You see that cover? That cover is #winning exponentially! Want to know why? Because it tells the exact story. I am fully aware that this whole cover OCD I have is a me thing and most people don’t really even care at the level I do, but nothing scores more points with me than a cover that matches a story! Well done!
The thing that stood out the most to me about this story was how easy and light it all was. That’s not only refreshing but also necessary these days. The world is on fire and all I want is a little escape LOL This book is the perfect escape from the dumpster fire that is life right now. A slow burn, feel good, swoony romance that I hope will follow the same trends with upcoming books. It was sweet and sexy with just the right amount of heart and emotion!
Looking forward to Josh and Sara in December!!

It’s the equivalent of close proximity just with a deadly virus thrown in the mix. And there is nothing that develops better than close proximity in a friends to something more romance. It’s relatable. Yes, it’s real because we’re in it but if we weren’t, these ladies are talented enough to give us a real relatable story. You don’t have to take my word for it, just read the book ;)
It’s no secret I’m a fan of this author duo, I’ve mentioned it a time or two, so I’m not going to go on and on about their talent because I’ve done that many times before. I’ll just tell you that I enjoyed reading this story because it was easy (yes, well written and well developed lol). Cami and Eli were fun even when they were bickering! The chemistry was just great and made the story go by really fast! A lot of great zings in this book. I’m really looking forward to how they develop the rest of the friends in this series!

This little gem landed on my kindle a few days ago and everything pretty much stopped for me. If it wasn’t for Father’s Day I would have read this in This little gem landed on my kindle a few days ago and everything pretty much stopped for me. If it wasn’t for Father’s Day I would have read this in one sitting LOL
Not gonna lie, the prologue had me all kinds of nervous, and not in the way you probably think. I was worried that the violence in this book would overshadow the romance journey and I have to be in the mood to read those. But I’m a (author) junky now so nerves were only in play for two seconds max lol THIS.STORY. I don’t understand this word wizardry this woman has. No matter the tale, she spins it so well you are left speechless. Well, I am. *shrug*
Essence of Fear wasn’t just a story of Viktoria Boykov and Pavel Kotov getting to a place in life where they could have a HEA. This was a glorious story of growth and trust, finding your place and choosing your fate. I know, I know, how does one choose their fate when the very definition of the word includes phrasing such as development of events beyond a person's control. Well, you say screw those developments and take control of what (or who) you want … to be, to spend the rest of your life with, to be friends with, etc etc etc … You get my gist. This is what both Viktoria and Pavel reminded me of or made me feel about them. That is what I liked best about this book and that is what captivated me and kept me glued to every word.
This book seemed different from all the other books I’ve read by this author. It was more the delivery of the story than anything else. I don’t know, it’s like this story isn’t finished but it is! And again, this could just be me not having read enough or Bethany’s world(s) to really understand them fully. However, that doesn’t matter that much to me because what takes precedence in my head is Viktoria and Pavel, and they were perfect.
She didn’t even think about it before she crossed the room, reached up to catch his face in her palms, and then she pulled him in for a kiss. He didn’t hesitate to answer her back—his lips worked hard against hers while he took her breath away all at the same time. Yeah, he was still figuring things out. About the world. About life. About himself. But her? Them? She didn’t ever want him to wonder. Never. Viktoria pulled away from the kiss, but still stayed close enough that their lips grazed as she spoke. “You don’t have to ask anyone anything—I am always going to be yours. And you’re mine. I decided.” Pav smirked. “That’s how it is, then?” “That’s how it is.” “I like that.” She winked. “You better.”

As much as I adored Ben & Kylie and their journey, some of the secondary plot-points diminished my joy to the point of #twitchy. Mostly, I found the whole teammate sister conflict cliché and off putting. I wish one time it wouldn’t be the go-to conflict and to be honest, Pike’s (the teammate in question) actions were way out of proportion. These guys have known each other for one year, in what universe is that enough time to even pass judgement on how a person is or isn’t when it comes to relationships. The whole plot-point was just way too ridiculous for my grown mind to handle LOL It didn’t make me love Ben & Kylie less, but it sure did frustrate me.
This was a sweet romance with very little angst written into the storyline but the opportunity was there for it. The author made a choice not to delve too deep into the circumstances both Ben and Kylie brought into the relationship, which is not a bad choice perse, but it did make the story a bit superficial yet completely enjoyable. I know, that makes little sense, but it is what it is. I think my major joy about this story was Ban & Kylie’s characters and how they developed with each other. The rest was just background noise. *shrug* ...more

Corrado and Alcina were a blazing fire in all the ways! Their story is a perfect blend of sexy and suspense; neither overshadowed the other. Like I said, fire in all the ways! What this author is writing is bigger than just this book, you’re going to have to trust me on that. This world that she has created is a maze of enthralling proportions and it just doesn’t stop! The relationship between Corrado and Alcina is both passionate and sweet; a perfect blend of both. I’m sad to see the end of these gangsters, but I do not think this is the end of this world We shall see…...more

The characters and the timeline are interconnected to each other in this world that Bella has created so it is my opinion that if you want the best reading experience, you start with Machiavellian (book 1) and move forward from there. If you note the release dates for the three books thus far you will see how they’re not that far apart from each other and should give you yet another reason to read them in order.
I was blown away when I read Machiavellian and the author continued upping her game with Marauder. I mean the world she created was already suspenseful and dark and ridiculously alluring and yet she managed to make it even more. Honestly, it’s a bit shellshocking LOL There is never a moment of peace, if you will. The story just goes, goes, goes! It’s fantastic because not only is it written well, but you believe what is happening. I am seriously impressed with this author and this world and I am super stoked to see how she keeps upping her game in the future! ...more

Ben and Allison were great together! Their story was super fun and had me smiling from beginning to end! I especially enjoyed Ben because he was a relatable guy next door type of person. He wasn’t your typical cocky (no pun intended) hero and it just added a relatable aspect to the story. Can’t wait to read some more from this new to me author soon!!

Listen, stories such as these, can get real porn on paper (ish) real fast. That's a term I use for sexually driven short stories with very little plot or purpose except to titillate. I'm not not a fan of such stories, but it makes me ridiculously happier when I read that theme with a little more substance, and that's what Margot Scott wrote for us in Sharing Noelle. It's a well written, short, insta-HEA story, with a great storyline, that I can't think of a single person would not enjoy. So go forth a do that :)

As you can read, I was clearly entertained from the very beginning of this story. Hannah and Maverick were good together and I could imagine them together which added realism and made the story that much more engaging for me. Everything from the meet-cute to the road trip was filled with spark and clever back and forth; before I knew what was happening, the story was coming to an end. Well done!

Okay, now listen, you guys are going to hate Asher. It’s fine, you should, but you know what you’ll hate more? You’re going to really hate that he wins you over. #sorrynotsorry lol Now, you know who you will absolutely love and want to be just like? Yes, that’s right, Linda is a ridiculously great character. Every choice the author made with her made me super happy. This story read very real and relatable to me. Things happen in life (that’s me not giving away plot points lol). People tell a lie and don’t really understand its consequence until it bites them back. *shrug* It happens … I don’t want to go too far into this rabbit hole because I really like this story and don’t want to give any of it away.
Anywho, great chemistry with relatable characters and a surprising storyline. Go forth and enjoy!

There is always an underlying mystery / conflict that is more than just the romance journey conflict and it intrigues me to no end, which is why I never miss a read by her. Okay, that’s not totally true, there are some of her books I haven’t gotten to, but I will because I love her style, and they’re all just sitting on my kindle waiting!
So, Her Dirty Ranchers, yes, yes they are :) LOL *YUM* I really liked the choices Mika made for the characters in this story. She not only made Ruby adventurous, open, strong, and willing to take on whatever came her way, but she also made the dynamic of the men likeable and realistic. The relationship that Ruby has with each of the men is unique and once they grow into blending together, it is perfection.
This is the sixth book Mika has published in this reverse harem series and I am happy to report that it has yet to become repetitive in any way. Truth be told, it’s quite the opposite. There are times, with series such as this one, where the reader might get bored (for lack of a better term), with the sexual nature of the characters romance, or rather the sexual nature of the stories becomes repetitive, but so far, Mika has managed to be unique and exciting with each of the stories! I’m looking forward to reading more dirty men in 2021!!

That should be no surprise to anyone. She is consistent, as far as I have read, with her style and voice. That’s how she can get me to read a story of hers on one sitting lol Charging was no different on all fronts.
This is the 10th book in this series and although I didn’t find any reason why someone could not read this story without having read the rest of the team’s stories, it doesn’t mean you should not start from the beginning. The first book of this series that I read was the fifth but at the time, I immediately jumped back, and binge read the books because this is a team and obviously, the girl gets the guy so that’s not any kind of spoiler, but things that happen during their individual journeys could be revealed in books and those are spoilers. Wow, that turned out longer than expected LOL
Charlotte and Logan’s story had me all up in my feelings and some of them weren’t good. I got way frustrated with the back and forth because it honestly dragged on too long. Not my story to tell, but #JesusSaveMe from adults acting all kinds of mad-ridiculous. Seriously. That’s a peeve for me. It’s why I rarely dive into the world of New Adult. Those kids drive me bananas, but at least I expect them too lol it comes with the territory. I can’t do it with grown people. It gets my eyes rolling and no one wants that. Aside from that small thing, I found every aspect of the story chosen well by the author.
Go forth and enjoy a great sports romance story about how a GM and a player get their second chance to get it right :)

Also, this particular book ends in a pause to the journey and it’s necessary. This story is emotionally driven and fueled by a lot of heart wrenching conflict within our leads. They have a history. They have a past. They have struggles. Their life is dramatic and full of conflict. This is one of those stories where you dread turning the page at the same time as you can’t wait for the next chapter because it is hopeful. It is redeeming. It is love.
GAWD, my emotions were all over the place with this story and I feel, no, I know, the most uphill battle has yet to come. Let me tell you guys something I know, addiction of any kind is a destructive disease that doesn’t care who gets in its way. Its sole purpose is to destroy. To battle and win such a monster is a herculean feat. I do not know what lies ahead for our leads, but I do know that Kacey has done an exceptional job thus far with this story and I am looking forward to reading the second half of Chase & Alicia’s journey! She has written two beautifully scarred and imperfect soles destined to heal each other. It’s just perfect …
