it was amazing
bookshelves: arcs, sports-romance, hockey-romance, single-mom, second-chance, cinnamon-roll-mmc

I received an eARC from Julia Connors in exchange for my honest review. This was my first book by this author. It did not disappoint. I was sucked into the story right away, literally could not put this down and read in one sitting. This book is part of a series, but reads as a standalone.

This story follows Lauren and Jameson. Lauren is a broken, single mom to twins. Her husband dies suddenly and she has to try and reconfigure her life. She gets help from her husband agent, Jameson, who use to be a former colleague. Jameson is a former NHL hockey player, who gave up that career to take care of his family. He became a ruthless sports agent, who was determined to be the best

This story captivated me from beginning to end. I loved the dynamic between the two MCs. Jameson is one of the best book boyfriends I’ve read and you need to meet. He is so caring and attentive, it made my heart melt. He is thoughtful and observant and only shows his cinnamon roll side to the people he loves. Lauren is a strong FMC. She is resilient, hardworking, and a good mom and friend. I loved their story so much!

Tropes:
🏒 Hockey Romance
🏒 Single Mom
🏒 Second Chance
🏒 Cinnamon Roll Hero
