I really enjoyed watching these two go from friends, to both realizing they have feelings, to exploring to being in love. I absolutely loved the friend group and the found family aspect of them and the support they all gave.
When Maddox finally took a stance again the swim coach and certain members of the team, I was so happy!
This was a first read from this author and first in a new series. I liked these two and can't wait for more of this series....more

I know I know the events lead to the meet cute of Eli and Alex, but you're telling me that an ex-mob associate can't check the pulse of guy to see if he's really dead or not, ummmm yeah ok.
Also another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was there was no talk of Eli being trans that we saw. There were a few comments here and there but when it came time it was just glossed over, it really made it hard to believe that these two had a meaningful connection when something major wasn't talked about....more

The lack of romance or anything until almost the end made their relationship seem unauthentic and the pacing was just wayyyyy off for me. They were way to wishy washy to fully enjoy them as a couple.

Alan is such a ray of sunshine that when he meets the grumpy hook up of his best friend/roommate, also a long time crush, he is shocked to say the least.
I enjoyed watching theses two constantly cross path after they actually meet, its like the universe was trying to tell them something. These two are really the opposite but somehow they work really well together.
I loved how Jonah slowly began to heal his heart. It only took the right person to show him that he can love again.Such an emotional read.
