I can't tell you how happy I am that I decided not to DNF this one... Because I nearly did there.
First of all, it was slow to pick up. It wasn't until the 20+% that I finally started to enjoy the story. It was that slow. My advice, don't give up early like I almost did. I assure you that things will pay off immensely.
Other than that, it also featured a dual timeline (something that I again, didn't fancy much of) but when things were finally cleared up, I went back and reread that other timeline carefully. I went into this book blindly, so maybe that's why I didn't see the whole (view spoiler) plot.
All in all, I freaking love it. The world building and the plot, amazing. The characters, amazing. This is my perfect fantasy romance read here.
