Each book they wrote is flawless and the story sucks me in from the very beginning.
February and Brock are such opposites, but they have insane chemistry. So naturally when they finally decide to take a chance on a relationship life has other plans. I honestly wasn’t sure how this was going to play out, but I’m happy I stuck with book and loved how it all worked out in the end. I do hope we get future books with the brothers, especially Trevor.
If you like small town, opposite attracts, cinnamon roll hero’s and meddling family members this book is for you! ...more

Medium paced story which would be perfect for spooky season. Loved the gothic, haunted vibes of the story. Antonia wasn’t anyone to play with and I loved how she didn’t bow down to any of the men in the book especially when it was expected of her to be obedient and submissive to them. The book has some vivid graphic scenes that I enjoyed which definitely made me squirm. I think the horror genre might be my new jam. Carolina Flórez-Cerchiaro is an author I will definitely be reading again!...more

King of Ashes has become my new favorite book by S.A. Cosby! His writing just keeps getting better and better. This story was raw, gritty, and emotional. The story kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t wait to see how everything turned out. Trust me when I say this book ain’t for the weak, but it’s one heck of a story. Phew. All the stars and highly recommend!! ...more

For years I thought I wasn’t an historical fiction reader and Dolen Perkins-Valdez has proven that is so not the case. This is the second book I have read by this author and her writing and storytelling just pulls me in each time! As with “Take My Hand” I learned about Black history that I wasn’t aware of and that led me down the rabbit hole of researching. This is why reading is so important and I’m grateful for the access I have to these important stories! ...more

Aside from one twist I was pleasantly surprised and shocked at how things turned out. I will say I wasn’t a fan of the ending because as messy as this character was I wanted her to come out on top. This was my first time reading John Marrs and I will have to checkout his backlist titles....more
