I am intrigued how different authors can write each book yet each book feels connected and contiguous. New characters are introduced but blended with previous characters with easy and realism. I loved Jacob, the professional date, from the start, and his relationship with Aaron, while business as first blossomed into love. It was an emotional read for me and I so waned them to stop pretending and accept love. The age gap never seemed to be an issue. A nice slow evolving love story that left me smiling and ready for the next book. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review. ...more

I can almost guarantee this one will get under you heard and it will be a read in one sitting (it did and was for me). Jason is all emotions, shuts off love and only does hookups as he has been burned to many times; Patrick recovering from death of husband never expected to feel such feeling again but seeing Jason does it for him. Chemisty off the chart, but on different pages, it was fun to watch them get on the same page. Both suffer from pain from past and sometimes we learn the pain comes back to haunt us, and must be dealt with before we can find HEA. Such is the path of these two men. It was fun to watch Patrick try to save Jason when he had no need to be saved. A great read. You will not be disappointed. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review. ...more

I always read these books in one sitting as I love the mystery and have to see how it ends. This one is no different. It continues the evolution of the work and love of Declan and Charlie. Both their cases and their relationship is maturing and growing. I will admit this one was slight more mystery than romance (would like more balance) it is still a wonderful read. You really do not get much better than this type of mystery. I never knew where it was headed or what would happen next. A great read. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review. ...more

I love a small town romance with its quirky main and secondary characters. Marshall and Daniel are so sweet together and Daniel's daughter stole my heart also. Despite their age differences they have great chemistry and was fun to see Marshall be all in while Daniel had to finally face his feeling. I love the idea of a tornado stranding Marshall (with Rose), and Rose insisting he stay with her and her daddy (Daniel) while his jeep is repaired. Fun to watch Daniel not work so hard and give into his feelings. The writing is funny, a good blend of love and heat, and moves the plot quickly. A great read. First, the blurb drew me in. I had never read any prison romance books and so glad this one was my first. It will be hard to top. All three characters are flawed but beautifully written and perfect for one another. Samuel drew me in with his walls higher than Jericho, but over time his interaction with Eli moved him from being withdrawn and guarded to opening showing love for Eli (and his husband Nathaniel). I love concept of Nathaniel asking Samuel to be Eli's prison husband so as to protect him and suddenly all three become a wonderful romance. Truly a book that illustrates we can all create our own definition of family. You will not be disappointed in this one and I cannot wait for book two. If I could give a book a 15 rating instead of 10 I would do it--it has quirky characters, a great plot, and many ups and down. We meet four brothers, with this one about Baker. Baker is the rock of the family but suddenly with his dad's death he has to keep the family ranch alive and of course it seems his dad's will is leaving ranch to be split with three half brothers he does not know. to survive the transitions the ranch to a guest ranch and the first guest, Hanley, steals his heart. A great story about family, resiliency, and finding your true love. I am so excited for the other books in this series as this one stole my heart and would not let go. Do not miss this one! I enjoyed reading but would have preferred less spice and plot. I loved the potential but felt it fell short of what it could have been but still worth the read. I wonder if part of that was issues with formatting that made it hard to follow at certain points. Take the trigger warning seriously and be prepared for a cliffhanger. Such a dark book that is so well written and despite focusing darkness and depression, it is a book about hope, support, and love. Jordan's character Such a dark book that is so well written and despite focusing darkness and depression, it is a book about hope, support, and love. Jordan's character broke me in so many ways. I wanted to hug him and help him feel loved. His depression takes over his life until he lets his guard down when meeting Miles online. Miles support to Jordan is what real love is about-accepting someone as they are and helping them navigate their life issues. Problem for Jordan, who for the first mite feels safe and calm with Miles, is is that Miles is 100 miles away. Take the trigger warning seriously and get your head in the right place to read this beautiful book. I did shed some tears but those tears brought happiness. A story of unexpected love between two me from same small town and who went to high school tAnother winner of a book from one of my favorite authors. A story of unexpected love between two me from same small town and who went to high school together. Both Lennox and Oliver have are wonderfully written. Hockey player Lennox has long had a crush on swimmer Oliver, and suddenly a ride home for the holidays has been snowed and one magical night happens, but back on campus Oliver acts like nothing happened. While they have off the charts chemistry, the road to love is expected, filled many many road blocks and requires give and take by each one. A great story where your head says sports come first (especially for Oliver who is tying to make up for only winning silver Olympic medal), but our heart says love comes first. So much fun watching them navigate the head and heart to find HEA. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review. ...more

I also love when book one sets a high bar as this wonderful book does. Alex and Ryder have a history, Ryder was Alex's bully, but they have great chemistry. Seems each has ideas about the other that might not be accurate. Alex sees Ryder as spoiled rich kid when in reality he is trying his best to deal with strong family expectations. Alex is struggling managing his life and taking care of his family, putting others first. He is balancing a lot and works bottle service at a nightclub where he reconnects with Ryder and a slow romance begins. Lots of issues in this one, bullying, opposites, power dynamics, misjudging people, etc so be prepared but a wonder book. Jeremy hires Connor's company to clean his house and get it ready for sale. These two have an attraction but Connor cannot go there. In fact, for much of this book I struggled to like Connor but the author did bring me around to liking him as much as I did Jeremy. A book about learning to love yourself and learning to accept someone else's love. The two men are opposites but connect on a level that is easy to see. I will see the only reason I did not give it five stars is that I felt some topics were presented then ghosted. But overall a good read that will make you think. The two men could not be more different. Elliot is younger, creative and optimistic, whereas Hank is older and practical. It will take both of their skills to survive on this island. Suddenly working together they find personal comfort in one another to be able to survive under such dire circumstance.
