I would like to profusely apologize to everyone who saw my previous review of this. I have no fricken' idea why, but I rated this three stars the first time I read it? Like what? I was just on the phone with a friend, and I was ranting about how this is such a perfect four-star read. It's great. It's not so great that it's amazing, but it's so good that it's great. I inhaled this book like a fucking drug. I had so much fun, and I CANNOT wait to talk about it.
“See, if you take away my dick privileges, I’ll be fine for months. Years, even. But if I take away your pussy privileges? You’ll be utterly lost. Like a drowning man at sea, desperately grabbing for the vagina preserver.” She beams. “Therefore, vagina trumps penis.”
♡ Plot ♡
Allie is in a deep state of distress. The end of her senior year is looming over her, not to mention the recent breakup of her longtime relationship. It feels like her life is in shambles. She doesn't know the first step to moving on, much less enjoying the little time she has left of college. The answer to her questions can't possibly be a fling with Briar U's most sex-active hockey player, Dean Di Laurentis, can it?
Dean erased the word struggle from his vocabulary a long time ago. His life motto is pretty easy, by definition. Do what you want when you want to do it, and be happy. On paper, it sounds unrealistic, but in reality, It works pretty damn well. Until Allie. For the first time in forever, Dean has met his match. The sparks between Allie and Dean are undeniable. Except, oddly enough, Allie seems pretty set on denying them. Too bad Dean won't be giving up without a fight.
Dean has always been a character who has sparked my interest. Getting to see how different he sees himself vs. how people from past books see him is such a fun thing to read. On the outside, you think you know a lot about Dean just by assumption. But as you get to know him, you also get to see his hidden layers. Getting to watch him grow and learn more about him over the course of this book was fucking amazing. I love this story with my whole heart.
