This book was fun, light, and full of enough magic and mystery to hold you over until the next spooky season.
This book had all of the best tropes! Second chance romance, grumpy x sunshine, forced proximity, and friends to lovers. Aria and Owen were former high school sweethearts who got torn apart by The Authority (basically the magical police) after Aria tried to share the truth about witches at a party. Now over a decade later, Aria finds herself in need of a place to stay and ends up being roommates with none other than Owen.
I enjoyed Aria and Owen’s relationship but the constant miscommunication was just not it. They went back and forth a lot with each other and it got tedious at times. Owen’s grand gesture at the end made up for some of the miscommunication IMO. Overall, this is a quick and enjoyable read! If you’re looking for a fun, low angst second chance romance this is the book for you.
Thank you to the author, Colette Rivera, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
