This book was really good and I'm kicking myself for waiting this long to read this book. The pacing was good. I enjoy the dark humor. I LOVED getting the point of view from our villain, Lucas. Even though Lucas was the villain he did have some redeeming qualities and I loved how he took care of Roger (dog) and I felt he really cared for his mother in law as well. I will say the ending of this book had a twist I didn't see coming and I loved the way it all played out in the end. I look forward to reading McKinnon's next book!...more

This was my first time reading anything by Briana Cole and it was a good read with some jaw dropping twists. My main issue with this story was the ending and how anticlimactic it was for me. Despite the ending I would definitely read another book by this author!...more

There were some funny moments as well to balance out the heaviness at times. Noelle & Miriam are such opposites, but it works and I enjoyed how their relationship progressed. I’m really hoping we get Hannah and Levi’s story soon. I just know the angst is going to be next level!...more

So I took a break and restarted it a few weeks later and I ended up really enjoying this story. I did call the killer, but the motive caught me by surprise. I loved the theme of found family and how they looked out and protected each other in this story.
What can I say about Andy? His character really grew on me and I loved his character growth throughout the story. He did a lot of self reflection which isn’t always easy, but I’m glad he did. Since I did end up enjoying the story, Dennis will hold this over my head for the rest of my life. Pray for me y’all....more

The banter, the chemistry and the connection was perfection. The angst that made my heart ache. Penelope Ward never ceases to amaze me and Moody is a wonderful reminder as to why she is one of my favorite authors.

When I first started this book I wasn’t in the right mind frame. So I waited a few months to read and ended up really enjoying the story. Ray and Elvin had great chemistry and banter. They were so the opposite of each other, but it worked.
I also felt bad for Ray at the end and felt he got such a raw end of the deal when it came to the secondary storyline. I also would have liked an extended epilogue.
This was my first time reading Hudson Lin and I do look forward to reading more books by her in the future. ...more
