through terror and emotional pain in a previous book by making it personal and kidnapping Chase's small son and then grabbing Chase also and first torturing him and then leaving him for dead before the other three brothers were able to rescue him. But there are lots and lots of hot, heavy, sexy times with Heath and Pasha too! Heath needed to be able to trust in a woman again and Pasha was just what he needed to bring him out of his self-imposed darkness and back into the light with her strength and compassion and unequivocal love to show him that there was so much more out of life to be experienced together! A must-read!
