Dr. Adrian Giordano is comfortable in his life – glad for his friends and their recent mating, pleased with the business he operates and just glad overall for all he had.

The last thing he has on his agenda his finding a mate, but faith and his pheromones were against him when he is sent to escort Sheridan Montgomery to a pack meeting. From the moment he senses her he knows who she is – his life mate. But Adrian was not yet ready to be tied down and he was going to fight it as much as he can.

Sheridan Montgomery is looking for shelter- she is being hunted and she is really up against the wall in what to do. Coming home, as Halle feel like it - to friends who are more than open to helping her deal with the challenges that she knows will find her ultimately – she now awaits her escort to get the formal introduction to the pack on the way.

Sheri comes with serious baggage, a disability and a dog – but as soon as she senses Adrian, she waste no time in letting him know she was not in the run for a mate because as much as she wants to deny it she knows that Adrian is her mate.

Danger does come calling and it is in the shape of a big bad wolf and he was vicious and out for blood. The need to protect one’s mate is ingrained in Adrian and as much as he does not want a mate when he finds out what is after Sheri he man’s up and accepts his responsibility. Added to that he finds out he is more essential to the building of the Halle Pumas that he would ever have dreamed and along with making Sheri his own, Life in small town Halle has suddenly become a three ring circus.

CAT OF A DIFFERENT COLOR is the third book in the Halle Pumas series and there is danger, lust, love and power at play in this book. Straight off I was impressed with Sheri – it’s not often that I see a shifter book with a disable protag and I was immediately on the look out for how Ms. Bell would handle this part of the story.

Sheri and Adrian are well developed character and I liked the time Ms. Bell took to flesh them out and their ultimate roles in the pack. She gave them a sense of humour as well as a sense of community that would came in handy when they needed them.

The Halle Pumas themselves were not brush into the corner in this book, the hierarchy was being formed and this I loved more than anything else in the book – it’s was a well played move to see the pieces of a pack falling into place.

This books has wolves making an appearance and they do make and impact. For good and bad reasons but none the less they weigh heavily in how wonderful this book was.

The pace of the book moves fast – the scenes moves like snap shot of camera and with each picture I got, there was an excitement not only of the impending danger but of bigger things about to happen to this pack.

Bottom line…

CAT OF A DIFFERENT COLOR just solidify the fact that this series rocks. Ms. Bell tosses in some genuine danger and excitement in this book and I enjoyed it immensely. Sheri and Adrian are easy on the nerves and with a timely flow and enough smut to burn the sheets – I was loving this third book.
