As Andy Dahl and his friends gradually realize that their world is actually part of a badly written TV show, they decide to take back control.
If you've watched any amount of Star Trek, you'll know what happens to the folks in the red shirts. In this novel, the red shirts fight back and have more agency than their TV counterparts. The jokes in this book are many and fun. Even if you don't watch a lot of sci-fi, you'll likely enjoy reading this. And for those who catch the references, you will find loads of inside jokes and fun.
The codas to the book are different in tone, and I didn't enjoy them as much as the main story. Some readers may appreciate the extras, but for me, I just enjoyed reading the main novel and getting some comic relief....more
