Honestly a big let down. There felt like there was a big of regression on their relationship when it should have progressed. Talking about sharing as if it was the very first time they had suggested it, rather than it being months later of being in a poly relationship and living together?
All the plot reveals were obvious and meh. The only surprising thing was the “cliffhanger” of book 3. Two years of back and forth, beating around the bush and all that shit.
I wasn’t a fan of the multi POVs, I don’t think it added anything. I don’t know why that changed after the first book. ...more

A big disappointment! The first book was quite good but this was just long self help/ seminar like monologing with most of the POVs not being the FMC.
The storyline felt like it fizzled. Especially with the sudden ending like that. I think the author was trying to go for dramatic cliffhanger but it really gave oh shit I need to include this and I’ve ran out of time, just ram it in.
It was also very obvious the last hive was going to be a woman.
I’m going to try the next in the series to see if it gets any better but I’m not holding out hope.
*edit* It seems the author rewrote this book due to backlash from readers. Not to sound mean, but it really shows. The long self help/ seminar vibe was a response to situation. The author directly drew from that to both kinda chide the readers who were mean to her and to kinda support/ soothe herself? But too much. Too many monologues. ...more
