It is part of a series, and I highly recommend reading the first book so it makes sense! I find this series heavy on the magical plot and lighter on the romance, so if you're looking for something super swoony, this probably isn't for you.

Unfortunately, while the author’s writing was solid, the plot was a little too much for me, starting with the hero discovering the heroine in a flipped-over car and then proceeding to save her before the car went down a cliff. The leads then found themselves stranded at a hotel where a singles mixer was taking place, and naturally, there was only one bed available.
The premise of this book was so fun, but the insta-love between the characters and the overly territorial hero made this book a miss for me.

It was more general fiction than romance, with the focus being on the heroine’s quest to regain her identity. The romance between the leads didn’t wow me, and I found myself sticking around for the main identity plot, which I enjoyed. The secondary characters also stole the show.
