All These Things I’ve Done was the ultimate comfort and deliciously good read.
I fall in love with Zevin’s writing. Her characters are PHENOMENAL! Anya Balanchine, she is such an honest. I was with her every step of the way. And even through I didn’t get I chance to meet her father, he seemed like a wise man(even though he was a notorious crime boss.)Who shaped Anna to be the young brilliant lady she is today. Family and the people close to her mean EVERYthing. She goes through hell to keep everyone safe and protected. They’re what keeps her going. Loved Win too...he is so sweet, intelligent and honorable. I know some people have expressed how her best friend, Scarlet, kind of “betrayed” her. But I didn’t get that impression at all. Yeah she did a “girl code no no” but who doesn’t make mistakes every now and then. AND clearly she’s still Anya’s BF. She’s a loyal friend and hopefully it stays that way.
You guys should definitely read this, if you like dystopian and a dash of contemporary. Strong female protag, great characters and plot. THEN JUST READ IT! you won’t regret it, seriously. I’m so addicted, I don’t even need the chocolate or caffeine just give me the 2nd book! lol...more

I’ve always wondered I think I just got my first taste of paranormal, dystopian, urban fantasy, action, mystery, suspense fused all in one epic book!
I’ve always wondered what would happen if vampires couldn’t control their hunger...and Tucker created just that. Anathema is VERY original. I haven’t read anything like it. There was a lot of dystopian elements and fuse that in with paranormal, vampires, and sorcerers...I know awesome is kind of an over exaggerated word but it really was awesome!
Tucker doesn't stray far away from how vampires are...they’re beautiful and deceiving...Talk about creating characters you love to hate but can’t seem to hate lol ahem Viggo and Mortimer. I didn’t know if I could trust Sophie either at the beginning but she was genuinely in a “prickle” and really cared about Evangeline’s wellbeing. Even Sophie told Evangeline she was too trusting, I have to agree. That’s what makes her human, she’s vulnerable and naive. Evangeline did prove herself, I mean she has some serious back bone. Not that I’m saying she can take on two lovesick strong vampires, but in the end I didn’t expect the whole twist of events to happen the way they did.
As for Caden, Amelie, Fiona, Bishop and Max i LOVED them. They all had their own personalities, they just shined. Caden is so HOT lol I wonder if Tucker will write a story from Caden’s POV. He is such an interesting character...I want to know him, his story, from being human to turning into a vamp.
I’m so so anxious to read book 2! A Definite MUST READ!! Anathema is one of my new faves of 2011. ...more

Her latest; A Temptation of Angels is a wicked combination of Angels, a Strong female protag, and Historical Fiction that you won't be able to put it down. You'll love Helen Cartwright!
Helen has good head on her shoulders, she doesn’t fall head over heels for a guy or let it clutter up her thoughts. She’s a girl on a mission. I’m just gonna say it, she is AWESOME! Loved her bravery and tenacity. She’s up there with the other fierce leading ladies. There is a guy...well three! Griffin and his brother Darius. Think of them as Sam and Dean from The TV show Supernatural. They’re just as clever and tough as them. But then we have Raum, who I’m kind of on the fence about, his intentions aren’t clear but actions speak louder then words and he’s is good in my book(for now.) I really liked Zink’s secondary characters as well, Anna. Which I’m sure there’s something going on between her and Darius. There’s more to their story and I dying to know!
I’ve always loved Zink’s writing and story telling. She never disappoints, with A Temptation of Angels I was totally surprised and blown away. The plot is exhilarating, fulled with dynamic characters and an intriguing new world. The awesome-ness will appeal to teens across the board, I’m sure of it. The 1st book in a riveting new series, introducing the strong heroine Helen Cartwright, which will satisfy teens looking for action, romance and adventure. It's addicting!...more

I can see DeuEnclave has to be one of the most realistic of the Dystopian’s out there. Aguirre put so much into this book and it showed…for the good.
I can see Deuce up there with the other kick a** leading ladies (right next to Katniss, Tris and Katsa) she is a Huntress after all, her training showed and so does her loyalty to her partner Fade and her friends. Deuce’s old enclave leaders, the elders were so naive. Their decisions lead them to destruction, and ultimately taking everyone down with them. I'm glad that Deuce and Fade got out of there, I think it was eye opener for Deuce, showing her where her leaders and friends loyalties lie.
The fighting scenes are awesome, Deuce and Fade make a good team. While Fade is still a mystery to me, he has a tough exterior (very protective) and fierce. The only issue I have with him is that he could be hot and cold when it comes to his feelings for Deuce (which I think some of it has to do with some jealous and you know, the obvious reason, trying to survive.) Oh I almost forgot to mention Stalker. He is a haunting character, strong and lethal. At first his intentions were unclear, but I believe in second chances, hopefully he can redeem himself in Outpost.
Enclave is Astounding, Epic, and beautifully written. I look forward to reading more of Deuce and Fade. Especially with that ending (it almost seems too good to be true.) I could not put this book down, you’d have to literally pry it from my hands, and I’m still thinking about it! But I sure do know one thing, I don’t know what to be more afraid of the “Freaks” or Aguirre's terrify version of the future.
Looking for your next dystopian read? Try Enclave. You won’t regret it!...more
The Hourglass is a MUST READ! Time traveling, ghost (aka rips), and a steamy romance(good guys included), do I need to say more?
This book wasn’t what The Hourglass is a MUST READ! Time traveling, ghost (aka rips), and a steamy romance(good guys included), do I need to say more?
This book wasn’t what I expected, actually, I didn’t know what to expect really. The best part about Hourglass, was that it kept me on my toes (unless I skipped ahead to see if Michael was ever going to kiss Em lol)
We meet Emerson “Em” whose had a rough past. After everything that’s happened, I don’t know if being part of the Hourglass is a good thing or bad thing. But she meet’s Michael and they have this electrifying attraction (like literally.) I never questioned Michael’s motives because he is a genuine, good guy. He has a little bit of a hero complex, He put’s everything above himself for the greater good. I appreciate that about him. As for Kaleb, I got the guy. I liked him. I read in a Novel Novice interview with McEntire that “ He’s not part of a love triangle. He’s part of a love …two-angle and a half. It’s largely one-sided.” Kaleb cares about Michael too much to go after Em. That’s what makes Kaleb so swoon worthy(and totally available lol). We'll just have to see what happens... #TEAMGOODGUYS!
I loved McEntire’s elegant writing, woven together perfectly with characters I know you’ll love. They’re a family – not matter what. They’re so many twists in this story, it keeps you turning the pages. I can’t wait to see what happens next! More time-traveling-awesome-Em-with-Micheal-on-the-side-please!...more

I was literally left speechless...Gods & Goddesses , Villains, Suspense...all wrapped in one bookie goodness. I definitely had to brush up on some of my Native American Mythology, that's for sure!
There were times when I thought I was being pulled in many different directions with all the characters. But I didn’t mind. Even though Ashline was the main protag, it was still awesome to get to know the secondary characters. It’s something you really don’t see a lot in books, Knight pulled it off flawlessly.
Honestly I’m not mad about ending, kind of saw it coming “in my minds eye or whatever.” But I’m definitely mad about Rolfe! He was such a great guy. And Eve...can’t hate her even though she is just EVIL. She made the story entertaining...one of the meanest villains I know. I really feel sorry for Ash.
This is an Epic series. Not one to miss! Now that Ash has once again gotten herself into a situation, wondering what going to happen in Embers & Echoes! Ah the suspense is killin’ me!...more

This book is definitely heartbreaking and exhilarating.Zara and the Gang go through everything...grief, love, redemption.
Zara is constantly trying to prove to herself and to everyone that pixies can do good. She’s witnessed it, in their sacrifices. With Bedford turning into the Hell Mouth itself, trust and good pixies are pretty much needed. Zara is surrounded by good friends, family, and a wonderful King. With them Zara can do anything. Now i know who Zara and here friends remind me of! Buffy and her friends Xander and Willow...all of them in their own funny and witty way lol and lets not forget the kicking some bad pixie butt!
With Nick gone...and Astley around, it I think I’m switching teams! I mean gosh who wouldn’t be swept away by Astley. He’s so cute when he tries to be perfect and he clearly has feeling for Zara. He wants her to be happy so he helps her find Nick. I think that's a Bonus, bonus bonus, we have a winner, TEAM ASTlEY!
Carrie Jones is one of my favorite authors...i can’t tell you how many times I’ve converted “vamp lovers” into “pixie lovers” lol. I can’t wait for the 4th book!!...more
I wanted to know what exactly anyone was raving about. I don’t think you can compare Divergent to The HBreathtaking…page turner…dystopian at its best.
I wanted to know what exactly anyone was raving about. I don’t think you can compare Divergent to The Hunger Games at all. The book speaks for itself. It’s beautiful and thrilling. I devoured every page—and I loved it.
All the characters stuck out in some way to me. Beatrice “Tris” is one tough cookie. She has been through a lot… She doesn’t like to show her vulnerability to the outside. I admire her for that, with her I get this safe feeling; I think that’s the selfless part of her. She rather put herself in front of the bullet. That’s what makes her such a great honorable heroine, she came into the Dauntless fraction as the underdog, when everything was all said and done she came out on top as one of the smartest and toughest. As for Four “Tobias” my first thought of him was “wow he’s tough and yummy” he definitely has some of the traits “Tris” has. But he showed more of his vulnerability (not to everyone but to Tris) they have so much in common. I reading enjoyed reading the love story between Four and Tris, their stolen moments together, there is definitely a strong connection.
Veronica Roth is now one of my favorite authors, she rocked this book, and this one is not to be missed. Divergent…is one of the best books I’ve read all year, completely stunning! Great plot, spectacular genuine characters, hot romance! What more do you want?
I can’t wait to read Insurgent. But in the meantime, I’m will be recommending this book for a while. I can’t get it out of my mind, oh and the ending! Wow I need to know whats going to happen!! Don’t you?

But surprisingly I really liked this book.... II would have never, ever picked up a book like this, with the whole incest...taboo, controversial subject....
But surprisingly I really liked this book.... I am glad to say that Forbidden has fallen into my ultimate YA comtemp list.
Putting all of my beliefs and opinions aside. I was able to connect with the characters, and fall into this mind blowing and heartbreaking story. Suzuma’s writing was one of my favorite aspects of the book, she puts so emotions into these characters. I became really invest in their will being. Their struggles are heartbreaking. I don’t know how a brother/sister could ever love each other in that way. But I was just viewing them as two people in love. I really don’t know how I blocked the whole incest thing out but I just did. The thought of viewing your brother in that was is just...EEek!*I don't when want to go there, I can't even think it*
I REALLY hated their mother. All she cared about was herself. She’s the reason these whole turn of events happened and definitely for the worse. She played a big role in this catastrophe, I want to put the blame on her so badly but I can’t, Maya and Lochan knew what they were doing. Playing with fire. I didn't want things to turn out the way they did but in the back of my mind the whole thing was just wrong... it was a disaster waiting to happen. What did they do to deserved such a cruel punishment... they’ve done everything they were suppose too...if only they weren’t brother and sister!
In the end, I enjoyed this book, you have to keep and open mind. I think people might be thrown off my the story line but that's not why I continued to read. This book is beautifully written, I was glad that Suzuma wrote this book in both Lochan and Maya’s POV, they are well developed characters, their emotions leaped right off the page, I felt their struggle and pain. But now their story has been told, I’m left thinking to myself, wow, we take so much stuff for granted, especially love. This book is tear-jerker, I cried, I rarely do these days! I love Forbidden and I hope you all do too ;) ...more

I like that in a female heroine. The main character, Clara creates a great balance between being a hero and being a normal teen, with a little crash course in the learning to fly department would help but i think she has it in the bag! Oh and did I mention Unearthly is like *heavenly sound* absolutely brilliant!
This book is just made of awesome... Cynthia Hand...wow. She created such dynamic characters and plot. Although I thought Clara’s purpose would be more... epic like saving the town from a huge fire, but i was happy with it. Besides there is a twist and it kind of seems like it’s leading to something BIG.
While Christian stole others hearts Tuck stole mine. Honestly I didn’t really like Christian i mean yeah he’s hot but he didn’t really give Clara a chance. He has his own drama to deal with.He just seem like he was on this high unobtainable pedestal. And then there is Tuck, totally crushing on Clara but let’s just say he went the hard way in getting Clara’s attention. He’s turns out to be a great guy. The characters are all such a joy to read, from their witty personality to their honesty.
Things are just getting started, Cynthia Hand’s fabulous debut Unearthly will leave you in an aw with it’s unraveling tale of angels, love and destiny. And may I add awesome writing. Cynthia's so very talented... she puts a great new spin on Angels.I look forward to reading her next book!...more

I can honesty say I love all the characters Andrea created, they all had depth, it was such a interesting experience getting to know all of them as a whole. Mason and Nev seriously need there own novella( so does Ansel,Bryn, and the rest of the gang lol)
The main character Calla definitely takes on the leader role. She has so much strength but she’s also shows some vulnerable I read so much books about Alpha males it was fun to mix it up with a character like Calla. As for Ren, it take me a little bit to like him because I thought he was a playboy, I mean sure, he was hot and very savvy. But soon I realized that Ren’s a good guy and he has Calla’s best interest at heart.I began to fall for him lol. I like Shay from the very beginning...it’s a total bookworm and smart...yeah he’s bank!
It almost feels like there's a touch of dystopian in this novel, With the guardians, keepers and searchers, living among the humans. The Humans almost fear them. That’s how awesome Andrea crafts the Nightshade world. The intensity of Calla’s love interests and addictive plot will keep you turning the pages! I don't know where to start...this book is heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time. I loved every minute of it, the characters, the flashbacks, the plot line.
Lenah is fierce and full of compassion. With the flashbacks we get to see how Lenah before she was human… and I mean she was ruthless…Rhode…I wish he didn’t have to got. But he(along with Justin and Tony) taught Lenah so much. The characters are written amazingly, Rebecca creates such honorable characters, then all begun something to the table; In light and in darkness…
Lenah pulls off the teen scene for being um…kinda old. But she picked up fast. I love the relationship between Justin and her… it was sweet and full of passion.
I never wanted this book to end it was completely captivating! I can’t wait to read Stolen Nights *P.S. Maizel I need a Synopsis for book two!! :D I have to know what happens lol* ...more

I love books that have strong family dynamic. Clare’s family might not be normal but they run with it. It’s definitely unlike any other book I've ever read; there are psychics, a murder, mystery and a hot guy (or two). When the book begins it starts off on a suspenseful teasing note, and as the story progresses the suspense just keeps building, I found myself skimming a few pages ahead.
It was great on Kim's part to keep the suspense up, everyone was a suspect in my eyes, and I thought Perry was innocent from the beginning! But that didn’t stop me from wanting to prove my theory. I had such a strong pull to these characters.
Although having a psychic ability isn't always viewed upon as the best thing, you can’t help but be captivated by Clare and her family. And though the hot new FBI trainee Gabe wasn’t to open about why he didn’t like that aspect about her, you can't help but feel some pity for him as you learn about his reasons why. The romance aspect gives Clarity a bit of pizazz!
I anxiously waiting for the next book, Perception!*biting my nails* If your looking for a good mystery, paranormal, and a bit of romance, check this one out asap :)...more
