Presley has always been incredibly driven. She gets hyper focused and is a high achiever. But she recently got a wake up call and is trying to become more balanced. Hence her move to Dragonfly lake.
West is the sole provider for his girls and they are his world. He also has a rough history with love so he’d rather stay away from it. But there’s nothing wrong with a little fun.. until it begins to feel like a whole lot more.
Ah, I love these two. And the girls. This was such a smooth, enjoyable read. The way Presley and West developed, the friendship groups, the spice (there isn’t a lot of it but it’s done well). I just adore this series and these single dad’s finding their forever love.

“Survival is never selfish.”
Revenge. Perseverance. Justice. Ember is still learning to cope since getting her life back but she’s also on a mission. Normal doesn’t exist and things will never be the same, but she can move forward. She doesn’t realize just how powerful she is. Her story is inspiring. I don’t believe many would have survived it and now she’s working with the team to bring down the evil that tried to destroy her. However, it’s still a struggle for Ember to let them in. To trust. To believe she’s worthy of their love. Warner, Axel, Hyland, and Blaine, each filling a different void, will do what it takes to mend the broken pieces, provide comfort and safety, and prove to Ember she’s worthy of love. Rules are important. Rules help keep them safe. But they’ll break every single one, for her. Ravaged Soul is raw, real, and powerful. And yes, we have another epic cliffhanger!!
Jess creates worlds of the darkest, soul crushing, life altering nature that pull you in, break you, and put you back together. Characters you connect to, sob over, and root for. Stories that you think of long after you’ve read the last page. Don’t miss out on this one.

I’m blown away. This is an Incredible story. Flat out brilliant. I’m stumped for how to review it without spoiling. But I am obsessed!! I had I feeling I would like this book, but it’s so much better than I could have imagined. Listen. I AM OBSESSED. Yes that phrase gets overused and I said it twice, but I am at a loss here. I can’t stop thinking about them. Kade and Stacey rewired my brain. They share a soul deep love, forever connected, yet at the same time are drowning with pain and anger inflicted by one another. It’s messy, toxic, and devastating. My heart was racing on more than one occasion. This is one of those times I wish I was better with words because this book deserves them all.
I did an immersive read and let me tell you this audio is superb. It’s full cast narration by Teddy Hamilton, Lucy Rivers, Shane East, JF Harding, Michelle Sparks, Zara Hampton-Brown, and Roxelana Waters. I think this is my favorite audiobook ever. If it were up to me they would get all the awards right now. Hands down. No notes.

Reed is the epitome of a green flag golden retriever. He is selfless and kind. Always putting others first, especially his mom. But he knows a lot is missing. Reed wants the happily ever after. The wife. Kids. He just needs some help getting there. Step one: getting over the bestie he thinks he’s in love with.
Cue Hayley Jackman. Hayley is one of my favorite FMC ever. Her confidence and empathy shine. She’s is hilarious and the way she tortures Reed had me on the floor kicking my feet. Somewhat of a role reversal here because she definitely makes the moves and brings the temptation.
This is a slow burn but it is worth the wait. All the little moments leading up are done so well. I’m still thinking about that airport kiss Katherine! The best is when you love characters individually and then even more when they’re together. That’s what we have here with Reed and Hayley. So much to love. How they help each other, the playful banter, sizzling chemistry. The way Katherine blurred that line, of when friends become so much more, chef’s kiss. Definitely another win for the San Francisco End Game series.

You can always expect a lot of love in a Laura Pavlov book. Something that I look forward to is that it’s about more than one couple. It’s also about the friends and family relationships. You can expect the BEST family dinners!! Fun text threads and in Eloise & Clark’s case, the pull up bar scene-ya that’s a good one. IYKYK. Beefcake will forever be my favorite kid. Love the girl gang. Clarke and Eloise had a tricky road to their happy ending but it was a sweet one.

Ezra is looking for a little fun after upturning her life and leaving med school. So how about working at an amusement park for a little adventure. But what happens when meaningless fun starts to become more.
I had a harder time with this one especially in the beginning. The last quarter was the best for me. But I never truly felt attached to the characters. I just didn’t feel their connection I guess. I appreciated the chronic illness representation and thought it was done with care. I enjoyed Noah a little more than Ezra, maybe he was more relatable? I did like the idea of a man creating the theme park for the town, to take care of them. But overall this just didn’t stand out to me or leave a mark, and that’s ok. Not every book is for every person.

I really enjoy second chance and especially when it’s done like this. Corinne hit it out of the park.
Violet and Everett shared a deep love but it was also young love, and life took them in opposite directions. Years later, and a dirty cheating husband, brings Violet back home to Ember Falls. Everett has never really moved on and I suspect fate had a hand in that because he is everything and more for Violet. There is a twist to this one and I loved how it played out. I swooned so hard. I also appreciated the reality of life and how it was handled. I don’t want to give anything away but it only made me love Everett more. He is something special. This is just the sweetest romance and made my heart happy. I did an immersive read. Andi Arndt and Robert Hatchet performed in duet and I really enjoyed it. They were the perfect team.

You’re gonna get me with second chance all day, but throw in a forbidden step sibling trope and you might get a present. Cash and Bellamy delivered. Knew they would, but they were so much more. The ease of their connection-you know they’re meant to be from the jump. The depth and pull. Also the sacrifice. Can’t forget the pining and angst. And the spice… It’s all so delicious.
The found family in this series is a highlight. I also have to mention the funny moments between the twins. Maverick deserves a special shout out because he’s a riot. I know his book is going to crush and I can’t wait.

This story is intense. So much trauma, past and present. Now fighting for control. Some want peace, but more want revenge. I feel for them all because when you go through hell it changes you. Corrupts you. Now someone has to pay the price. But Artemis seems to be paying the most. You can tell there are deep scars for others. I’m so excited for what’s developing between Saint and Kade. Keep pushing it away all you want Saint, it’s going to happen!! Fingers crossed of course. Kade you have some explaining to do. Reese, I’m falling. Gabriel is going to break. I feel it. WHAT A FLIPPING CLIFFHANGER. Dang it Sara!! Forget breaking my heart, you may have shattered it.
The multicast duet narration dream team of Teddy Hamilton, Aaron Shedlock, Connor Crais, & Michelle Sparks slayed this one!! I’m talking full of emotion, bring to life, slam dunk. You’ll definitely want this in your ears.

Well it’s official, I took a trip to Silver Saddle Ranch and I found a new place I want to call home. Because that’s what this book was. Welcoming. A place you can go when you need a little help. To find comfort and love. And that’s where Jensen went after he was blindsided by the fact he has a 5 year old son he knew nothing about. Blair is his best friend’s little sister and she steps in immediately to assist as the nanny. They share an instant attraction backed by amazing chemistry. It’s also a really sweet connection. From tragedy and temporary to hopeful and forever. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Bluebell, Montana.
“So, we’re going to jump?” “I think we’re already in the free fall, Ms. Monroe.”
This was a fun time. Belle and Makoa are on opposite sides when it comes to dating. Both have been burned. Belle just wants the fun (and spice) and Macoa is looking for something deeper. Gosh he’s a gem. A total romantic. These two have such a natural and easy connection. The banter comes quick and the swoon follows. I ate this up. If you haven’t picked up Kandi yet, get on it!!

Shattered Promise is a delicate slow burn with the perfect amount of pining. It’s about love, finding your path, and putting yourself first. Abby and Mason have known each other for years, each secretly admiring the other. Circumstances have them back in each other’s orbit and the pull is too much to resist. Mason is a new dad-I swooned so hard. He just needs a little help and Abby is happy to assist. I appreciated how they took their time. The natural bond Abby forms with Theo. The texts, family time. It was great coming home to Avalon Falls; a warm welcome. You can also expect a bit of suspense with a big twist at the end. I surely didn’t see it coming.

This was so cute. The vibes, the setting, the dynamic. I really enjoyed it.
Lucy goes through a transformation in this book. It’s gradual and slow, but absolutely perfect. I loved watching her character grow into her confidence. She’s sweet and endearing. She’s a dreamer. And a great example of how we are all different and that’s what makes us special. Her creativity and passion for art made her so relatable to me.
Felix had some growth of his own but it’s a bit more sudden. He’s always on top of things; success is his priority. Until he realizes business isn’t everything. The way he switched gears to put his focus on Lucy touched my heart. He’s a keeper for sure.
Although this was mostly upbeat, witty and charming, it does deal with some heavy topics. They were handled with care but just wanted to mention so you’re prepared.

“From sin we are born, and through sin we are revealed.”
This story is layered and Eva does a masterful job of slowly peeling back each one. From the gripping plot to the tortured characters. The quiet speaks loudly here. The pain is smothering. And honestly, this one line sums up the entire book for me, “From sin we are born, and through sin we are revealed.” It’s intricate. Passionate. And dark. But through the darkness Alex and Mila are reborn. This book is so good!! I would recommend starting with book one (Saint) for the best experience.

If you’re looking for a book that’s gonna make you smile, this is the one. It’s a sweet, heartfelt story about finding your way. Finding love. Finding your people. Finding peace. It’s emotional. Tender. Joyous. With plenty of out loud moments.
You’re going to fall hard for Penn. He was a beautiful surprise. Noble and protective. Addy’s his perfect match. The way she walked in and stepped up next to him for Sam got me. Penn and Addy made it so easy to love this one but Sam snatched my heart. He is a selfless kid that had to grow up too fast. The way he watches over Winnie.. brings tears to my eyes right now as I write this. I just love that kid. This is a true found family that made my heart soar. An easy five star read for me.
Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin were perfection. The emotions, the flow, the depth. I felt it all. I think this just became my new comfort listen.

Deep Thrall is book 2 in the Immortal Empire series and you must read Blood Bride first. I was mesmerized listening to this cast. Completely captivated the entire time; perhaps even in thrall. I would not be surprised due to the talent of this crew: Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Rose Dioro, Dane Anderson, Scott Turner Schofield, and Marcus Rothenberg went above and beyond. Their performances deserve all the awards and praise. This is a fantastic story but an even better experience. I can’t wait for book 3!!

If you want to read a book with good energy, this one is for you. It’s so witty and charming. I had a laugh out loud good time. But it’s also sweet and tender. The relationship between Ollie and Lottie is a special one and I think part of it is because of Lottie’s little sister Hayley. Lottie has the world on her shoulders trying to care for Hayley. And she’s doing it alone until Ollie finds out. All I’ll say is that the unconditional love between the three made my heart melt. I smiled so much reading this book. I laughed and I cried. You should definitely check it out.
“Hayley’s smile got bigger, and my chest tightened. I decided then and there that making this little girl smile was going to be my new favourite pastime.”
