Obviously some government agencies disagree and think they might be an asset. Before they know it they're neck deep in international bioterrorism. As a couple as well as partners they are still going strong. This is another well ploted mystery that will keep you on your toes. I can't wait for the next book in this series. Hopefully they'll get closer to the killer responsible for Gary's brother murder. Looks like he wasn't the only one....more

One Man is trying to make a new life for himself and his son after years of abuse and at the same time he's chasing his dream. The other is dealing with consequences of an accident that left him and so many others struggling physically and emotionally. He made something out of his shattered dreams and he's not hoping for much more until this stranger walks into his life. Spring Rains is a slow burn, small town romance with a lot of significant backstory so don't read it as a standalone. I really enjoyed all the books in this series and can't wait to read Neil's and Connor's story. So much chemistry!...more

This writing duo never dissapoints. They once again managed to create an unique world with wide array of interesting characters - and interesting is me putting it mildly. It's a perfect mix of paranormal/action/found family/humor/mystery. Oh, I forgot to mention hot - and fire has very little to do with the heat... The characters introduced are so interesting and intriguing that my head is spinning. The good news is that each of them gets a story of their own very soon. When I finished this story I wanted their stories ASAP. Don't miss this one and for that matter any of the other books/series written by Roses. They are one click buy for me. ...more

Well, I was over the moon when I found out that she's back with a new series and she's here to stay! I was provided with an ARC by GRR. This is a great law enforcement procedural/mystery/slow burn/forced proximity/bi awakening... Extremely well researched, characters drawn out in depth including the side characters. I was drawn in at the page one and couldn't stop. There's a grumpy/ sunshine element in this story, but most of all, besides a thrilling man hunt, there's a seasoned, jaded team leader Jon, with many secrets and urges he's trying to keep contained and he's afraid of. So he's put on a facade that earned him a nick name Ice man. Suddenly introduced to his new team member, incredibly smart and kind hearted rookie Tracey shakes his world and his walls start to crumble. Enter Tracey. He's trying to find his footing in big leagues, dealing with a recent break up and relocation. All he needs on the top of it is bi awakening... There's no words to describe how much I've enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next one in the series. Highly recommended! ...more

You absolutely need to read the first three books in Veiled intentions series first and I hope you'll enjoy the ride as much as I did. Actually I've read it more than once. This series is a must read for all the lovers of slow burn, angst, small town romance/mystery/law enforcement and I guess kinda enemies to lovers. I loved this conclusion of the series. Nial has his questions answered no matter if he wants it or not. He's convinced that he made a peace with his mother's disapiarence, but that just him bottling his emotions. There's also a big surprise waiting for him, that, in his true nature, he's not convinced if he's happy with it or not. It's also very realistic. Although Mat and Nial are going stronger than ever, Mat can't help a lot. He's stuck with another mystery case and Nial's past leads him on a long road trip. I really appreciated the realism of feels. You won't find a lot of heat in this one, but it's exactly the way it's supposed to be. In this story heated intimate scenes would be really out of place. Although you'll find a lot of love and burning attraction along with the usual suspects from the series that will make you smile including Fenrir and He'll. This series wouldn't be the same without them. I feel that this book leaves a huge opening for a spin off, so I'm hoping for one in the near future....more

I was really hoping that Ari from FBI files series will get his own story. When he applied for a transfer to L.A. he definitely didn't know what he was signing up for. The world author created is imaginative and you'll meet some really interesting shifters to put it mildly. Ari and his experienced partner are on a rollercoaster of bizarre and dangerous situations, but Ari surprises Eoghan every step of the way. The attraction between the two is instantaneous and the book ends with strong HFN. What I missed was Ari's POW right from the beginning. In my opinion it came too late in the book. Also I wish that author would have done a better research on some very common mammal and insect species. For example: Bats are not blind. They just use their echolocation during the night to hunt better. They see just fine during the day. Bee drones don't have stingers. Bumblebees are not aggressive in general. Nevertheless it was an enjoyable and fun read. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. ...more

He doesn't realize that addiction is shaping and destroying his life and affecting the lives of the people closest to him and trying to help. The road to recovery and to finding the roots of his addiction is hard. Bryce: A father and recovering addict who worked hard to make something of his life and attone for past mistakes. Can two recovering addicts make it work? The odds are not in their favor. This is a very realistic and brilliantly written story about the downward spiral any addiction inevitably leads to. People often don't realize that gambling addiction is one of the most difficult addictions to fight off, because it takes over your mind so completely. There's no detox, just one step at the time for the rest of your life. I've seen it first hand and it didn't end well... I loved the individual POW's, but I missed more in depth interaction between MC's, so I couldn't escape the feeling that the second half of the book was a bit rushed. This book should be longer.Nevertheless it's a great read and I can't wait for the next book in this series....more

Heartbreakingly beautiful uplifting story about beautiful friendship, acceptance of differences, missed chances, words unsaid because of the ultimate fear to lose the most precious thing in your life - a person who makes you whole, who's is your home no matter where on the map that is. It appoints a whole new meaning to the old saying 'if you love them set them free' - don't worry it's a best possible HEA - it's the path that leads them there that's so touching. The way it's written is almost poetry. Author's attention to the details of intricate web of human mind, soul and relationships is amazing and intoxicating. It sucks you right down in the rabbit hole of your own surpresed memories and feelings. This book is everything - realistic, deep, romantic, hot... You name it it's there. No matter what they choose to write the story and the characters are always complex, developed in depth, multilayered. This book can't be read as a standalone. You need to read Solstice and Equinox first. Although each case is solved at the end of each book, there's a relationship dynamics and development that you can't possibly understand if you don't start at the beginning. "Two emotionally wounded men end up in a small town on Northern West coast. One has returned home to reinvent himself and mend fences. The other is running away from people. He trusts his animals more than people and is determined to keep it that way. This is brilliantly written, very slow burn, plot driven MM mystery suspense." This is a part of what I wrote in my reviews before and I still stand behind my words. I honestly think this is one of the best slow burn MM mystery suspense, small town romance series I've ever read. Each author is a force to be reckoned on their own, but writing together - match made in heaven. It's also a treat for all animal lovers. Zenith brings us another great mystery and this time it's personal. It's also a conclusion of the series. I'm not happy about it, because good things should last, but it was a right decision, because honestly - there's just so many murders that can happen in a really small town in a relatively short span of time. I'm still hopeful though - maybe a serial killer after a few years.... Authors also put a bug in my head in a single sentence by the end of the book about Gabriel's younger brother. Maybe a spin off... or...or......more
This is a new author to me and frankly it was the cover and the title that drew my attention first. I'm so glad I didn't miss this one! How to describe This is a new author to me and frankly it was the cover and the title that drew my attention first. I'm so glad I didn't miss this one! How to describe this excellent read? Basically it's a historical western that could be happening (according to some clues) in 1870th' and as such it could stand on it's own, but paranormal elements are an added bonus that adds to the story more than expected. The language that fits the times takes some pages to get used to, but grows on you naturally real fast. There's a love story and there's a HEA but it blands naturally into an epic story about family, secrets, regrets, acceptance and forgiveness. In some elements we can draw paralels with the history and some ugly facts of old west history come to mind. As contradictory as it may sound, because of the fantasy trope, it's one of the most realistic stories I've read in some time as far as the human interactions and feelings are concerned. So many secrets! They are revealed gradually, and masterfully I might add, from different POWs only to raise more questions. Don't worry they are all answered by the end. Also be prepared for some heartache and loss. Summary: highly recommended, excellent, writing, unique world - it's a book you don't want to miss if you are interested to read something a bit more different and 'out of the well worn paths ' in the genre....more

Authors who can write their flawed characters with such depth, understanding and emphaty are rare. So are the authors who can make you smile as Ren and Dominic can even in most desperate situations. The grass is usually not greener on the other side after all.. Is it possible to gain shattered trust again, pick up the pieces and build something even stronger? The paranormal aspect of the story basically serves to explain Owen's unconventional memory loss, but also provides some much needed entertaining moments as the reprieve from angst. I missed a little more backstory to their relationship as it was before and at some points the story gets a little repetitive, but that aside it was an enjoyable read....more

Not to mention that Danny has a little box that's been burning a hole in his pocket for quite some time. What could possibly go wrong? Well.. just about everything. First a heads up. This book, like every other in this series deals with individual case but can't be read as a standalone. If you just jump in you'll be lost and missing out so much fun, so start with book one and enjoy the ride. In the sea of paranormal stories it's really difficult to write something so very much different and original that it stands out in nearly every aspect of the story. Vawn Cassidy did it - that was clear from the page one of the book one in this phenomenal series. I can't rate this book alone because it can't be read as a standalone. All I have to say about this book alone without any spoilers is that it didn't only met my hopes and expectations, but exceeded them. Oh and Danny finally faces his family. I absolutely loved that part. And don't fret that you'll miss Dusty, since they are going away. She's very much present and medling as usual. For those new to the series I'll just repeat what I wrote before, because I still stand behind what I wrote. I'll keep this short. I'll keep this relatively short, because many other reviewers have expressed my thoughts about this book far more eloquently that I ever could. If you I'll keep this relatively short, because many other reviewers have expressed my thoughts about this book far more eloquently that I ever could. If you can't find them here I suggest you read the reviews on Goodreads. I was hoping for Wade's story almost from the moment he entered Soulbound universe. Let's just say that his story met my hopes and expectations and exceeded them at some points. His character stood out, demanding the story of his own, but he was too young at the time to get a romantic story or any kind of HEA especially regarding the dramatic events in previous books in this series. So if you are new to Soulbound series disregard a disclaimer that says that this can be read as standalone - you'll be lost and missing out so much. You'll get excellent writing, fast paced story with memorable characters and unique imaginative world, some humor, angst, found family and urban fantasy at it's best. Don't worry - the heat is there. Suggestion: Have some fun Googling the facts about array of gods and folk legends that play significant roles in all the books - the amount of research put in this series is amazing and I can guarantee you'll found tons of information about every single one. I was absolutely stunned when I found not one but two folk tale creatures that are only known in my very little corner of the world. To those who read the series - Wade is grown up in many aspects although he's still a fledgling dragon and he needs to eat - a lot! Patrick and Jono are confident (almost) that he can handle some complicated pack diplomacy on his own. He handles it with his known sass and growing confidence. But can he handle the matters of the heart or body demands regarding his terrible experiences as a teen? Fortunately he meets his perfect match in Geraint. Their relationship starts with mutual attraction, but it grows in so much more based on Geraint's emphaty and Wade's instincts and grooming by his found family - the grooming that always allowed him a choice, so he subconsciously extends it to the others. This book is packed with significant emotional moments without being overly sweet, action scenes that only this author can create and humor. BTW - don't read Ii hungry - you'll regret it! ...more
