I’m usually a big fan of the single dad and manny trope, but this was more of a love story featuring Gideon (single dad) and Toby (manny) with baby Benson right at the center of it. It was really sweet and heartwarming, but also very baby-focused. To the point that when the MCs finally got their raunch on I kept thinking OMG folks keep it down; we don’t wanna wake up the baby. They really killed the sexy vibe for me. So just be prepared for a lot of cutesy nicknames, and talk about diaper changes, teething, etc. Also Toby was so perfect that he didn’t feel like a real character.

~Nicole~ Well, I wouldn’t hire a nanny who isn’t perfect with my baby lol I mean, he wouldn’t be a nanny if he wasn’t very capable in taking care of a child 🤣🤣

Nelly S. (brain fog sucks) @Nicole, 😂😂 Totally valid point but it wasn’t about Toby being capable or not. It was more like he was a flawless, uber perfect being. I don’t know quite how to explain it.

~Nicole~ Maybe it’s what Agla here said, he’s too….1950 housewife. He does it all , he cleans, he cooks, he does the laundry, and the shopping,he walks the baby, and he does it with a smile on his face and easy peasy like an annoying Mary Poppins. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 If so, I hear ya.. 😁❤️❤️❤️

Nelly S. (brain fog sucks) @Nicole, yes! Exactly! Agla totally nailed it.

message 5: by L Ann (new)

L Ann Oh God, this does not sound like something I'd enjoy. I already don't like stories with young children but an actual baby? I've had three of them and let me tell you nothing kills the vibe quicker than babies, lol. I'd like to keep anything related to baby talk, diaper changes, or teething as far away from my romance as possible. lol I'm glad it didn't totally ruin the reading experience for you though. I think the cover's really cute.

Nelly S. (brain fog sucks) @L Ann, 😂🤣 you’re killing me with the not wanting to read anything with babies! Trust me I get it after this.
