I love Lucy Parker's books, and this was no exception.
I loved everything Pat and Matthias, their lovely getting closer, the amazing chemistry between them.
I loved that there were no stupid misunderstandings. As in her other books, the author's MCs behaved like grown adults (such a relieve!!).

There were some minor things I didn't care for that much, like the way Johnny came across as if he were a toddler stumbling from one awkward incident to the next, and not a grown man. The many situations he had to be rescued from felt over the top (and the story would have worked as well, if not better, without those exaggerated happenings in my opinion).

Overall I enjoyed the novel a lot, though.
There were lots of inner thougts and less interactions between the MCs than in the authors other novels, and these interactions were the best parts of the story. So so lovely to read.

And now I long to reread Pretty Face, my favorite by Lucy Parker! 😁
