Rating: 1 star because 2 seems like way too much

Okay so generally I would rate MCs, plot, story etc. But with this book I think giving stars in minus is very disrespectful, and don't want to do that. I just didn't like the book. And I am kind of ashamed because for a fraction of second I wanted to rate it more than a star. What can I say, I am sucker for a good HEA.

I don't know what I disliked more, the MCs or the way story leads. TBH, I wouldn't have mind if the MCs didn't end up together. There were so many issues I don't even know where to begin with .

- Okay so hero is still in love with heroine, even after seven years but didn't even check on her once. what the heck! I am exaggerating this because he is her step brother, that means they are family and even if she did something oh so unforgivable, which she didn't, you could still keep tabs on her. You will know what I am talking about if you read it.



-I can still tolerate the heroine, just making making bad life decisions. But that hero, OMG I just can't stand him. I don't know why writer made him a doctor. He is so gullible and dumb for such an intelligent and patience profession.

So there is a age gap not very taboo or something but like 9 or 10 years if I remember correctly. He takes heroines virginity and make lot and lots of love, who is still in her teens but legal, for like straight two or three days and then see her sister getting poisoned by drugs, see his mother blame his step sister aka heroine that she gave drugs to his sister, see her get kicked out by her dad immediately and do what?! Nothing fucking nothing!

If you read this book, in this scene I am pretty sure you would want to smack that son of bitch. He was literally like huh all the evidence points out on you so I guess you are a bitch who blindsided me for a while just because maid found drugs in heroine's room.

And when they meet after 7 years you know what happens, his fucking dick stirs up first and then he realizes he is still in love and will not let her go ever again.


- You know what was the worst part, where heroine just accepts everything. Like him being away for 7 years, not trusting her is nothing. Even she begs in her mind that if he would stay and not leave. And all this happens in really short time of period like in week or so. I really don't like saying this but I have say here heroine is kind of a door mat.


- There is also this drama with two kids which heroine takes care of. One is her sister and another is her baby but not really (hide spoiler)]

Final thoughts: What a waste of time. Would I recommend it? Definitely not.
