Single mom Willa Fairchild and her young son, Scout, travel from Phoenix, Arizona to Marietta, Montana to spend the holidays at the Bramble House Bed & Breakfast. Willa was an RN, and the trip was part of a bequeath from a patient who had recently passed away. The man, Greg Conrad, had become a good friend. However, Willa was anything but the schemer and swindler he had imagined her to be--she was naturally charming, and he was drawn to her. Scout had also worked his way through Finn's defenses, but for one so young, there was an air of mystery about the boy. He seemed to have a certain wisdom beyond his six years, but he was experiencing many things for the first time. As Finn spent more and more time with Willa and Scout, he couldn't help but wish that the circumstances which brought them together were different. Willa is also very attracted to Finn, and she finds her heart wanting to trust again. When Willa finds out Finn's true identity and the reason he's really in Marietta, will she forgive him? How will Finn react to the truth about Scout and why Willa is such a protective mother? Come and stay a while at the Bramble House Bed & Breakfast. Danae Danvers has just landed the promotion of her dreams--Chief Marketing Officer at the Barton Boating Company. However, it's an interim position--contingent upon her ability to improve her communications with her coworkers and become a true team player worthy of being the team leader. Much to the dismay of the super-organize, Danae, her boss sets up a "corporate retreat" week-long boat tour for Danae and her team to strengthen their working relationships. Josh Wheeler had willingly turned his back on the corporate world, preferring life on the open sea, sailing his own boat, "Solitude", and occasionally taking work as a boat captain for private tours. After being bombarded with emails from Dane Danvers before the launch, he wasn't really looking forward to meeting the apparently uptight perfectionist. Frustrated by the lack of response to her emails from Josh Wheeler, Danae's anxiety levels had risen even higher regarding the successful outcome of the trip--it meant so much for the future for her and her family. When Josh and Danae meet and begin their journey, sparks--personal and professional--do fly--and each is a bit nonplussed by the other. A definite awareness turns toward an attraction, and as Josh begins to see beyond Danae's need for control, she starts to fall for his easy-going charm. They both have issues to overcome, and seeing themselves through one another's eyes may just give them a clearer view of the future. Josh may have more of a need for companionship and involvement than he realized. Danae begins to realize that when things don't go as planned, they may just turn out better than expected. Can the two of them blend together their opposite outlooks and create a future together filled with more love and laughter than they ever imagined? "Sailing at Sunset" is a delightful contemporary tale--just perfect for Summer breezes, tall, frosty tropical drinks, and sweet dreams of romance at sea.

In Bayberry, a quaint little town in Vermont, everyone's life revolves around the candle factory--they either work there, or they know somebody who works there. Many years ago, Wes Adams and his family had briefly lived in Bayberry--just long enough for Wes to develop a crush on a certain pretty girl named Kate. Now living in New York City, and working as a senior business consultant, Wes is quite surprised when he is given the assignment of traveling to Bayberry to do a business analysis for the candle company. Wes has long been hoping for a big promotion, and this could be his opportunity to really shine. Kate Taylor works for her Aunt Penney in their family-owned candle company, and she wouldn't have it any other way. While there are business concerns--growing expenses, old equipment, etc--the town wouldn't be the same without the factory, and Kate will do everything in her power to keep it going, not just for her family, but the sake of the community. Rattled by the presence of the handsome business consultant, Kate doesn't realize that she and Wes were short-time schoolmates, but he definitely remembers her, and he's still just as smitten. As Kate and Wes spend time working together, a friendship and awareness grows between them. Having guarded her heart and devoted herself to the factory for so long, Kate is aware that Wes is gradually wearing down her emotional armor. "Honeysuckle Season" is a time-spanning tale which takes readers back and forth on a journey from the WWII Era to present day in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Libby McKenzie is at a crossroads in her life--divorced--no husband, no children, and now she has lost her father. Returning to Bluestone, Virginia is a step back in time, but hopefully, it will also be a step forward. Starting life anew as a wedding photographer gives her focus, and she accepts the assignment of covering a wedding at Woodmont, a historic estate dating back to the early 1700's. The owner of the estate, Elaine Grant has restoration of the home and property in mind so that it can be reopened to the public, and she asks Libby to record the process on film. She has also hired Colton Reese as an overseer and repairman for the revitalization of Woodmont. Colton is a widower with two young sons, and, like Libby, he has personal issues to overcome. Layers of the past are uncovered as many years of overgrowth, age, and neglect are cleared away. In particular, the greenhouse has been a keeper of secrets, and now its generations of truths are about to be revealed. Readers will be sure to enjoy learning the "honeysuckle secret", and as a special treat, the author has included delicious recipes for scrumptious sweets. I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Virginia, and I wouldn't live anywhere else. There truly is "Mountain Magic". "Honeysuckle Season" is rich in emotion and atmosphere. A highly recommended read from author Mary Ellen Taylor.

Readers first met Ned Hudson in his brother Wil's story, "Second Chance with the Single Dad". Seeing how his brother has found romance and happiness, Ned makes a list of the qualities he thinks he needs in a wife. Approaching thirty, and settled in to managing his wealthy family's estate, Ned is ready to be a groom, not just the groomsman he has been in numerous weddings of other people. When he meets Freya Delaney, a photographer hired by his mother to capture images of the family home after a renovation, he is enchanted by the city girl who is the opposite of his "wife list". Freya had expected Ned to be a stuffy son-of-privilege, not a ruggedly handsome man-of-the-land whose exterior belies his real warmth and kindness. While these two are opposites in many ways, the attraction between them is immediate and mutual. One stormy night, the passion flares, and the connection they have felt from the beginning becomes a reality. Ned wants a relationship, but Freya has always protected her heart from serious involvement--a defense mechanism created from a troubled childhood and too many hurts.
