And I don’t think I could find a swoonier pair of MCs. This best friends to lovers story was such a great comfort read and I loved seeing these two get their HEA.
Jamieson and Griff have been inseparable since meeting one another in school and joining the rodeo circuit together with Jamieson’s bull riding skills and Griff being a bull fighter. Over the course of their friendship, Griff has been reluctant to share things with Jamieson such as his father’s struggles with alcohol and declining health and his failed relationships. But one big thing he’s kept to himself is his feelings for the sweet bull rider.
Jamieson is beyond the sweetest MC and goes above and beyond to show his feelings for Griff who has struggled with relationships. He pulls out all the stops to show Griff he’s worthy of love and that he can be that shoulder for him to lean on.
Loved the cameos and such an appropriate one from The Broken Horn Ranch series! I am definitely looking forward to Hunter and Gabe’s story in the next book!...more

Ok, maybe he’s a little nervous too and provides random food facts when he gets flustered but that only adds to the charm of Jackson Sutherland in the first book of the Kissing Ridge series.
Riley and Jackson have their meet cute moment in a park but it’s not until these two get to know one another as friends that romance really takes hold. Both MCs have their own things to work through and I enjoyed reading the journey that these two take. Learned a few interesting food facts as well!
Definitely looking forward to more from this series. I know Jamieson and Griff are next and I can’t wait but besides upcoming stories, I absolutely love a surprise cameo and that was a fun surprise and hoping to see more of them to come....more
So happy to finally read Heath’s story and if you need a little sunshine on a cold day, Heath’s story is just the ticket. Having read the prior books So happy to finally read Heath’s story and if you need a little sunshine on a cold day, Heath’s story is just the ticket. Having read the prior books in the series, I’ve been introduced to Heath and Jeff. He’s been a great side character, sweet, maybe a little naive but always willing to help out. In this book, he meets the new resident tattoo artist of the town, Marko, and new discoveries are made.
Hands down, I absolutely love how RM Neill crafts her characters. I always get such a good feel for them while reading. I love how Marko is just so taken by Heath’s personality and finally opens up about things in his past that he’s kept hidden and run from. Heath changes as well over the course of the story and I enjoyed seeing him grow into his own and accept that change doesn’t mean forgetting about things that are important to you.
I think I’m probably one of those expressive readers who face shows what is happening in the book and I’m pretty sure that for most of the story, I probably had a grin on my face and maybe a little tears here and there because who knew Heath and Jeff would make my eyes leak. Seeing that side of this sunshine character wasn’t something I was prepared for but made his character so much more than I anticipated.
And Jeff-I don’t think I’ve usually discussed animal characters in my reviews but he gets an honorable mention with how big of a part he plays in Heath’s life and how Marko and him meet. Happy that frisky bird got his HEA too. ...more

This was a spinoff of the Leaning N series and it was nice to see some characters from that series in this read. It follows Kyler and Austin who are a pair of single dads navigating kindergarten, kids parties and finding love in the unlikeliest of places.
This low angst read gave holiday vibes as the MCs find themselves play date partners after their kids become friends in school and Kyler figuring out parenthood post rodeo life. Kyler’s daughter, Paige, is new to the area but befriends Dallas (Austin’s son) after standing up to some bullies of his. Kyler and Austin’s friendship grows into something more as Kyler discovers more about who he is and realizes his attraction to Austin.
I love a found family story and seeing this group develop into that was a good read. It’s more of a slow burn read that focuses on the developing relationship between the two MCs and wrapped up with a good HEA. I haven’t read the prior books in the series but this can absolutely be a standalone read. I read a complimentary copy and this is my honest and fair review. ...more

I’ve enjoyed reading about the characters in this small Wyoming town and thought Neil and Connor were a good send off.
Both characters have been constants through the series and although they approach things from different angles, both have the safety and security of the town and its people as their primary concern so it was fitting that these two would end up with one another.
Connor has been a thorn in Neil’s side as his unconventional style frustrates the traditional small town sheriff. But he’s just the perfect person to help Neil deal with some difficult personal issues that he’s been facing and finally get the emotional support he needs. Seeing these two work through their issues and finally realize the feelings they have for one another was a good read and a great ending for the series. Looking forward to see what Connor’s former team get themselves into! ...more

My first time reading this author and noI’ve had a number of people highly recommend this series and after reading this, I completely understand why. My first time reading this author and now this series is on my list to go back and read. I was able to read this as a standalone without reading any prior books.
This was such an emotional read as both characters really go through it during this book and their shared history with one another and this town that doesn’t seem to be inclined to forgive and forget.
Aiden is a hot mess in so many ways although he’s good at his job at the ranch. The carefree attitude, going out of his way for people, flirts with everyone and at times seems to have no regard for his own well-being hides so much pain and hurt. And Seth also carries the painful burdens of his past along with the disdain of the town but he’s chosen to hole himself away at the his family ranch and become a recluse.
Seeing these two work through the demons of their past to get through the truth of who they are and what they mean for one another was such a journey. Someone told me that these characters loved hard and I cannot think of a better way to summarize the way these two characters feel for one another. This definitely is a story that will stay with me for some time and I am looking forward to reading the entire series. ...more

Something about seeing that close and wonderfulI know I might have mentioned it before but a friends to lovers is one of my absolute favorite tropes. Something about seeing that close and wonderful friendship develop into something more as you get to know the characters is comforting in some way. The sly glances and meaningful looks and that realization moment just do it for me. This second installment of the Windsor Wyoming series is a low angst friends to lovers read with two easy going best friends.
Austin is a nighttime photographer (anyone else love learning about different professions while reading?) who has been coming to terms with his wife’s passing. Their brief but intense marriage has remained with him but he’s finally at a place where he feels like he can date again and his best friend and longtime crush is once again on his mind. Meanwhile Cal has kept his feelings for Austin under wraps and has been a constant support for him. Austin makes it clear that he wants their friendship to take the next step and leaves Cal at a difficult spot.
It’s a little bit of a slow burn story as it takes time for these two MCs to come to terms with their feelings and work through what it all means for their friendship. I feel for Cal’s character and how he wrestles with the unknown. Does he take the plunge and reach for something he’s wanted for such a long time or leave things as is and not risk losing one of the most important people in his whole life if it doesn’t work out.
I enjoyed seeing how things work out for these two MCs and their HEA was well deserved. I’m curious as to where the series will go from here as I think something is brewing between some characters and I wonder how that will play out!...more
