This book about a time-traveling apartment where a book publicist meets a man from seven years in the past whom she will meet again in her present is at times light-hearted and romantic but also has things to say about love and grief and how we are always growing and changing and becoming different people as we live. But don’t let the tropes fool you – this is a fun story about two complicated people who would never imagine that they’d ever fall for each other. Samantha Bashar is a pediatric anesthesiologist who prides herself on being fiercely independent and hardly ever needs anyone, yet who also happens to have anesthetized her own heart. But she can’t help falling for Dr. Caleb D’Angelo, a proven romantic who is somehow always right there for her just when she needs it the most. I loved watching these two figure it all out and fall in love, and I hope that you do too! ...more

Oh my gosh. AE Jones couldn’t stop after her RITA-nominated Mind Sweeper. No, she goes for broke in this 5th book of the series (3rd full length, as 2 of the books are novellas) as our sassy heroine Kyle McKinley is ba—aack and in big trouble as usual. Kyle is the accidental recipient of a “key” of knowledge when she swept her ex- lover Dalton’s mind to save his sanity and, well…the key got embedded in her own mind. Oops.
Now Dalton is suddenly thrust back into her life, with no memory of her—and she must make a painful choice between two men. We felt her heartbreak in the first two books, and the decision she must make now is equally heart wrenching.
I was riveted from page one. The dialogue is snappy and funny and Kyle has such a strong, sassy personality. After five of these books, I feel that I know her well, yet she still continues to surprise me and make me laugh out loud.
I feel like her team of supernatural crime solvers is my own family—Misha, a demon with a Russian accent with an appetite bigger than Cleveland itself and Jean Luc, a sexy vamp with a French accent (along with other teammates Talia and Jason and well, hello, Dolly).
Of course, Cleveland stars in this novel as well, in all its glory (the bakeries and restaurants of Little Italy, the Museum of Art, John Carroll University and other fabulous nods to the city).
I love what AE Jones has done in this series—it’s bold and completely riveting, and this one is the best yet. Between the ongoing mystery, the romance, and the emotion which takes you from laughing out loud to crying, this whole series is not to be missed.

I loved writing about Viv, who left Blossom Glen with big dreams but returned broke and a little beaten down, but determined to turn things around. Her sweet, funny former best friend, who is now hotter than hot, sees her at her lowest, working in the town Christmas store, dressed as an elf…while he’s become a famous bestselling author. But he’s changed too, seeming far more aloof and jaded than ever before. Plus, he’s totally clueless about social media, her specialty. Voila! As their paths cross again, Viv’s former bestie just might become something more…if only she doesn’t discover the truth behind his success. Hope you enjoy these two as much as I enjoyed writing them! ...more

You will fall in love with John, a green beret, and Elizabeth, a therapist who works with women who have suffered abuse, as they bond over his dog that his ex took to the shelter while he was deployed (!)... and just guess who the dog ends up with. A great beginning, which only gets better as we discover how John has a true heart of gold and is just right for Elizabeth, who has suffered abuse herself. This is a story of hope and healing, and it has great emotional depth as well has moments of humor. And a great and creative bonus is that every chapter comes with a song suggestion that will keep you singing as you read!...more
