I am used to reading books about poly relationships as I am a huge fan of the RH genre. But when it comes to RH everyone is normally involved in the same relationship. In Chasing Risks our MC Ellie is actually in 2 separate relationships with 2 people who aren’t even really friends.
Ellie is this really amazingly self aware character. Other than a few hiccups at the end of the book she is always so sure of herself and so aware of her own short comings and strengths. I would honestly love to be like her. She knows what she wants and actually goes about getting it.
She has really great relationships with both her boyfriend and girlfriend and really makes this book for me.
There were times when I really wanted to punch Theo in the face for being such a jealous cow, other times I wanted to kiss Lucas for making this so easy for her and one time when I wanted to jump on Quincy’s tits for giving our lovely Ellie such a terrible ultimatum.
A really interesting read. A really fun, at times deep and really heard to put down book. Give it a go.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review. This is my honest opinion and I was in now way reimbursed for this review.

Then I figured it out and felt like a right git.
After that I actually really enjoyed it. Each short story had a very unique idea. And like every good short it is just interesting and fast paced enough to keep you on the edge of your seat and wishing for more.
A great collection of shorts. Amazing.

Warning. This book, although not based on true events, does draw parallels to what we went through the last couple of yearWhat an interesting premise.

Skye is an incredibly well-written character. Sheltered and kept in a facility for fertile women, she hasn’t learnt much about sexual relationships and what will be expected from her other than being a fertile, child-baring partner. And she takes it well, a little soft at times, but completely understandable.
Kamden, Deklan and Blaine are best friends and fight for the right to share their partner.
I liked the guys. They were really easy to like.
It is a short, fun read (you can finish it in a few hours) and I highly recommend it....more

And then I hit book two. And I flew through that too. This story is BRILLIANT. The first part is the perfect build-up. You learn all about who they all are and what they need to do. You become attached to the characters.
Then you hit part 2 and you get with all the action and the story really begins to develop. There are twisty turns and ups and downs. There are things that take you completely by surprise and leave you gasping. Like I said it's brilliant. Then, let's not forget... MONSTERS. Morgan has 6 of the most amazing men / monsters that are absolutely devoted to her in such a way that you turn (or well I did) green with envy - but not for long because you love Morgan so much you can't help but feel glad for her.
There are no words to describe how very much I love this FMC. She has been beaten down and abused by the people on her life to Morgan, Morgan, Morgan.
There are no words to describe how very much I love this FMC. She has been beaten down and abused by the people on her life to the point where most women would have buckled and given up. She has not. She's learnt to do what she needs to do and still survive.
Part 1 starts off where Morgan is swept off to her birth land (UK) and being forced to face the very sad reality that more than being abused, her family has been keeping big secrets from her, while also withholding her from the one person who could help her cope and love her unconditionally.
The way Sam Hall wrote the opening chapters of this book was heart breaking, and heart felt and so freaking well written that it hit me so hard.
As always Sam has the ability to take on hard hitting subjects and bring it across without it feeling like a sales gimmick or a lecture. Morgan has had to face some really tough things in her life and it's portrayed in a way that I feel for her without feeling triggered myself.
Now enough with the mushy gushy love-love shiz
Let's get into the fun stuff shall we? Monsters are definitely moving up in the world, and I gotta say I'm not disappointed. Morgan's monsters are exactly that, not the soft (or even hard) heros of old. They have horns, and tentacles and wings and they make magical things happen and it makes everything else extra amazing.
And lemme just say... The steam? Yum.
I absolutely adored the first part of this story and I am eagerly jumping head first into part 2 the second I'm done writing up this review.
Have you ever fantasized about waking up in an alternate universe and being worshipped by 3 handsome monsters? No? Just me? Oh well.
If your answer is Have you ever fantasized about waking up in an alternate universe and being worshipped by 3 handsome monsters? No? Just me? Oh well.
If your answer is yes – then this is the book for you. So she doesn’t quite just wake up in another world but it’s close enough.
Laila (Lay-la to her devoted harem) is a round girl. A very lovely round girl who learns to love herself quite a bit more as the book progresses. It certainly helps that her 3 very handsome, very big orcs make no secret of the fact that they worship her body as is.
This is such a sweet, low angst book that really left me with quite a few feels. Laila is a big departure from Sam Hall’s usual FMC’s and her softer artistic nature was fun to get to know.
Now, Vargan, Ghain, and Kren. Well. Well. Well. These orcs are just the most amazing thing since sliced bread. I feel like I need a set of my own to keep. Who wouldn’t want 3 large monsters protecting, loving and adoring you?
I’m really glad that Sam Hall has breached into the monster world and I am very eager to see what she does with Monster Street....more
