Tudor and I was NOT disappointed. The Burning Girls has a sinister atmosphere with dark mystery and a supernatural plot. This book is a little bit mystery and a little bit horror, a perfect combination for my taste. I started to suspect a few twists, but this book was full of surprises that I certainly was left still completely shocked. The chilling suspense of this book makes it perfect for binge-reading, since you won’t want to put the book down! The ending is then handed to the reader in a perfectly wrapped, creepy bow. The book was a wild ride, and the ending was the perfect way to wrap up such an intensely twisted tale. If you’re looking for a creepy thriller with excellent writing, look no further. You should definitely check this one out!...more

I couldn’t put it down, I spent my entire Saturday reading it. If I Disappear was fast-paced and thrilling for the first 3/4 of the book, but the ending threw me off. I only gave this four stars because of the way it wrapped up. It definitely blew my mind, with all the twists, but I did find it a little hard to believe. I didn’t think it was not a fulfilling ending, as it sort of left me with more questions that needed answers. Maybe there will be a follow-up novel? Who knows. On a positive note, the writing was absolutely beautiful and the detail was thorough. Eliza did an amazing job at painting a vivid picture for the reader. The atmosphere was creepy, yet beautiful and terrifying, yet safe. She had excellent character building, and everyone seemed suspicious or crazy or creepy.
This book is incredibly unique and well worth the read. Don’t let the ending deter you, it’s still an awesome read! This is a book you can just dive right into and be completely immersed....more

As soon as Detective Poirot arrives, a doctor is found dead in a pool of blood. What was meant to be a fun country weekend, turned into a baffling case for Poirot.
The Hollow started off a bit slow, but picks up as soon as Hercule Poirot shows up in the story. I really love anything Agatha Christie has written. This wasn’t one of my favorites, but it was definitely good. I kept guessing and guessing, trying to solve the mystery, to no avail. The ending really shocked me!
If you’re looking to dig into Agatha Christie novels, this is definitely a good one!...more

This isn’t even my typical genre, but I fell madly in love with the author’s words immediately. The story, on its own, is unforgettably unique. The book jumps back and forth between Addie’s past and current timelines, which is 2014. I felt like each and every character was beautiful, and the romances along the way were emotional and heartbreaking.
This book made me feel every possible emotion and I was left devastated at the end. I actually needed a mental break to process the story and my feelings. I loved the entire story so much. I never wanted it to end. But it had to end.
And I’m left with a confusing feeling of loving Henry and Luc, just the same.

I loved the witty banter between Tommy and Tuppence, the main characters. The ending was what I was hoping for! There were a lot of twists to the plot, though. I wasn’t quite sure how it was going to end, since the clues kept pulling the reader in every direction. I only gave this one four stars because I figured out whodunnit about half way through the book. It was fast-paced and action packed throughout the whole read. It’s never a dull moment with Tommy and Tuppence! Although, the plot was a little outlandish, it was most certainly fun to read.
I love Agatha Christie books. They make me so happy. I highly suggest this one. It was most certainly an entertaining read!...more

I was expecting a sassy elderly woman taking the lead on a murder investigation. What I got was a bit of a boring, slow plot that barely included Miss Marple, as if she’d been sidelined. I did enjoy the basis of the plot and the final twist at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the bits of The Lady of Shalott. I remember reading that in middle school and falling in love with it! However, I was not too terribly surprised by “whodunnit” and the ending wasn’t exactly wrapped up neatly. I gave this 3 stars because Agatha Christie was a genius at writing mysteries, but this one just didn’t excite me much....more
Did you know Agatha Christie actually went missing for 11 days in 1926?! Whether you knew that or not, you’re in for a real treat with this book! The Did you know Agatha Christie actually went missing for 11 days in 1926?! Whether you knew that or not, you’re in for a real treat with this book! The real story claimed by Mrs. Christie herself, is that she had amnesia and had no idea what happened to her. There are several theories, though. The Mystery of Mrs. Christie is Marie Benedict’s take on the disappearance.
I am a huge fan of Agatha Christie, and always have been, so I jumped on this book immediately! I absolutely loved it! I don’t want to spoil the fun, but I can tell you it’s a VERY good conjecture on Agatha’s disappearance. This is by far, the best possible explanation I’ve heard! I honestly hope that it’s true. This novel is a “I am woman, hear me roar,” story and I loved every moment of it! Agatha Christie definitely comes out on top.
Also, Archie sucks.
I highly suggest this book whether you’re an Agatha Christie fan or not....more
