Abby Jimenez has done it AGAIN!!!! I have been a fan of hers since her debut novel " The Friend Zone" and she just keeps getting better and better! This book has some very heavy themes that I can sadly relate to especially making yourself small and isolating yourself when things get tough. Thankfully with therapy and meds I have made a lot of progress. Emma and Justin where do I begin?? I just ADORED them separately and as a couple as well. Maddy is the true definition of ride or die and we all need a Maddy in our life! I loved the Easter eggs that were in the story and the one reveal made me smile! I love how this book discusses the importance of setting and maintaining healthy boundaries especially with family. That is something I have struggled with as well and I was rooting for Emma when she finally had enough and put herself first. I'm doing my best not to spoil anything so I'll end my thoughts now but please read this book. Abby just keeps getting better and better and I love how lovable and relatable her characters are and how she has me rooting hard for them throughout the whole book.

Penelope Ward is the only author that can make me pull an all nighter these days and this book was SO worth the lack of sleep. I LOVED everything about the story. It made me laugh and tear up as well. One scene I had to put my kindle down to compose myself. As someone who has worked with adults that have special needs this book was extra special. Carly, Josh, Scottie, and Bubba-Hank will stay with me for a long time....more

This was a cute royal romance novel. “You can’t stay stagnant forever. You have to evolve and become more than just a static figure in your own life.”
This was a cute royal romance novel. I loved that Piper and her mother both dealt with mental health issues in this story. There were mentions of therapy and how it doesn’t cure you, how you have to do the work between sessions and know when it’s time to end therapy as well. This is all so true!!
Harrison was guarded and I loved the peeling of layers and getting to know the real man behind the tough exterior. Piper and Harrison to me are an unconventional paring, but they make it work. This story was fun, flirty, heartfelt and endearing. Just what I needed to snap my book slump....more

Dallas and Zora have been friends since childhood and end up getting married in Vegas. They pretend to go with and eventually real feelings start to surface. While reading this book I definitely felt the conflict between the two, but I wish they would have communicated more about their feelings in the beginning. There was a lot of inner dialogue that I would have preferred to see as one on one conversation.
I’ve been looking forward to reading Zora’s book for a long time. She is the baby sister and I love how fierce she is and doesn’t take any of brother’s nonsense. As a woman executive she has to work twice as hard to prove herself and having the family name doesn’t exempt her from these challenges.
Dallas is an absolute sweetheart and it’s nice seeing a man who is vulnerable and willing to lay his whole heart out for the woman he loves. He held nothing back when it came to his feelings for Zora.
The Bourbon Brothers series has been a long time favorite of mine and reading this book felt like I was being reunited with the family. I love the small town feel, the meddling parents and siblings. The Sunday family dinners. I’m also looking forward to Cole’s book even though I know it will be the last book. ...more
