This delightful little book is like a warm hug and treat for all bibliophiles out there.

What's this book is about?

- it's made up of letters written by Helene Hanff, an American writer, and Frank Doel, a British bookseller, and other employees at Marks & Co Bookshop in Charing Cross Road, London. Their correspondence spanned two decades, from 1949 to 1968. Frank passed away in 1968, never having had the chance to meet Helene in person. (It makes me so sad just thinking that they didn't had the chance to meet eo in real life)

- It's about forging a long-distance friendship and forming a beautiful bond between two people who share a passion for reading. It's a small gesture, but it's incredibly touching. The photos at the end brought an extra dash of delight.

A film adaptation is also made, with Anne Bancroft as Helene and Anthony Hopkins as Frank.
