it was amazing

My kind of writer!

Grace, a widow whose husband passed away two years before but had been suffering from dementia prior, sells the family farm in Granite Springs and moves to Bellbird Bay where her sister Dot lives. She's currently working part time at the library and is writing her first children's book.

Ted, who was a surfing champ in his youth, is a retired attorney from the big city and has moved back to the Bay. Now he leisurely surfs, hones his skills in painting and is a volunteer with Turtle Care."

I really enjoy Maggie's books, especially the characters of a "mature" age. She truly writes great characters with everyday problems with whom the reader can either connect or empathize. Our families have had to deal with some of these situations, but at least in a romance novel this is a HEA and can take us away from the everyday stressors. I also enjoy the descriptions of Bellbird Bay and the peace it brings to the main characters of Grace and Ted - well, the peace it can bring when their grown children's lives get sorted! Coming Home to Bellbird Bay is a wonderful mature look at a second love in life which I heartily recommend!
