Criminy, this might be the hardest review I’ve ever written. Strictly because I’m afraid of giving spoilers.

First and foremost … holy smokes. Like where has this author been all my life?! Because this book right here just blew me away.

Not just the suspense aspect, although that was stellar. But the entire package. From the awful cast of characters, to the vivid world of this wretched neighborhood to the utter horror of Rainy’s life of degradation.

Jesus Christ! It breaks my heart that she’s convinced herself that she’s not worthy of Rowan’s love. That she deserves every horrible thing that’s happened to her. Gah! I’m literally crying right now.

I cried through half this damn book but I never wanted to put it down. Lily White had me in her firm grip and never let me go from page one.

Also the narrators on the audio were stellar. You know I love Jason Clarke but Rose Dioro made this! She was perfectly emotional, the cadence, the tone exactly right.

I could gush for days but mostly I’m afraid of giving it all away so I’ll stop here. But do yourself a favor. If you haven’t read this … DO IT!
