** spoiler alert ** Might work better as a version of Monopoly. Here are some suggestions for the Chance and Community Chest cards:

SOMEONE YOU THOUGHT WAS DEAD IS ACTUALLY ALIVE. ADVANCE 5 SPACES.

THE MYSTERIOUS STRANGER IS SOMEONE YOU KNEW IN THE FIRST VOLUME. GO BACK 10 SPACES.

EVERYONE ELSE IS INVOLVED IN A CONSPIRACY AGAINST YOU. MISS A THROW.

PAY A ONE TRILLION CREDIT FINE OR HAVE A MYSTICAL INSIGHT.

TURN INTO A GIANT SANDWORM AND EAT ALL THE OTHER PLAYERS.

etc etc...

Richard Sugar and spice and everything nice.
That's what little sandworms are made of.

Manny Hey, don't forget the flashing crystal teeth! That's one of the essential ingredients.

Oops! I forgot about the flashing crystal teeth. It's been a few decades since I read this!

notgettingenough Hilarious.

Nick by far my least favorite of the series

Manny I disliked Heretics of Dune even more, but it's a bit academic...

Tim Or perhaps, merely a game of... "Sandworms and Ladders/Trapvines"?

(As I make my way through this series again for some reason after many years, I do find this book to be the weakest so far; but mainly the first half. Okay, maybe the first three quarters. There remains (for me) some good, and rather unique, stuff in there though. And some of the crazy mystical speeches at the end actually do (for me) tie some of the ridiculous things together and stimulate thought. But I can also understand a certain recurring exasperation with this narrative.)

Manny I agree, it does pick up a bit towards the end...

Ramón S. Buhaha ha 😂thanks for the fun. You are completely right

Manny So you also like playing Children of Dune Monopoly™? I thought I was the only one.
