I have apparently read The Fae Chronicles but I don’t remember a single thing about them, and I was completely and utterly lost in this one. There were characters and events that I was clearly supposed to know things about, but I didn’t have a clue. I didn’t get far enough in to rate, but if you want to give this one a go, make sure you read The Fae Chronicles first and don’t leave too much time between series....more

This just wasn’t working for me. The H did nothing for me and I couldn’t get a consistent take on his character. What I assume was intended to be humour just came off as silly. The sex scenes were a wasted opportunity, too. Why have 2 dicks if all you’re going to do is join them together into one? May as well have just made it one big one and called it a day. The whole thing felt like a poorly executed parody, and I don’t even think that was the intention. Maybe my mood, but my TBR is too big and too full of potential to keep going with this one!...more

Called it quits at 21% because there was nothing there that made me want to keep going....more

I really enjoyed the Lords of the Underworld series and there's no way in hell (no pun intended) that I'd have read even one of the books if this was my introduction. Hated what little I read of this one, but devoured the main in books in the series. Go figure....more

I started it, got a few pages in and decided I’d rather sleep. Went back to page one the next night and made it a little way in to chapter 2, but now I’m calling it, because life’s too short right?
The heroine is written way too young and silly for my taste. I loved Jaymin Eve’s Shadowbeast series A LOT, but this one’s not for me. Maybe it gets better, but I don’t care enough based on the little I read to find out....more

We just keep living the same scene over and over again.
"You left me for six years!" "I did it for you. Now say you're mine." "No"
Lots of sex.
"I lived without you for six years, I don't need you." "Damn you, you're mine"
Lots of sex.
"Blah, blah, blah" "Blah, blah."
Lots of sex.
And again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again.
Even if I liked the characters - which I DIDN'T - this is not enough to sustain me.
Jacob's Wolf becomes the second book ever to land on my DNF shelf....more
