What's this book is about?
- it's made up of letters written by Helene Hanff, an American writer, and Frank Doel, a British bookseller, and other employees at Marks & Co Bookshop in Charing Cross Road, London. Their correspondence spanned two decades, from 1949 to 1968. Frank passed away in 1968, never having had the chance to meet Helene in person. I'd like for everyone to read it. It's truly magnificent.....more

Maybe I'm just a heartless jerk, but I've never been moved by other people's struggles or life tales. I despise reading memoirs or autobiographies for the same reason: there is no value in them for me.
Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun looking at her doodling....more
