R'jaal's Resonance (Ice Planet Clones, #1)

Honestly coulda been a 4 ⭐️ but I just think Ruby Dixon did her heroine a disservice with the fanfic writer thing. In the authors notes she says it’s a nod to her friend who reads and writes fanfiction, which makes sense, because no one in the fanfiction realm would talk about it like this heroine did. Any time fanfiction came up the dialogue got clunky, and it ultimately did nothing for the plot. I like how often times each heroine will introduce a new technology to the planet, like Bridget with pottery. And our heroine in this book, Rosalind, starts to introduce paper and the written word. Which makes sense of course, but the character is also a librarian. So she could have just… been a librarian.
But besides that glaring issue, I liked the couple. Our hero has been waiting for his time to shine for a loooooong time and it was nice to see him happy.

"I was SO EXCITED to be done and now we have a THIRD spin off series 😭😭😭 That said I’m enjoying the new world building and our hero lol. The heroines fault obsession with fanfiction is the bad part. Like Ruby Dixon was clearly never in the fanfic world and her vernacular is absolute ass"
