Alright, so that felt a little empty, but these kinds of volumes seem like filler, let's also talk about Eva. I don't particularly like her character; she can be impulsive and irrational at times, but you know who's even more of a fool than her? Our very own Dr. Tenma. God, there are times when his thinking surpasses my comprehension. I get it—you're a doctor, you have to save lives—but please, stop talking....more

I don't see the logic in what lunge is doing; he's a really shady figure who frequently shows up in the most unexpected moments but never really establishes his significance. This book doesn't contain as many unexpected or exciting scenes, but I still find it fascinating how subtle, slow revelations keep us intrigued about what's going on. When they were deciding how to assist Tenma, I experienced a range of emotions from seeing all the individuals he has met and how influential he has been....more

Alright, so things now appear to be quite hopeful. I discover that this chain of events where I lose and then regain internet will go on, but hopefully I'm hanging on and I have to finish this now. The fact that they are now all in the same place makes me glad because I was losing my mind traveling back and forth. In any case, I think the idea and direction this is taking are appealing. Furthermore, I'm terribly sorry about Dr. Tenma....more

Alright, Johan's impersonation of Anna has to be the funniest thing ever. I also feel sorry for the investigator. I promise that Johan is a very skilled con man because of how ridiculously he is using Anna's voice. God, they are really elevating him to the status of a deity with remarkable powers....more

This has to be my favourite volume by far; I loved how the children's story was introduced and how it connected to Johan's life. The readers are also left wondering what it truly means to be a monster after reading this. I think it's great that Johan and Anna are being brought back to let us realize who they were before everything....more

Every other volume, I want to give up, but then something interesting happens, so I think I should keep going even though I think I don't enjoy it as much as other people did. Because only one person is doing everything and we never get to see how he's doing it, I think the plot is a little unrealistic....more

In addition to the core cast, a number of supporting characters were introduced in Volume 7, and I believe it's long overdue for Johan and Tenma to meet. However, I feel awful for poor Dieter. I feel like the plot is starting to pick up at this point, and I can't wait to see what is ahead for us....more

I am giving this volume 3.5 stars because, aside from my happiness that Johan is back, I feel that everything is redundant and that everyone is connected in some way. They gave me the impression that everyone in Germany is related to one another, that the nation is small, and that everyone is familiar with one another....more

We see a rat and mouse chase in this volume as well, with tenma and Nina chasing Johan and detective Lunge after Dr. Tenma while Johan is out of sight. This never-ending cycle of going here and there and the numerous supporting characters who ultimately appear to die are getting old. However, I'm grateful that we learned something new about Johan. I can't wait to see him once more....more

In volume 4, there was a great deal of action and a lot of character and story development. But the tale seems like it will go a little slowly. because Johan was last seen in the first volume and hasn't been seen in the last four volumes.
Additionally, I think the plot is a little off, but I still like the work that went into making such a thought-provoking artwork.
To be honest though, with all the action and the cat and mouse pursuit, I'm finding it a little hard to keep going....more

We see Johan's early years and his time spent in the orphanage in volume 3. I have read a few stories where the protagonist is a demented orphan, and I always find it interesting to watch how they turn out or are saved. These kinds of people are conceited, thus it's interesting to observe the underlying ideologies.
This volume also revealed that Dr. Temma has a cute little friend in the form of a young boy, who allows us to see the happier and more upbeat side of Dr. Temma.
Detective Lunge is undoubtedly an intriguing guy, particularly in the scene where his family leaves him and he reacts blankly. It makes me question if individuals like this ever find happiness. ...more
