She names a stranger as her bethrothed, much to his astonisment. They meet and decide to proceed with the ruse since his father has demanded that he marry as well. I love the characters and the plot line and even though the same
sort of story has been told many times Golden does it with flair and more than a touch of romance. I love a satisfying and happy ending.

It is an enticing, enchanting, and delectable historical and paranormal romance that will grip you from the first page all the way to the end. It is the story of a group of misfits with paranormal abilities that work together for their protection. As all good romances do this one has a happy ending. I highly recommend this book to historical book lovers who like a bit of paranormal flavor to spice up the plot.

At first I thought this book had too many early gothic undertones but the further into the story I realized that the backstory was vital to the rest as it unfolded. The love story between Lizbeth and Sebastion is so special that makes the book the wonderful experience that it is. For Sebastion having grown up with so much abuse in his life and to find redemption in Lizbeth's eyes truly makes the heart sing....more

Princess Allegra Auriano has lured Sebastion, the Earl of Hawksmoor to help her battle the curse. In the process of battling evil foes they have fallen in love but will they be able to overcome all their differences and the feelings of betrayal they each have felt. It takes place on many plains with astral projection and karmic justice. The characters grabbed my interest and the plot was a bit complicated with people projecting to different times and places. The only complaint I have is tht sometimes the transitions between couples , times, and protagonists were a little confusing and halted the flow of the overall story. ...more

The plot is intruiging, the characters are appealing and loveable. The story is enriched with Kasey Michael's humor that I love and have found in all of her books. The main character is intelligent and one can follow her growth as a person in what she discovers about herself as she sets about solving several crimes and getting justice for the victims. i love this book and can't wait to read the second book in the series that I hope will come along soon....more

Jane Austen is one of my all-timeI received an ARC of this book from # St. Martin's Press for an honest review. I love this book, absolutely love it. Jane Austen is one of my all-time favorite authors so naturally I love anything and everything concerning Jane. In the little town of Chawton, England a group of Jane Austen book lovers decide to form a group to preserve and protect the legacy and books from the house, Chawton Park, that once belonged to Jane's oldest brother Edward. Part of the contents include over 2,000 books most with the personal crest of the Knight family who had adopted Edward. As the book continues the group continues to grow and more support comes in for their goals. It is a wonderful story that made me wish I could have lived back when Jane Austen was writing her books, or at least to be able to visit the place where she had written her last three books. The characters are so vividly written that they seem to become instant friends and I wanted to suffer through their sorrows and celebrate through their triumphs and sigh happily as several couples finally found their happiness.
